Kathleen McKinley loves castles, and the older, the better. She travels to Scotland, where she’s drawn to the ancient ruins of Rosestone castle and its mysterious legends. But when she arrives, things begin to happen. She discovers not only is she a powerful witch, but so are all the people on her tour. As if that’s not enough, they tell her she was once married to the sexy laird who lived there in the seventeenth century. While exploring Rosestone’s ruins, she’s suddenly whisked back to 1603 by an ancient time stone from the Fae, and there, her adventure begins. Will their sizzling love affair rekindle after five hundred years? Or will Katie fall prey to Duncan’s jealous lover, who’s out to kill her and keep the castle for her own? Travel back in time to seventeenth-century Scotland, where this amazing story begins. You’ll find yourself lost in a breathtaking world of ancient magic, shape-shifters, witches, and of course, sexy angelic warriors. This is the prequel to the Ancient Echoes Series and is not one to be missed!
I love writing paranormal time travel filled with fantasy and romance, especially if the story has anything to do with Scotland. My first series, Ancient Echoes, is about a group of angel warriors who have come to this world to fight dark magic. Each book is a different adventure, and centers around the magical and mysterious castle where they live. I can be reached at: barbaramonahan350@ yahoo.com. I'm always looking forward to your ideas, comments and suggestions!
I don't know what it was about this book but it didn't gel with me at all. The heroine seemed very immature and nothing excited me about the way the book was written. Sorry but I won't be going further with this series.
I liked the characters created and their story line, it kept me wanting to continue to read because I wanted to know what came next. The end of the book seemed rushed, lacking detail, but worst of all, nothing to make me want to rush & read the next book in the series.
I really enjoyed the idea behind the story. I found this book to lack follow through in some plot lines, while spending way too much time on others only to have them lead no where. I'm not sure if that's because it's a prequel and that I haven't read the other books in this series. Maybe if I had read the others this story would have made more sense. Made for a slightly frustrating read.
I cant praise this book enough. I read it in one day. The beginning..... Wow, I would recommend this series to anyone. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I have to go and read the other books again now. Thanks Barbara
3 1/2 stars - a bit harder to read because of the organisation of it - this was written after the next 3 but is a prequel so I still looking forward to the next three...
