In questo numero seguiamo principalmente due amiche di Shiina: Hiro e Akira.
Hiro è la biondina che si era intravista brevemente in passato, quella che si iscriverà alla Banda.
Scopriamo la sua vita, l'ambiente rigido familiare in cui è cresciuta, le aspettative, l'assenza di amici, il bullismo da parte delle altre ragazze.
Il bullismo tremendo.
Fino al punto di rottura. Ma in un mondo che sta scoprendo i Draghi, cosa può succedere quanto una vittima decide di dire basta?
Il caos, la morte, la distruzione.
E Akira, anche lei bullizzata dalle compagne di classe, difesa da pochi ragazzi presi in giro per questo.
Akira che cerca con tutte le sue forze un modo per sentirsi viva.
Due ragazze con in comune l'essere vittime di bullismo, l'essere fuori posto in questo mondo che se la prende coi più deboli, l'avere come unica amica Shiina.
Shiina che, ci viene ricordato, è sempre sorridente, sempre propositiva, amica di tutti. Energica, solare. Il personaggio positivo per antonomasia.

A dark take on the Pokémon and Digimon genre. This saga gets real dark as the story unfolds. Don’t be caught off guard by the subversion of the pocket monster genre. What starts as an action girl series winds up in a weird place reminiscent of Evangelion. Only half the story made it into the English translation. I’m uncertain if it was the strong material, lack of sales or the loss of licensing that brought about its premature end.

I think it's getting really good now. I'm getting a better feel about what it means to be or become a dragon. They're not all creepy as hell, at least, but the deep sense of betrayal and loss of self and pain is all kinds of disturbing.
Almost as if it's an allegory for puberty. But worse.
