Imprisonment of a couple in the Dwapar Yug and the creation of magnetism at Sun temple in Konark has a great deal of linkage to a missing boy in the 13th century carrying the mightiest power of the universe that transcends in time across generations leading to an alleged rape and murder accusation to the story's protagonist, an investment banker Shashank Chaudhary in 2008 who flies from New York to Odisha to find himself trapped in an 800 years old enigma.
A biological allegory that unfolds a historical and mythological mystery that counts back in time as far as the epic Mahabharata. One that surpasses time and the material world with its mathematical calculations within physical elements. Unexplainable evidences, puzzling data, conspiracy theories and unheard secrets intermingle with one another to create plots in the history of time that have been startling scientists and mythologists to date.
It's now in the court room that he must face his worst fears and probably the world's greatest held secret, a rare phenomenon of a chromosomal defect, from an unexpected guest.
There are three parallel storylines running in the book. The dominant one being that of the contemporary one where Shashank Choudhary is being charged and tried for rape and attempted murder of Roohani. Shashank maintains his innocence while all the evidences are stacked up against him. How does the three storylines converge? What effect can the building of the Dham for Lord Vishnu have on this present-day case? Why is the history of Konark Temple so important to the story?
The blurb of the book had me a bit confused and intrigued at the same time. It creates an impression of a great mystery while never giving away anything of the actual story. So, I picked up this book with an open mind and zero expectations. It was the best thing that I could have done. The author must have researched the history of Odisha and by extension, the history of Kalinga. His research reflects in the story in the way he has tied the history into the modern-day mystery. And there lies the USP of the book. Rich on information, the book makes for an interesting read even for those who are not history buffs. I cross referenced (with Wikipedia, ofcourse) some of the materials from the book and while the author has provided genuine information for most parts, there are places where he has taken some liberties to suit the story.
Wheels of Wish is the first book in the trilogy. It's a historical thriller with a hint of mythology and focuses on the mysteries surrounding a bloodline from the 1120 AD. The blurb gives out a lot an one can make out quite easily what the story line and plot is. The book quotes a lot of historical facts and places like The Sun Temple , Jagannath Dhaam and about Lord Vishnu.
I have read intensively about mythologies in past and have keen interest in historical facts but this book failed to strike a chord with me. The facts and research by the author shows the potential this book has but the sentence formations and language is a let down. There is no intensity in the words. Despite having some "wow" moments , the book fails to make an impact on the readers. The characters are too many and justice hasn't been done to them. The author hasn't described the characters well.
What I liked about the book is the focus on Odisha and the mythological facts. I expected it to a be a little more thrill.
The book has the power to be a bestseller , give it a try.
Wheels of Wishes by Bibhu Datta Rout is the first book in the Wish Trilogy and is a historical thriller. The book has a lot of HISTORICAL FACTS and MYTHICAL INFORMATION about Lord Vishnu, The Konark Sun Temple as well as the Jagannath Dhaam of Puri, and a STRONG STORYLINE.

“We know, we’ll all die one day. Death is the only truth that supersedes any factsheets. Very few get that divine blessings to break the palisade of mortality and believe me we are the chosen few.”
Wheels of Wish is a historical thriller by author Bibhu Datta Rout that centres around many mysteries that started from 1120 AD and still continues to haunt a certain bloodline till date. And while this is definitely not a new story in this genre, it still stands out for its great research done by the author. The way facts of the Puri and Konark temple are wonderfully intertwined and brought to the modern era is quite fascinating. I wondered how the writer will put them together into one suspense thriller, but Bibhu has managed to wonderfully place all the pearls in the string, without even one falling apart.
Another great thing about the book is that the story revolves around the state of Orissa. It is true that books of this genre aren’t new for India but the mention of Orissa in our thrillers is rarely seen. The mysteries of the magnetic properties of the Sun Temple and a little informative background of Lord Krishna enlightened me.
The author redefined the temple in such a fabulous way, that every inch of the book is alive in our veins, fresh, every fragment of our soul yearns to meet the almighty whose blessings manifests upon crafter in the form of temple, where humans seek shelter & protection from all sorts of negative vibes, negative thoughts encountered in the form of various defined & undefined means.
“Those who’re scared are the ones, who are unsure of the approaching future. The masked future bows down before me like a vision of promise – the promise that can scale beyond the farthest edges of this night.”
But even though I love mythological thrillers, this book failed to impress me. The book really lacks the thrill that one expects from a thriller. The book could have been much better, for it were presented well. There is no intensity in the words, and they don’t make you feel anything or make any impact on the reader.
