My father traded me to the most powerful man in Chicago. I swore I’d never let another man own me.
Dante Caruso is the new don. Cold. Controlled. Built like a fortress with eyes that see everything.
I’m supposed to be his perfect mafia bride—beautiful, silent, obedient. A bloodline in a black dress. And after what the last powerful man did to me, I know better than to let anyone past my walls.
But Dante doesn’t want my obedience. He wants something deeper.
He tells me to breathe, and the panic goes quiet. He gives me structure, and the weight lifts off my chest. He looks at me like I’m not a transaction—like I’m something precious.
And when he asks me to call him Daddy… the walls around my heart start to crumble.
I spent years learning to need no one.
So why does surrendering to his discipline feel like finally coming home?
Mafia Daddy is an arranged marriage mafia romance, starring a guarded mafia bride and the dominant Don who’ll burn his empire before he lets anyone hurt her again.
Lucky Moon writes steamy age play romances. Her books are full of heat, heart, and very satisfying happy ever afters.
When she's not creating chemistry on a page, she's hanging out with her cats, taking forest walks, and trying to make the perfect taco. But whatever she's doing, she's always dreaming up new ways to give her readers exactly what they want. And then some...
I really enjoyed this story, however there were a lot of inconsistencies. One minute they are in the library, the next he’s laying her down on the bed. Also I’m sure more than once Dante referred to her standing with her mom and the memorial services for his dad, but in other parts of the story she talks about her mom dying when she was 12. There was also no conclusion. After her kidnapping they are talking about a meet with all the heads of the family, and it even gives a little bit of a count down to the days before the meet up with them gaining alliances and then they choose each other, decide to get remarried and then it’s the end. No word about the meet up, no conclusion on what happens during the meeting, or what is going to happen with Enzo. The story is just done. Which is very annoying to me. The next book is about Santo, so there is no way to know if the conclusion is in the start of that book or not.
I’ve done read around 21 books by Lucky Moon and they are good every single time.
I loved Dante & Gemma’s story. They make the perfect couple. This book leads heavy on the mafia aspect with a sub trope of ddlg that blends in beautifully.
The spice is pretty low but the story and plot make up for it. Definitely recommend!
✨Tropes | Triggers✨ Mafia Dom | Sub Daddy | Little Rules | Punishments Forced Marriage Death of Parent Sibling Banter Kidnapping
Mafia Daddy was an intense arranged marriage mafia romance with a possessive don, a guarded heroine, and a lot of emotional weight. Dante came across as cold and powerful at first, but I really liked that beneath that hard exterior he was deeply protective and attentive. The heroine’s trauma and fear gave the story more depth, and I appreciated that the romance wasn’t just dark and spicy, but also about trust and healing. 🖤
The dynamic between them is definitely the main draw here. This book leans into the mafia atmosphere, forced marriage tension, and a dominant/protective hero who wants total devotion but also makes her feel safe. That mix made Dante a compelling character, and it kept me invested in how their relationship would grow. The chemistry was strong, and the emotional vulnerability gave the story a softer side than I expected. 🔥✨
Overall, this was a gripping, steamy romance for readers who enjoy dark mafia stories with a protective “touch her and die” kind of hero. Definitely check the content warnings first, but if you like arranged marriage, emotional healing, and possessive mafia men, this one is worth picking up 💣❤️.

I absolutely loved Mafia Daddy by Lucky Moon—dark, emotional, and completely unforgettable.
Gemma and Dante’s story pulled me in right away. The arranged marriage trope mixed with her past trauma and his quiet intensity created such a powerful, layered dynamic. Gemma’s fear and guarded heart felt so real, and watching her slowly begin to trust again was honestly emotional.
Dante is everything. Cold, controlled, and terrifying to everyone else—but with her? Patient, protective, and deeply attentive. He doesn’t just want obedience—he wants her, all of her, and that difference made their connection feel so meaningful. The way he supports her, grounds her, and helps quiet her panic… it hit hard.
And when her past comes back to threaten everything? The stakes skyrocket. Dante is ready to burn everything down to protect her, and that level of devotion was intense in the best way.
The ending though—WOW. I was not ready. Emotional, powerful, and left me needing more immediately. I need the next book.
Dark, protective, and full of feeling—I laughed, I cried, and I’m completely hooked.

