Rockstar Romance with a tangled history 🎸🎸🎸🎸
Who doesn't love a why choose rockstar romance where some boyfriends are also boyfriends? I know I sure do! All I can say is I can't wait for book 2 because I know for sure there are going to be some twists coming our way and I can't wait to see the whole groups relationship progress and find out if the secrets tear the group apart of bring them together.

Ohhh how I’ve missed KM Bakers writing. This book was so freaking good, why choose where the boyfriends are also boyfriends and with some incredibly spicy scenes 😮💨 I feel like I need the next book asap!! 😍

Alara, was in a band, she had feelings for the male band members until a falling out and accident caused her to lose some of her memory. This is where it starts to get complicated, as she finds herself with one of the newest band members. What transpires from her meeting the original band members? Will her memory return?

This had me hooked from the beginning! Love the memory loss plot, it added so much mystery about why it happened to her. With multiple mmcs i cant help but to love one the most but all of the characters have their own background stories going and it made each and everyone so interesting! That ending had me gasping! Im so excited to find out more!

4⭐️ HOLD ON!! I ate this UP, omg?!? This is a why choose romantic suspense and i was sat from the very first page.. HELLO?! From the plot, to the romance, to the characters, to that ENDING?! Oh i was not putting this down LMAO. I actually love Alara and all her men. Every single one of them are gems and all their backstories had me so sad for them. THEY ALL DESERVED BETTER! But, I think out of everything the plot and build up of the romance is my favorite. At first, i was unsure of Nix and his feelings but it grew on me and made sense for the grand scheme of things. That ending was truly such a gag because *HE* is actually so suspicious 😭 ugh i need book two ASAP.

This is the first book in a long time I have finished within 24 hours and NEEDED more straight away.

i don’t think there’s anything KM writes i wouldn’t read.
she always has the easiest to read books, that get you hooked from the beginning. i enjoyed this one so much, i feel her books are always different from the regular genres i usually go for and they do it for me everytime.

Honestly I was hooked from the prologue alone. I honestly couldn’t put the book down because I needed to know what was going to happen. I loved our characters and their chemistry. Im intrigued to see what happens in book two.
My only complaint? Having to wait for book two after that cliffhanger.

From the start, it was SO interesting. I have not had this much fun reading in a while. There was a small glimpse of them as a band and how their dynamic worked before the amnesia, especially with Alara and Ender being on the verge of starting something between them. It was before they got their big break and while they were still trying to prove themselves. Too bad they did not wait for her when they got the deal because she never showed up… since she was attacked and they never knew 😭. Ender and Alara shared one kiss and then we lost them. They never even got the opportunity to become something. He was the main love interest in the beginning, and now he has been sidelined because they have not even gotten together in the present timeline. I already adore them together 🥹.
If it is not Glenn behind this… then WHO is blackmailing her?! I need the next book NOW 😭. I cannot be left hanging like this. I need more development between Ender and Alara because she has already had a group scene with Nix, River, and Lane. River literally called his family to help clean up the evidence after she killed a man in self defense 🫡😭.

He acts like an asshole because he lost two of the closest people in his life, Rocky, his brother, and Alara, who he never realized did not willingly leave him. He was absolutely an asshole the night before they argued, especially with the comment asking if she was on her period. Uncalled for 😭. BUT that does not mean he deserved to suffer for two years because of one mistake. Now he pretends to be a womanizer and a complete asshole, notice the pattern, but underneath all of that he is deeply suffering. OH ENDER 😭. In the present timeline, he was rude and wanted to avoid her because 1) seeing her was a reminder that he did not look hard enough for her and lost years with her and 2) she was dating Nix, so he felt like he could not have her too. The second she called him out, though, he softened and promised to do better. Keep in mind, this man called her the love of his life. He loves her. It is just painful for him to be around her knowing she does not remember him or the rest of the guys. I genuinely feel bad for him .
And the tattoo reveal 😭. The tulips he got for her because she once mentioned liking tulips, but she does not remember. HE remembers. OH I AM CRUSHED. She still keeps the silk flower he gave her before they lost contact 😭🥹.

