Be Still My Dead Heart : A Horror Novella

by Paul Seiple

Sometimes evil grows from beautiful things.

Sidney Campbell dislikes a lot of things. But she hates the county fair. Her boyfriend, Billy Easton, loves loud music, questionable rides, and anything fried. In the end, Sidney caves to the pressure of Billy’s pleas.

The things we do for love.

As rain threatens the fun, the couple seeks refuge aboard “The Love Escape.” Sidney and Billy learn the ride is far from a romantic spin. In the darkness, Mister Smiles demands a testament of devotion. To prove his love is genuine, Billy must pass three tests of the mind, body, and soul—ending with the ultimate sacrifice for true love.

The only thing more dangerous than opening your heart is meeting someone who sees the darkness inside you and isn't afraid.

About the author

Paul Seiple is a best-selling author of the Project Specter Mystery Series and the Great Dying Post-Apocalyptic Series. His roots are in the horror and thriller genres. Occasionally, he will take a wrong turn and end up in other genres like science fiction.

Outside of creating dark stories, Paul is influenced by Crystal Pepsi, New Coke, Van Halen III (The Gary Cherone Minute), and Windows Vista. He believes Paul Stanley’s ’78 solo record was the best and misses Saved by the Bell: The College Years tremendously. Paul would like for you to be in his Myspace Top 8, but sadly, he can’t remember his password. But all is not lost.