Get comfortable hang on you won’t want to put it down until the last page has been turned. Gemma is sweet, a little who have been hurt so many times by past men that all she could do was protect herself as best she could but with all the betrayal and now she is to marry the new Don an unknown situation. Dante sexy as all get out new Don taking over after the death of his father a daddy at heart, but he isn’t a man you want on your radar, dangerous, ruthless when needed, deadly when it comes to those he cares about and now, he is getting married. The magnetic pull is there for him from the moment he meets his little girl but she has trust issues, walls so high will he be able to show her that he will protect her, that he can love her past her hurt, will he show her that he actually see her that she isn’t just a pawn to him, she is valuable, and will it lead to their happiness?
Will duty to the family possibly lead to love? I feel for Gemma as her father dismisses her expansion plan for the family business and reminds her of her duty to the family with her arranged marriage to Dante who just lost his father. Yet after the funeral for Dante’s father, Dante tunes in to Gemma so when she is approached by a rival family member, Dante steps in to calm and protect her. Gemma doesn’t understand the dynamics of what Dante does to her with his touch, but Dante does and hopes for the missing piece to complete him that he never thought he would find. Dante’s father took a secret to his grave that is a ticking time bomb waiting to be revealed. When Gemma reveals her troubled past, their worlds seemingly collide putting them in jeopardy. What will Dante do? You have to read to find out and don’t expect to put the book down until you turn the last page!
Gemma is the "Perfect" mafia daughter; she's been so hurt in the past by men that she now has walls so high that no one can get through.
Dante is the new Don; his father just died, and he needs to figure out if it was foul play or natural consequences. Three days later, he's getting married to his arranged wife, Gemma.
He is immediately drawn to her, with the need to protect and make her feel safe.
The story is a bit of a slow burn, but I loved the interactions between the two, his care, and how he learns to love her. This is the first time Gemma has felt seen by a man.
Such a good story.

This was really good and I cannot wait for the next one
My Thoughts 💭 I'm definitely ready for the next part of this series it follows a set of brothers and they are trying to not only figure out who killed their father but they're also like trying to navigate now taking over the like Mafia and like being able to still do what their father wanted for their legacy so I mean putting this all together is just a mystery and yet character development but also then it's for looting that each of them get a woman and it's going to be exciting to see with the other two brothers how this pans out but I'm super glad that this book showed and represented ddlg entertainer way but still within a very good range.
This is Book 1 of the Chicago Dons series. And a FANrastic start it is! Look forward to more from this world.
'Mafia Daddy is an arranged marriage mafia romance, starring a guarded mafia bride and the dominant Don who’ll burn his empire before he lets anyone hurt her again.'
The characters drove the storyline and they were so very appealing and complex and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was solidly drawn and impressive. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

Dante and Gemma are in an arranged marriage but Dante immediately is drawn to her but she has issues from her past and she knows what mafia men are like and has no trust for her new husband. This book sets up everything for the next books in the series. I love Dante and how much he wants to be a daddy to Gemma and earn her trust. There is drama, mystery and a really good ddlg relationship. I can’t wait for the next books in the series. There are so many questions to be answered and I can’t wait to see what happens with the brothers. This is an excellent read and what a great start to a new series.

I loved everything about this story. There is a Daddy/Little dynamics in play but the real story is that of Dante helping Gemma realize that for the first time in her life, she was visible and the most valuable thing in his world. This is their story and it is probably one that I will remember for quite a while. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and are voluntarily leaving a review.
From Terrifying Hope to HEA! This story is fire! Dante Caruso is a Mafia Don and Daddy Dom to his new wife Gemma. Author Lucky Moon blends his two personalities and gives the reader a beautiful story filled with danger, love, and edge of your seat suspense. Mafia Daddy is a standalone story and the first book in Lucky Moon’s Chicago Dons Series. I can’t wait for Dante’s Queen of Chaos little sister (Donatella), and two brothers to get their own stories.
This book had no trigger warnings and needed them. There is talk through out the book multiple times of grooming and statutory rape of a 16 year old. It is concerning that the author didn't think this would be triggering or upsetting. It was mentioned so many times that it almost became the entire story itself and was hard for me to enjoy anything else.
OMG if you have Danye and Gemma in your kindle you are going to feel the heat radiate from your kindle. This book has HOT and STEAMY romance, suspense and OMG let's not forget about the characters that will make you toes curl. Lucky has written ONE PHENOMENAL erotic read that you will not stop reading until the last word is read.
Dante just had a great loss, Gemma is use to being invisible. Individually they are fine, but I love them together. It may be an arranged marriage, but the care Dante shows for Gemma made me smile. This is not a quick flash of heat. It delivered a fantastic story though. Great book.

stuff that was completely unnecessary for the plot, but skipped over parts that i was waiting on to happen! (like i was waiting on the FMC to tell the MMC what happened to her at the end, and see his reaction to it)
the ending!! it's definitely not a HEA but a HFN ending
Well, I actually enjoyed the book. It was interesting,it wasn’t the best book I read but still entertaining. However I hate cliffhangers and it is closing with a massive one 🙄 it feels like the book is missing the last chapters to tie the story together. Just a cut and ➡️➡️➡️the end.
I enjoyed this book and look forward to continuing this new series. Gemma and Dante's story was actually quite emotional and moving. There was just something about these two that touched my heart. I think it had plenty to do with Gemma's history and just how swoony and caring Dante was to her.
I absolutely loved Mafia Daddy! I think this may just be my favorite reads from Lucky Moon yet! I love the connection and chemistry that Dante and Gemma have.
I LOVED THIS BOOK WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED BY THE ABRUPT ENDING. NOW I HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE TO COME OUT. THERE WAS SO MUCH EXCITEMENT AND LOTS OF STEAMY SCENES. CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT ONE. 📖🔥✨💞🔥✨🔥✨🔥✨🔥🔥✨📚 I JUST READ THE NEXT BOOK NOW I UNDERSTAND THIS ENDING. LOVED IT 🔥✨✨✨✨🔥🔥
