Starting exactly where it left off in Part I, Part II doesn't skip a beat. While Webb and Corbett are returning to Paradise, the two most important women in Webb's life are taken hostage in order to protect the The Society of Cincinnati's secrets. Will Webb get back in time to save the ones he loves or will retrieving Corbett be all for naught?

Just like with Part I, I could not put this book down. Not only does Part II have a quicker pace, but the grittiness with which it is written will keep you begging for more. I sincerely recommend this book and make sure you get Part I if you haven't done so!

I love a good serialized novel but there is always a problem when the story is still incomplete... Don't get me wrong I love the serial but oh the waiting, it pains us ;-) .... As more of the conspiracy surrounding Lincoln's death is revealed to our intrepid newspaperman. Our heroes find themselves in deeper trouble then ever...

Oh the waiting... The good news is, Kevin Summers says Part III will be out later this year... So get the first 2 parts and share the pain.

A terse and grisly "alternate history" western, independently published. I enjoyed the story but was distracted by a few mistakes along the way - names spelled differently (Rance/Ranse), or the names of the deceased wives being mixed up. All in all, an enjoyable quick read though.

Continues the story from book one, and raises the stakes in some great, gruesome ways. No one is safe. Looking forward to book 3 and the conclusion!

An interesting tale that I did not want to put down. Lots of action, engaging characters and thought provoking possibilities.
Thanks for a good read, Kevin.

Just as good as the first (I read both of these at the same time).