HE IS A LOVER BOY 😭💖. I love how adorable and nervous he was about asking her on a date. He is literally the reason they were reunited because he broke the rules, snuck out, stumbled across her at open mic night, and fell HARD. Listen. I am obsessed with a man who is this pathetic over a woman 😭. He is a genuine yearner. Not to mention the dinner scene 🤭👏🏽. Lane clocked everything immediately and was watching them the entire time. Then Nix turns around and becomes a complete gentleman. He asks her to stay over but offers to take the couch himself. Sir, you are fine with everything else but suddenly the bed is where you draw the line? 😭 He is too funny. One thing I really appreciate is that he communicates. He is not jealous when it comes to the other men in the band and genuinely gives her space to explore her feelings for all of them. On a more serious note, it absolutely broke my heart learning that his grandfather beat him so badly as a child that he soiled himself and had to call the police while injured. NIX 😭💔.
[River and Lane]
MY LOVES 😭💖. They complement each other so perfectly, and Alara feels like the missing piece that fits naturally alongside them. Lane is definitely the more dominant personality and knows how to push River when he needs it, but he also knows when to stop and when River has had enough. He is always paying attention and constantly worried about him. Lane is the definition of someone who would drop everything for the people he loves.

He wanted purple hair to match hers 😭.OH I LOVE HIM. This man loves to tease, flirt, and say whatever comes into his head. He has absolutely no filter. He throws random nicknames around constantly and goes after what he wants without hesitation. What I really loved, though, was that before anything happened with Alara, he talked to River first because River is his boyfriend and will always be a priority 🥹. That made me love him even more. I loved this book, but I have SO many questions now. I need to know who would want to hurt Alara because if it is not Glenn, then I have absolutely no idea where this is going 😭. I was convinced Glenn was behind everything because he did not want her in the band and seemed threatened by her presence. I genuinely thought he orchestrated the attack. If that is not where this is headed, then I am completely lost.

3.75 ⭐️ whenever I’m in a reading slump romantic suspense is my go to! So that definitely made me excited to read this! A spicy why choose rockstar romance with a side of suspense sounded right up my alley!
Alara has big dreams of becoming a rockstar with her band, they finally get their shot at the big time. One night, one song, and one fight is all it takes to tilt her world upside down. So when the day comes for them to meet and sign with their new manager, Alara never shows. 2 years go by and Alara is struggling trying to regain years of memories she’s lost, meanwhile the band she thought she was making it to the big time with are a household name…only she doesn’t remember any of them. When she loses her job, she ends up getting a lucky break at an open mic night, not even remembering how she knows how to play the guitar. While now working at the bar with the open mic night she sees a mysterious man in the crowd watching her. Turns out he’s (Nix) the drummer for the band she was supposed to be making it big with..but he has no idea she’s the girl they refuse to discuss, because he came into the band after a devastating tragedy. After he sort of stalks her for a while he finally works up the courage to talk to her and one thing leads to the next. When the bands opening act quits Nix has the brilliant idea of introducing Alara to the band as a potential opening act. Only they have no idea she’s doesn’t remember them after thinking she ghosted them for 2 years.
I absolutely loved all of the characters in this book, we have our FMC Alara, Ender the broody lead singer who also had a little thing going on with Alara before she forgot all about him, Nix the golden retriever drummer and River and Lane who are a couple. So yes, this is MMFMM, second chance romance. The spice was spicing, and I absolutely loved the suspense element and was just waiting for the shoe to drop. All of the characters have trauma and a darker past that they’re all trying to heal from, I absolutely loved the bands group dynamic.
What I didn’t like was the plot progression was a little slow for me, Alara really just sort of jumped into situations without fully forming any thoughts, she’s lacking survival skills to say the least. The deeper issues and situations that came up were rushed and resolved a little quickly for my liking. The spice, while absolutely phenomenal, sort of took away from the plot. A lot of the book was just her thirsting for the entire band and dealing with conflicting emotions for all of them while worried about Nix’s feelings on the matter. I would have loved to see more of the suspense element, which we did get but it wasn’t until the very end of the book. I would have loved to have seen it sprinkled throughout the plot of the entire book since it didn’t feel like a romantic suspense, other than her amnesia, until the very end.

