Really good to have a book that has a main character a similar age to me. I find a lot of authors keep their characters in their 20s even when they are in their 40s. Unusual subject matter but still really enjoyed it. Thank you BookFunnel for this ARC. Can’t wait to read more.
Thank you Boldwood Books and NetGalley for this ARC, coming February 27th.
This was such a lovely read. It starts off a little slow, but once the story finds its rhythm I genuinely didn’t want to put it down.
Laila is a single mum who signs up to Love Hotel hoping to find love - only to discover that her match is Gabriel, her best friend’s son. Laila tries hard to resist the connection, but Gabriel is persistent, and their chemistry is hard to ignore.
This book delivers all the vibes: secrets, slow burn tension, and a nice amount of spice. I really appreciated how real the story felt, especially Laila’s body image struggles and Gabriel’s need to keep his business life private.
The ending felt slightly rushed for me -particularly the resolution involving Gabriel’s mother — but it didn’t take away from the overall experience.
Overall, this was a sweet, spicy read with a satisfying HEA, and an easy 5 stars from me.
Regret This Later was not a fluffy romance story but both characters had small layers to build the climax of the story. It was a forbidden romance but relatable especially the single mom trope that I could relate too.
I enjoyed the protagonist character, Laila as she learned lessons about self-love and self-worth throughoout the story.
Overall, once Laila gain confidence about her own path then Gabriel was the added addition to who she became throughout the story.
Enjoy the development of Gabriel & Laila love story. Olivia Spring is another new author I can add to my roster of romance writers I enjoy.