The book could’ve been more engaging. I could not get enough in just 200 pages. The dialogues were short and abrupt, and the narration did not cover any emotions of the characters. The characters weren’t given justice and the poor character development was a disappointment.
"You see what you deserve. It is the gift of your imagination."
First, in the Wish Trilogy, Wheels of wish is a fast-paced thriller. I read the paperback reprint edition. Through 'Preface' and 'Making of Wheels of Wish', I understood his thought process. It also made me feel connected to story and author. I guess the author has succeeded in setting the tone of the story for readers.
In my opinion, this thriller novel involves more emotions and drama than a Bollywood movie. It is possible that a reader could guess a thing or two if he/ she has seen a lot of old Bollywood movies like I have. However, the story is narrated in a manner that one would want to finish this book in just one or two sittings.
The reasons why I have given this book 3 stars are the involvement of Historical facts with the right balance of literary support and the trivial amount of philosophical thoughts. I am sure that a reader would take few things from this book. Moreover, I am glad that the ending was pretty real and that would mean another interesting book in wish trilogy.
While reading the backcover of this book, the only thing that came up my mind was the popular legend of Vishu Maharana and his son Dharmapada. I have read their story a couple of times, in different fiction/non-fiction books across my regional works : Bengali, but haven't seen this archetype used in any English fiction so far. So, that was one of the reason, why I thought this story may make sense to me, as I may already know atleast some background of it.
The main problem with this book I thing is its number of pages. They are too small to encompass a story this big, that the author have started penning down. The author have used bits and parts and have timelapsed his episodes, to give us a fast paced plot, but in doing so, the characters have been overlooked, except that of the leading pair : Shashank and Roohani. All the rest of the characters are straight out sidelined and have very little timespace. Things may have been better if they were given more time to space out. The narration also feels haywire, and near the end, when you jot up everything, you wish, if only a bit of more writing have gone down to add layer to this interesting tale that the author have set out to tale us.
For me, it was just an okay book. But could have been much much better! Looking forward to the author's next work. I hope he find enough words to fill his next tale, as sure his concept of stories are much better than his narration!
The book title and the cover page caught my first attention and when I read the story synopsis I was quite impressed. Generally, I am fond of historical/mythological fictions and have read a lot of such books. Somehow, I don't get fed up with this genre. The synopsis mentioned that the story revolves around the Dwapar yuga, Sun Temple, Jagannath Temple, etc., which instigated the 'impulsive purchasing' streak within me :) But later, when I started reading the book, I was a bit disappointed and regretted my decision of buying the book :(
What did I not like in the book?
- There are a lot of grammatical / punctuation mistakes in the book. - The plot has three stories running parallel in three time phase. The transition between the stories is very rough. - There are a lot of places where you would feel the author has done injustice by not elaborating the character/episodes. May be there should have be another 50 odd pages to the book.
Wheels of wish Archaic representation of the sun temple in itself is a difficult task to achieve, the hard work can be felt at the very beginning of the book ascertained by the cover, which is designed beautifully describing each & every aspect of the book. The title is justified with the story in hand. Well chosen, I’m waiting for the further sequels as what those titles may be. Theme of the book goes on as follows, a crime that has been planned 800 years ago, so many flashbacks, fallacies, mysteries, surprising elements which helps us connect the dots in a hysterical manner. Typically, any story would fall short when it comes to reveal the suspense in a crime thriller genre, however, here 3 stories running parallelly with each other, written & interwoven with utmost precision keeping in mind the audience, the level of engagement necessary to compile the readers to finish the book in one go. The reader often finds himself confused, lost in the labyrinths of science, mythology, fiction, history, facts, reality & so on... Yet, the climax, plot & the pace of the story is what excites me to read it again & again. The wisdom, truth, knowledge imparted, depths of information, surplus imaginations, reality, life, death, facts, heaven, hell; all can be extrapolated by deciphering each & every segment of the book. As for the story, I won’t reveal much as it would act as a spoiler & my attempt to justify the book would fail. The book has been described in such a way that would make the readers feel that the creator of the sun temple himself is witnessing the construction in action & penned his thoughts synthetically, the results are evident in the form of a simple book which can be read to understand. The manifestation of thoughts into reality is what every writer seeks, the author has justified his actions by writing the book in such a meticulous fashion, which has made the story a significant masterpiece. The language versatile, kept simple, stroked & etched in such a manner which is so vast, the depth