Not at all what I was expecting, I thought I knew how the story would play out and I really glad it didn’t. The story centres around a band and when one of the members gets amnesia things get really complicated. The band are great I love all of them for different reasons and I can’t really talk about it because spoilers. But I will say I think Lane is my favourite. They all have their own personalities and baggage and depth. It does help that they were all freaking hot, I mean the spicy scenes were spicy and I ate up every minute. Especially since the boyfriend are boyfriends.
The rest of the characters are kept at an arm’s length the author knows what she is doing, you never know how to trust or not. However I love her best friend Rayne and Gabby, I hope we get a bit more of them in the next book.
The amnesia story is always something that makes me apprehensive, because sometimes they are predictable or you know when things are going to come back. However this story exceeded my expectations there and didn’t pay out how I thought it would, I did think I knew what the cliff hanger would be but that was not the case. The whole story is engaging and I can’t wait to see how things unfold in the next book.
Overall the story was a mix of hilarious, tense, heart-breaking and with some really beautiful moments. It was easy to read and I could have happily read in one sitting. I think anyone who likes dark romance as well as should give this one a go. I am definitely going to check out some of her other books in the meantime.

It may appear I need to read more rockstar romance books as wow was this good!! Our book is a why choose which i absolutely love but it is quite messy in terms of Alara was in a band with River, Lane and Ender (Nix joins later) and we start on the night where everything changes and the band is about to get signed but on the day of the meeting Alara never shows.
Plot twist Alara had an "accident," which caused her to get retrograde amnesia and forget about everything, including the guys. Meanwhile, they make it big and are finally off on their break 2 years after the accident. Nix comes in here when he wants some time alone and wonders into the bar Alara works at (he doesn't know her at all and the person his bandmates have been cursing at since they started) obviously things end up happening between them and enter a relationship and which point the band's opener quits and Nix thinks Alara would be the perfect opener for them now.
You can guess things are not smooth sailing when the guys see her when she comes to prove herself, and it is pretty messy and tense in that scene. She ends up moving in, and the whole dynamic shifts. Although she has no memory of them, they do so keeping their cool was not the easiest. And then Nix turns around and says if she wants any of the other band mates, she can... It gets spicy at times, and it is utterly perfect.
Obviously, it can't be a K.M. Baker book without something going dreadfully wrong and leaving us on one hell of a cliffhanger. I need the next book now!! I loved this first book, and I can't wait to see where things lead in the next book!!

Although she has no memory of them, they do so keeping their cool was not the easiest. And then Nix turns around and says if she wants any of the other band mates, she can... It gets spicy at times, and it is utterly perfect.
Obviously, it can't be a K.M. Baker book without something going dreadfully wrong and leaving us on one hell of a cliffhanger. I need the next book now!! I loved this first book, and I can't wait to see where things lead in the next book!!

Ooooh, i loved this story! 🤌🏻 I always love to read the amnesia trope and i especially love when it’s well done 👏🏻 I haven’t dabbled in too many rockstar romances & I’m wondering now why that is?? Lol.
When Alara meets Nix at the bar where she works and sings during open mic nights, she finds out that he’s in a super famous band, and tbh she’s not all that impressed. Nix is determined to get Alara on stage and to have her recognized, but an idea comes to mind - he should have Alara open up for his band on their next tour. But when Nix introduces Alara to his band mates, tensions fly.. because what Nix doesn’t know is that Alara is the girl who broke all of their hearts 2 years ago when she mysteriously disappeared. But what’s even better is - the guys don’t know Alara was in a serious accident and has amnesia and doesn’t remember ANY of them.. How will the band navigate acting like they don’t know her and have been missing her for 2 years? Will it bring them closer than they ever were before? Or will it rip them apart from the inside? Um, I definitely wasn't expecting that....

He also has quite a troubled backstory that doesn't seem real until it's real. Lane is bratty and dominant but radiates happiness and sunshine. I really love him. Ender, he is the grumpy lead singer and I don't know how to feel about him yet. I think he needs to grovel hard but i think he wants to try but doesn't really know how to. These men are all so different but together they are unstoppable and really do work so well together.
The plot was insane in the best way possible. The way that everything came together with Alara and her guys. I have so many questions though because I am kind of thinking that the person behind her amnesia is closer than they all think.
That cliffhanger was crazy and I need the next book now please. I didn't expect it and i need answers.

