Greg's a jerk, everyone knows this. He's made an artform out of pissing people off and swearing with style. What nobody knows is why. The act works on everyone except Marie, a confident, no-nonsense woman. Or in other words, the only woman who can handle Greg. Together they're passionate and honest in a way he never thought was possible. They have a rare kind of chemistry that makes everything else seem pointless.
Well, except the past. Greg hasn't been able to let that go, and unless he figures out a way to forgive himself, he'll lose Marie and his shot at the all-consuming, life-altering happiness he didn't think he was allowed to have.
Alexis Anne writes page-turning romances that will leave you breathless and wanting for another happily ever after. Her new book KING OF WANDS is available now!
Fast. Volatile. Gorgeous. Those are the words they used to describe Kingston Reynolds on the first day of my internship. Well, it wasn’t so much of a description as it was a warning. Do not fraternize with the drivers if you want to keep your job.
“My very first Alexis Anne book and now I'm wondering what I've been waiting for. It was a real page turner!! Gripping, edgy and very exciting.” --Tish Cocktails and Fairytales
We’re taking a departure from Jake and Eve in book three. When Lightning Strikes is Greg’s story. He is that wonderful character you’ve always wanted to get the deets on. He is Jake’s best friend and Eve’s partner in crime. He’s the no holds barred, take no prisoners, foulmouthed, tell it like it is guy. He’s also adorable.
As intriguing as Jake and Eve’s story is, I honestly think I enjoyed Greg and Marie’s story more. There was more time spent on their relationship, thoughts, and actions than on the steamy side of their relationship. Did they have instant chemistry? Yep. Did they jump to the physical part of their relationship immediately? You betcha, they each were only looking for a one-night stand. Did they get way more than they bargained for? Oh, you bet they did! Their story is sweet, raw, and emotional. There is a lot going on in this one. It’s fast-paced and entertaining. As you’re reading this series don’t you dare pass this one up!
I have badly wanted to see what Greg’s Happy Ever After would look like from the moment we met him. I was also a little bit rabid to know what it was that had hurt him in the past and caused him to close up like a clam. I’m not sure Marie and Natalie were what I was envisioning for him, though. However, I adored watching this little family come together. And I loved even more seeing that their stumble didn’t take nearly as long to resolve as Jake and Eve’s. This is my favorite book in the series so far.
Sometimes you have to say goodbye to the past but encourage it too
Greg meets girl then runs the other way he’s confused and stupid and everything else Marie wasn’t looking for a guy she had Natalie her daughter, Marie is the woman Greg is running from but they love each other so how can the unfixable be fixed well you need to read this story I recommend this book
Loved it! Greg, Jake's best friend and business partner, he's rough around the edges. Marie, single mom and somewhat lonely. His approach, his words, and she's in his bed! Their love story is great! Must read!
La compre por error y me gusto mucho mas la como la autora cuenta la historia de Greg y Marié que la de Jake y Eve. Tiene más contenido en cómo se desarrolla su romance.
Realistic romance, elements of sadness, happiness, sexiness & jealousy. No cliffhangers at end, good length book (as it should be), no waiting for the next series to be published, although would have been happy to keep reading about where to next for Greg & Marie.
I love that Greg became the main character in this book. I loved him throughout the other books but finally got to understand him better in this one. He is the brother or lover everyone wishes they had. You will not be disappointed in reading this book