of which could be felt at every page throughout the book which sated my thirst for language, grammar & vocabulary. Adding further, there are things which go way beyond our feeble minds. There are beings whose existence is certain & known to mankind, yet its comprehension is out of question for simple humans. After reading this, one would definitely question his faith on god, his belief of the existence of mystical & celestial beings. Gods, spirits, mystical beings do exist. It’s the preemptive state of our minds, the way we’ve designed & restricted ourselves to only the rigid thoughts, without pondering further, though deep down inside we know the infinitesimal existence of supreme beings. However, the validatory aspect & the question that our minds repose onto us in the form of questionnaire is what often leads to the birth of legends or rather the evil minds destined to forge conspiracies. The wisdom, truth, knowledge, depth of information, surplus imaginations, reality, life, death, facts, heaven, hell; all can be extrapolated by deciphering each & every segment of the book. Moreover, you define what you are, the revering faith & unshaken belief on one’s choice, karma, upholding conviction is what makes us believe in the existence of gods. The logical, statistical, mathematical, iteration, rendering approach took the book to a completely new level beyond the process of simple minds who just wait to turn the pages around to unravel the depths of suspense & unlock the mystery that lies ahead, awakening the potential that lies deep within us. This approach has made it possible for me finish it promptly. The book compelled me to write such an extensive feedback, the more I praise about it, the more I fell short on words, words ceases to exist to describe the affection & appreciation I’ve towards this book. This isn’t some average mythological, historical or fictional novel which we come across on various books pertaining to it. It’s a rhythmic composition & compilation of facts done precisely to make the people aware of the existence of supreme powers & the deep potential that lie deep within us, we must unlock it & make use of it in every possible way. Also, the establishment of the fact that makes one wonder about things, how miniscule we may seem in comparison to the marvelous creation of almighty in the form of universe & nature that surrounds us. A must read for all, life-changing, worth a lifetime experience. Thank you.

A great story, and a nice read. Mixes several ingredients like history, science, mathematics, crime, and few more. It is a historical fiction, with liberal doses of mythology, modern crime, court drama, and much more.
The story spans 800 years, narrated as 3 story-lines, all in the present tense that makes it somewhat interesting and engaging. Shashank, a successful investment banker in NY, is accused of rape and murder in modern-day Odisha. Some 800 years ago, plans were made to build the Sun Temple.
The PLUS points... It is to the credit of the author that he manages to link these two, and several more disparate plots together. I liked the story-line and even the leaps of imagination, trying to tie mythology with science. I think that the Author had a great story and tried to narrate as passionately as he could. The Preface shows the earnestness and the commitment of the author. The Afterword, too, reveals his passion and belief in being positive, harnessing positive energies, being in action, etc.
The MINUS points... But what distracted me most were the poorly constructed sentences with several typos (eery for eerie, dias for dais...), incorrect grammar (subject-verb consistency, incorrect prepositions,...), and incongruities in the dialogues. The author writes with enormous passion and fewer errors when he describes the Sun Temple, the architecture, etc. Awkwardness shows when the author tries to describe events involving romance and intimacy. The court scenes, while interesting, leaves me with the feeling that courts in India do not follow procedures. A sentence mentions the word "jury" while the jury system has been discontinued since 1970's. The court proceeding begins with the prosecutor making an opening statement, followed by the defense lawyer demanding to question his own client. At the very beginning?! There is no order while examining witnesses. Defense lawyer or the prosecutor can interrupt one another while the judge states the occasional "Objection Overruled" or "Objection Sustained". With no foundation laid, one witness launches into a long-winded story of Kamsa and Krishna. The normally cocky prosecutor, who has no patience while listening to the examination of witnesses by the defense, does not make a single objection!
What could have made this better? A competent editor with an eye for details to support the author. The book reads partly as a nice fiction, and partly as a wannabe screenplay. If the "screenplay" portions were rewritten as a story, we would have a truly excellent product. Clearly the parts describing the historical and scientific aspects are far more engaging than the parts describing romance and intimacy. Writing to one's strengths could have made the book a lot better.
I liked the book and the story in parts. I am also disappointed, but I still award 4 stars. This is the first book of a trilogy, and I will definitely buy the other two and read them. Although I have been to the Sun Temple a long time ago, I must visit it once again owing to the lovely things I read about the temple in the book.
The preface also describes the initiatives of the author to help budding writers. This is really awesome. I will definitely ask my friends to read this book, with its great parts and the flaws.