This book completely exceeded my expectations.
I originally picked it up after seeing a video on Instagram that said it was inspired by the artists and music I already love. That immediately caught my attention, and I’m so glad it did because this ended up being one of those books that completely consumed me.
From the very beginning, I was hooked. I couldn’t put it down and found myself reading every chance I got; on breaks, before bed, and anytime I had a few spare minutes. It’s been a while since a book grabbed my attention that quickly and refused to let go.
The music-inspired atmosphere made this story feel so unique, and the characters were incredibly easy to become invested in. The emotional moments landed, the relationships kept me engaged, and every chapter left me wanting to know what would happen next. Before I knew it, I had flown through the entire book.
My only complaint is that it ended on a cliffhanger. By the final pages, I was completely invested, and now I’m left desperately waiting for the next book because I need to know what happens next.
If you enjoy stories inspired by alternative music and emotionally driven romances, I can’t recommend this one enough. It was an easy 5-star read for me, and I already can’t wait for the sequel.

The second thing you need to know is that this book is a why-choose rockstar-romance with heavy retrograde amnesia, and the boyfriends are boyfriends. OF COURSE I ATE IT TF UP!
From the opening chapters, I was hooked. Something shady was afoot, and my nosey a$$ wanted to know every minute detail immediately. I could not consume the words quickly enough.
I squealed at around 40% knowing what was coming, and I think KM picked the perfect person for whose POV it was, too, genius! Then, as I got to the end, KM really decided to slap it on thick and leave me more confused than ever. "To be continued"...yeah, when?! 🤣
The main characters are so unique, it was interesting to start to get to know them and what happened prior to them entering the spotlight. I know we're not supposed to pick favourites, but it's Lane - that guy is hilarious, and his pet names for the FMC, Alara, had me howling. Speaking of Alara, I cannot wait for her to shine in Book 2. She's awesome in this book with her witty comebacks and sharp tongue, but we only get a glimpse, really, and I just think she's got so much more to bring to the stage (see what I did there 👀🤣🤦🏼♀️).
I really enjoyed this one, if you can't tell already and will be counting down to Book 2...KM, if you could take into consideration the first thing I said when writing Book 2, I'd be forever grateful....

While this book trends toward dark romance, I would consider it on the lighter side of dark romance. Definitely still check the trigger warnings before reading.
I haven’t read many why choose romances, but the dynamics in this one kept me fully invested and constantly wanting more. And the spice? HOT and STEAMY. K.M. Baker knows exactly how to write tension and chemistry that leaves you begging for the next scene.
What really made this book stand out for me though was the storyline itself. The romantic suspense aspect kept me captivated the entire time, and I constantly needed to know what was going to happen next. The pacing kept me turning pages late into the night.
And that ending… the warning about the cliffhanger was not joking. WHAT A CLIFFHANGER. I already need book two because I am absolutely not okay after that ending.
Also, don’t skip the playlist that goes with this book. It fits the story perfectly and adds so much to the reading experience.

This was one of those books that hooked me straight from the first pages and didn’t let go.
I really liked Alara as the FMC. Her amnesia and her remembering little things here and there was interesting and brought some mystery into the story. I can’t wait to read if she’s able to get even more of her memories back and if we’ll learn what really happened to her.
I liked how her relationships between the MMCs developed gradually, first with one, then 2 more, etc. and I can’t wait to see how the relationships between the characters develop further in the next book. In my opinion the characters fit well together and I loved seeing the relationship between two of the MMCs, River and Lane too, not just between Alara and the MMCs. Also loved learning about a few of the MMCs’ pasts and I can’t wait to learn more about the rest.

