Jheanell Westonberry did her thing with this collection of Valentine’s Day short stories set in her Roena County universe. If you’re into romance novels, then you’ll definitely find something here to love. The stories run the spectrum from laugh out loud funny, “The Pipe Dream” and “The Family”, to heartbreaking “The Matrimony”, to extra spicy “The Nerds”.

Those are the standout reads I can list off the top of my head, but to be honest all fourteen shorts are must reads. I highly recommend you read her previous books, Promise and Promise 2, as some characters from those novels show up here, but I wouldn’t say they’re a necessary read to enjoy Everyone Falls in Love. There’s just added depth if you do decide to pick them up.

I wouldn’t mind hearing from some of these characters again, but if this is all we get, I’m completely satisfied.

Jheanell does it again, as if I’m not still reeling from the greatness that is Promise 1 &2! This book was a series of short romance stories that follow Reona County residents on Valentine’s Day. There wasn’t a single character that I didn’t like. I laughed, cried, clutched my pearls and sucked my teeth so much while reading this and finished it wanted more from everyone. I can’t wait to read more about these characters. If you’re looking for a book that encompasses all types of black romance whether it’s sweet, complicated, comedic or spicy, I’d highly recommend this book!