2.5 instead of 3. It's confusing to write a review of a book that's fictional, informational, philosophical and utter nonsense towards the end.
Let me start with the part that I felt was utter nonsense. The judge gives a verdict on a case based on 'information' or rather a 'rhetoric' he hears from an old lady? The evidence, a picture, seems to be sufficient enough for the Judge to conclude. What the hell are we speaking about? If Judges across India gave verdict when they hear stories of 800 yr old history, I wonder what will happen to our judicial system.
My message is not to take away anything from the author who builds a compelling case and decent argument but to ponder on how a verdict is delivered based on hearsay than anything substantial. While the sanctity and integrity of the Judicial system is under scrutiny more now than before, we can be rest assured that verdicts are based on 'concrete' evidence and not hearsay.
Let me get to other aspects of the book.
Konark (Sun Temple): There is no question about the Author's research capacity and how much he found out about the construction, structure and importance of the Sun Temple. It's impressive. What's not so impressive is the purpose of the discussion. Yes, it's knowledge and I learned quite a lot about Sun Temple from this book than from the time I have visited there once. However, how does the story connect? Well, there is one paragraph at the end that explains the Konark story line. One para? Well, that's it.
Since people found the information on Konark impressive and it is, they confused that impression with great fiction writing. It's not. The story had to connect and it doesn't. In another words, the amount of time spent on Konark doesn't justify the 'connection' explained in the end.
Story Line: There is constant jump in story line, change of characters and point of view and it's at times confusing. Since one character have two names, I had to go back and forth to understand about whom I was reading at that moment. If I'm sounding that it's too tough, it's not. It's just little complicated.
Characters: We get a clear picture of whom we are reading about. The rich investment banker, his lawyer, his opponent lawyer and others. The build up about the characters is good. What's confusing is the explanation how the characters are connected.
If the review sounds hard for a popular book, it's not meant that way. The ending really made me laugh my way around and it clouded my judgement of the overall crime story. I do recommend you pick this one and get some interesting insights on mythology and history.
Wheels of Wish by Bibhu Datta Rout is one of the finest product of thriller that I give rise to study till date. It won't be an injustice if I speak it is extremely gain to be described in words.
The obscure of the put your name down for is intelligent and catchy. The olden memorial and sweep in the setting tell that history is someplace an exceptionally weighty division of the plot. Moreover, the title is extraordinarily unique. The family ' A crime deliberate 800 days past ' makes the booklover probing and probing to peruse the reserve straight away. Furthermore, the expectancy finished throughout the blurb makes it a virtuous one. The plot of the story is specifically grand. The link of forgotten with the grant is beautifully and faultlessly done. The tad of history gives the plot an extra flavor. The greatest cut up was the category of altered time periods without any confusion. The language throughout is extraordinarily reasoned and the telling is additionally self-same engaging. The atmosphere of Shashank is portrayed with consequently a large amount conviction that I vanished for my part in the manuscript little rendition about him.
Overall it is a perfect incorporation of suspense, thrill, history, mythology, conspiracy, secrets and mystery. Look after harvest this charge and promise this won't disappoint you.
Firstly, The cover of the book is interesting. It surely reveals, there’s alot of mystery hidden inside. The title of the book is also attractive. The book focuses on Odisha and the mythological facts. The blurb of the story is super interesting and tells you more about the story. The book is fast Paced thriller story.I loved the way it started. It’s an easy read and one can connect to the story easily. The concept of the book is interesting and out of the box. The way the author has described the story is something I loved the most. The narration of the story is crisp and smooth. The tempo of the story is also good. It has some historical facts, thriller, mystery in it. I loved the way the story ended. The flow of the book is also good. I finished this book in one go. There are too many characters in the story which was very confusing. The language used by the author is simple. Each chapter contributes a lot to the story and completes the puzzle. It's a mythological thriller. Though I expected a little more of the thriller in the story. I love reading mythology books and this book covers a lot of history and mythology.
Simple language, interesting read, facts and fiction make it an interesting read. This book is one of the best read.
Wheels of Wish is the 1st book in Wish trilogy. It is a historical thriller about a crime planned 800 years ago which has its connection to the present time. The language used is simple and that is the reason it is a page turner. It shares a lot of information about Lord Vishnu, The Sun Temple and The Jagannath temple.
