The mystery element of this book wasn't the best, it was a slow burn and not particularly gripping in terms of intrigue. However, the small-town politics and local characters were captivating and really sold the book for me!

This is an enjoyable book, but as someone who remembers the '80s there are some big holes! In spite of that it's a fun read.
