Such a great read! To start this isn't my go to genre when it comes to books whatsoever. However that quickly changed as the story unfolded! I barely put this book down and when it ended I was left wanting more. Needless to say I have a new found love for historical fiction.

Congratulations Uncle Eric! We are so proud of you!

Mystery wrapped in history

This was a great read that holds your interest and you will not want to put it down until you know how it ends. Interesting twists and I wanted to yell “check the phone message”! During the book I stopped to look up and do some research of my own to see if some places and events were real. The characters were developed in a way that you had a real sense of who they were. I loved the mention of so many familiar places and locations, because of living in Raleigh and knowing several of the places mentioned nearby and throughout North Carolina. Enjoyed the book very much.