The architecture phase was a bit too much for me. I enjoyed reading the court session part i hope he could have elaborated it a bit. I felt the part that interested me was wrapped up a lot sooner than i expected it to. The arguments that took place in the court session was the only part which i was interested in. I was waiting for that Thrilling experience but i was not able to get that feel. I would have enjoyed more if the architecture was explained is not so detailed manner and the Court session was explained a bit more.
Sometimes i mismatched the characters because there were so many of them. The book kept the pace overall. The book cover is interesting. Overall it was a good read
Firstly, Wheels of Wish, very unique and interesting title made me think about the book story from that I couldn’t figure out the genre but it looks wonderful story it will be. Then I encounter sub title below “A crime planned 800 years ago” which made me very curious to read this mysterious story. Then I read the blurb which suggest something crispy thrilling suspense. As I am diehard fan of suspense thriller genre, this title and blurb compel me to read this book. Book cover gives vibrant effect. And story plot is amazing. Author penned down the intriguing story beautifully with finest dictions with precise details of every situation and scenario and of course with well crafted characters that you can actually feel the trill throughout the story. Narration is wonderful with well maintained pace which makes it more gripping and thrilling of course. Story is perfect blend of suspense, thriller, mythology and history which makes it fascinating. Loved reading it.
This Crime Fiction novel by author Bibhu Datta Rout is both intriguing and refreshing. The story revolves around an incident that occurs in 2008, with the accused being Shashank, also happens to be in a romantic relationship with Roohani, the victim of the crime.
This leads to an interesting chain of investigations, a lot of courtroom drama and conspiracies of unheard, unimaginable circumstances and links to past as old as 13th century.
The story goes back to 1200 AD when the chain of mysteries has its roots linking historical and mythological figures which is an Essential dimension in the whole story
It’s a very short, descriptive and to the point novel, of about 200 pages. The good thing is that the author doesn’t seem intent on beating around the bush. But only at some places it feels a little rushed. The work of mythological facts and fiction is beautifully blended.
That being said, the language, narrative and editing could have been much better. Also the Direct translation of certain Hindu words into English is a bit of a let down. I would want more had it not been for some loose ends the book had left.
Other than that it’s a good book. Short and fast paced. I’ll surely recommend you to read this book especially if you are a mythological fiction fan.
Ahhhh!!! What a story!! I was so fascinated with all the facts about the Jagannath Temple and the Sun Temple. It felt like wowww these temples have quite an interesting story behind them. The authors way of entangling the 800 years old facts with his fictional story and making it an enthralling and out of the box mystery thriller was EPIC. This book was soooooo engrossing. I was like no, I can't stop reading now, it's getting more interesting, what's going to happen next? The way the last few chapters just brought out the mystery from all the old connections to the present time was mind blowing. Definitely a refreshing read. 👍
Wheels of wish by Bibhu Datta Rout is one of the finest work of thriller that I have read till date. It won't be wrong if I say it is too good to be described in words.
The cover of the book is bright and catchy. The ancient monument and wheel in the backdrop tells that history is somewhere a very important part of the plot . Also the title is very unique. The line ' A crime planned 800 years ago ' makes the reader inquisitive and curious to read the book immediately . Also the suspense made throughout the blurb makes it a good one .
The plot of the story is just awesome . The connection of past with the present is beautifully and flawlessly done. The touch of history gives the plot an additional flavour. The best part was the description of different time periods without any confusion. The language throughout is very lucid and the narration is also very engaging. The character of Shashank is portrayed with so much conviction that I lost myself in the book while reading about him.
Overall it is a perfect amalgamation of suspense, thrill, history, mythology, conspiracy, secrets and mystery. Do pick this book and assure this won't disappoint you.
This book is very short and to the point. Author has tried to squeeze the story that he wanted to convey in 155 pages. This story is about shashank a investment banker, Roohani a Ngo director, sun konark temple and jagganath puri temple. The climax is so fast you will finish before you know it's a climax

Bibhu Datta Rout has written this very interesting book for readers who are passionate about reading scientific reasons behind our faith in the religion. It is a must read book and the author has written it in a wonderful style. It is one of the best books I have read so far.
Spanning over just 165 pages, this has been a good one time read. I wish the author all the best for his future endeavours! Full review on oftwilights.wordpress.com!
Imprisonment of a couple in the Dwapar Yug and the creation of magnetism at Sun temple in Konark has a great deal of linkage to a missing boy in the 13th century carrying the mightiest power of the universe that transcends in time across generations leading to an alleged rape and murder accusation to the story’s protagonist, an investment banker Shashank Chaudhary in 2008 who flies from New York to Odisha to find himself trapped in an 800 years old enigma. Review:
I would first and foremost like to thank Brandedgupshup.com for sending me this book in exchange of an honest and unbiased review.