This story completely pulled me in from the start. I loved the slow burn and the way the mystery surrounding Alara’s lost memories unfolded piece by piece. Watching her navigate a life she can’t fully remember while still trying to do what she believes is right made her such an easy character to root for. Her innocence, compassion, and constant desire to put others first gave the story a strong emotional core.
One of my favorite parts was Nix and the way his feelings for Alara shined through every interaction. Even when she couldn’t remember everything, he understood the connection she shared with the band and never pushed her beyond what she was ready for. Their growing relationship was filled with tension, longing, and so much heart.
The dynamic between Alara and the members of Nowhere Forever was captivating. As memories resurfaced and secrets began to unravel, the story balanced romance, suspense, and emotion beautifully. The combination of fame, hidden truths, and an unknown threat kept me turning pages, eager to uncover what really happened. This was an addictive read with compelling characters, emotional depth, and a romance that was absolutely worth the wait

Along the way, she just happens to end up entwined in a delicious predicament with not 1 but 4 rockstars, but not everything is as it seems.
Nix, Ender, River, and Lane all have their issues, some more than others, but each one is unique and adds their own twist on the situations they get themselves in. I enjoyed how each of the MMC's had their own way about them without being repetitive or generic.
The spice was tamed compared to some of the things I've read, but it was still enjoyable and tasteful. Also, the bits of comedy were a fun addition and worked so well, I'll never look at a saxophone the same way again!
I did want a bit more of a backstory on each of our mains, but I'm hoping that with the second book, it'll help fill in some gaps and explain things that were merely hinted at. What really made this book stand out for me was how seamlessly it blended romance and suspense. As Alaras memories resurfaced and secrets unravelled, the story kept me guessing while still delivering. The pacing was perfectly done, and I constantly needed to know what would happen next.
And that cliffhanger! I finished the book desperately wanting more. I’m so excited to see what book 2 has in store for us.

I loved this book the only downside is that it's only part 1 so I now have to wait god knows how long for part 2. i really hope that it's not too long.
I love the randomness of Nix meeting Alara. Her amnesia and the guys never mentioning her to him for me made the story that little bit more fun since as the reader we could see how some of it was going to play out before it happen.
I will say that I didn't like Glen from the beginning and I am totally convince that he has something to do with her getting hurt in the first place. I did jump between him and River's dad but I still think he set it up for some reason. I'm just not sure why.
Ender broke my heart a little between the lose of his brother and her going awol.
(kinda a spoiler so don't read if you don't want to know but when she's helping him do the dishes and sees his tulip tattoo and he can't tell her he knows that it's her favourite flower).
On the plus side normally when I read a book with this many characters / partners there is normally one that annoys me but I actually loved everyone of them.

So it’s start with Alara trying to find a job and just trying to find her old past she has amnesia so she doesn’t remember her past. A friend that she has made helps her find a job in a bar or club can’t remember lol. She works there and at night she sings she loves it and she remembers parts of her old life when she sings .
One night she meets nix he is a rockstar she doesn’t know until later on the story his band mates River Lane Ender meet her and they can’t believe who she is.
let me tell you this is my first book from this author and I loved it, the characters and plot was good.
I do have a complain I wanted more of Ender I wanted him to have more moments with alara. I feel like there was fewer moments with him. But it did ended in a cliffhanger so Im hoping 2nd book is more of them two But other then that I enjoyed the story. I still don’t have a favorite rockstar yet. Do you 🤭🤭🤣

Suspenseful Why choose Rocstar romance
Alara was in a band that got discovered the night thry are discovered she wakes up not remembering anything. For 2 years the guys thinks she just left after and argument with ender the other singer. They blew up and now rock band on tour. When one night nix their new drummer finds a woman who captivates him. Little does he know that is the band mates woman they don't speak of.
First time reading the author the premise was good and I liked reached characters they all had their secrets and scars to beat. Nix was a golden retriever and falls fast but after they find out who she is they don"t tell her and he let's them flirt with her . Mostly this first book is her and then nix and really Lane and river together. Ender is just a pissed off man. This ends in a Cliffhanger. I thought it was good all the nicknames for her kinda was like ok we get it. The smex was good I hope book 2 gets better.

I thought this was just a regular why choose rockstar romance, but boy was I wrong! This story has so many layers and depth, I was yearning for more. Alara was in a band that was really going somewhere and they were about to sign a deal but she got into an accident and got amnesia. The band mates thought she just ditched them. One day she meets Nyx (by coincidence) and they instantly clicked. She finds out he is in a well known and he wants her to open for them. When she meets the band they are not happy because they find out it's the girl that "ditched them". They never knew she got into an accident and got amnesia. But they act like she was never gone, besides Ender. He was just the broody one in the background, but he had reasons for that. I loved how the relationships between them all was starting to grow and they really cared for Alara. I'm very excited for the next book!
