If you like westerns

Good storylines, held my interest from beginning to end! Never would have guessed the ending of the last book. I highly recommend this set. Only problem I had was the frequent typos and lots of "glowing" eyes.

Fair only

The stories were not bad but not really good either. One thing that really bothered me was that all of the women in the stories were totally useless. They were all senseless, fainting at the drop of the hat and none of them were very much good for anything but getting into trouble by doing something stupid.

Decent read

Most of the characters appear close to the same description and if the books are read individually that would be fine but read one after the other in series it got a little preedictable . The stories are good and entertaining over all I was not disappointed.

Steady Work in Western s

Each book in this set is an excellent story and combine for an exceptional Western experience. Characters are engaging and realistic with lots of descriptions of their environment. Together these stories make a significant contribution to the understanding of the development of the West.

Good coection of stories.

In a couple of the stories the author killed off to many of the good people. I that's what happened in those days, but the reader, naturally, wants the hero's friends to have a happy ending.

Western flavor in this collection

Love the western genre, and this does not disappoint. From the dry and dusty towns of the plains to weddings. The smell almost comes through the pages. The laid-back attitude to hustlers and thieves, this collection covers it it all.

Great Reading!

It was a good book, lots of stories and well worth the price. Since the author wasn't one that I knew I wasn't worried because of the price.