I would like to start my review with explaining how absolutely fascinating I believe the whole idea of the book is. The story in divided into four parts in three different periods starting with March 18, 2008 when a woman reaches out Sidharth, a dropout engineer and qualified lawyer with the case a renowned NRI investment banker Shashank Choudhury, who has been arrested for Rape and double Murder.
Then the next chapter shifts to another period line of the story – 1120 AD. Here we are introduced to the Kalinga king Indradyumna and the history behind the construction of the Fourth dham of Lord Vishnu in Puri. The story of him meeting Lord Vishnu in his dream which lead to the search of the blue mountain.
Then we see another shift in the story as we travel to another timeframe – 1976 where we meet a classroom full of children engrossed in listening to their replacement teacher, Pariniti Mam, narrating the story of The Sun Temple. A little of mother-daughter love is seen with Pariniti pampering her little “genius” as she calls her child, Roohani.
Through Pariniti’s story we are taken back to 1250 AD, the history of talent and sacrifice of 1200 men for 12 years in building the magnificent Sun temple under the rule of King Narasingha Dev.
These completely different stories involving numerous people along a timeline of 800 years comes together through Shashank’s court case. The story unravels how the accused is Siddharth’s college friend and the rape victim, Roohani’s (yes!!the daughter of Pariniti) childhood sweetheart. She demands that the two of them were forcefully drugged and Shashank is not guilty of any charge. No one seems to believe her. How then will the innocent be freed from the jail? Why is Siddharth so willing to defeat his opposition lawyer? Just for his friend’s justice or do they share a long dark history?
Now as I have described before, the whole concept of the book is pretty interesting and informative. However, what I didn’t like was the author’s choice of words in writing. Not only the words but the writing pattern itself seems to be missing the punch of a strong thriller. Even though the writing was tolerable at first with the beginning of the 1250 AD episode it made me cringe. It cannot be classified even as erotism. It was plainly disturbing to read and nasty. After reading the storyline I had high hopes for the book but after reading a few pages disappointed arrived quite fast. Also the ending of the book was a bit disapproving with the finale of the court case appearing to be utterly stupid. The author has made a futile effort to bring together a huge amount of excessive and unreasonable information into one case and that did not fit well. What I had believe to be well researched and informative at first turned out to be just fruitless mumbling and disturbing storytelling. I gave 3/5 just for the effort the writer has put on the book and his inexpressible but vast imagination. The storyline had the potential to become an iconic part of literature but the elements within and everything else was not worthy enough to be properly called a “good book”.
I look forward to betterment in the next book of the series.

considering it as a first attempt its good for a first attempt but can be better.
The writing style is good but toomuch conversation a novel cannot be a screen play know..
Secondly there is a different between what the writer is seeing and what he is writing i.e. writer wrote it as a movie of sorts instead of telling a story. It has to be story probably from a story teller point of view i.e. with some tweaking it can be improved.
The screen play gets mixed up and suddenly i realize that i was reading something else and now i am reading a different scene and how it got mixed up god only knows...
The book 'Wheels of Wish' has a plot which spans across centuries. It is a blend of mythology and mystery, with a unique storyline. At the beginning it was interesting and informative, but with time things started losing meaning. I was a little disappointed with how the story unfolded. The words were lucid but a little too simple in places. The few grammatical errors made it worse. The author had a lot of things in his mind (or so it seemed) but he could not pen them down properly. This could have been an amazing book, had the plot been planned a little more carefully and the three major storylines merged with perfection. A lot of things seemed silly and abrupt, especially during the courtroom scenes. All the dots had to be connected during the climax, but they didn't fit too well; I had really high hopes after reading the blurb, so I was definitely disappointed. It's a quick and short read, with a unique concept but it lacked the essence of a thriller.
I picked up this book with great expectation based on wonderful reviews given to this book.. this turned out to be a huge disappointment!!! all right ingredients in place, mystery, mythology, parallel story lines but such a poor execution of whole thing- grammatical errors, no linkages or if there were any, so poorly made that I just lost interest in them, never felt anything for the characters and end which should have been a great climax I read through hurriedly just wanted to finish the book!! More amazed with the glowing reviews this book has got... I wanted to ask everyone who had written them - what did I miss out? Did we even read the same book???
