I don’t believe in mercy.

I believe in winning before the other side realizes the game has started.

So when my father decides my future needs to be sealed with a marriage to secure the Westwood empire’s next century, I don’t hesitate.

I accept the deal.

She’s kryptonite. Brilliant. Untouchable on the surface.

The kind of woman who walks into a room like she’s never needed anyone—and never will.

Until I see what’s happening behind closed doors.

Her family’s legacy is bleeding out, and she’s holding everything together with sheer will and no safety net.

Marrying her gives both of us what we need.

But the moment she becomes my wife, the arrangement stops being just business.

I don’t like the way the world corners her.

I don’t like the way vultures circle what she built.

And I definitely don’t like the way I start planning my days around her.

I was raised to be ruthless and trained to put legacy above emotion.

Yet here I am, dismantling threats, burning bridges, and rewriting rules for one woman who never asked to be saved…

Even if the world now insists on calling me her white knight husband.

It’s Just Business

Alex Westwood, the heir apparent to the Westwood business empire stole a cab from a beautiful blonde who proceeded to jump out of the cab and verbally take the head off another cabbie as they were caught in traffic. ‘Wow,’ he thought, ‘she a real killer’.

Jane Thayer was also the ‘heir apparent’ to a business empire and had schooled herself for many years to take on the role, but her father had scandalized the business world with an affair and fraud. Jane was left to pick up the pieces, but the board wouldn’t give her the CEO chair. The board was hoping to bleed the company dry and sell.

Alex’s father knew that Thayer Industries was still valuable, but was under the wrong leadership, setting Alex up for an arranged marriage with Jane.

Jane had been taking care of her family since her father went to prison and wasn’t prepared for anyone to ever make her life easier or do something just for her. Alex fell fast and was prepared to do anything to save Thayer for his wife to run.

I know this doesn’t sound very exciting, how could business be exciting? Yet somehow this book was so well written as to make each facet of the business world more interesting, especially the part about hostile takeovers.

This book was strangely romantic, yet so much like every day life with family issues, large and small as well as the building of a new family. I gave this a five star rating because it was engrossing. It had mild spice, but not so much that it overshadowed the story, and it felt real. I hope you like it too.

Sounded interesting. However this was my third try for this author. Eye rolls, boring, doesn’t make sense…..

In White Knight Husband, Allie Parker delivers a powerful marriage-of-convenience romance filled with ambition, tension, and unexpected vulnerability. From the very first page, readers are drawn into a world of legacy and strategy, where love is never supposed to enter the equation. Alex Westwood has been raised to think three moves ahead, always prioritizing power and empire over emotion. So when his father arranges a marriage to secure the future of the Westwood dynasty, Alex doesn’t hesitate until he realizes the woman he’s marrying is the same fierce, unforgettable woman he once met on a freezing Chicago day after he boldly stole her cab.

Jane is one of the strongest female characters I’ve read in a long time. She is brilliant, independent, and completely devoted to protecting her family’s struggling legacy. She doesn’t need saving, and she certainly doesn’t ask for it. That’s what makes her dynamic with Alex so compelling. Their reunion feels like fate, but not in a predictable way. What begins as a calculated business arrangement slowly transforms as Alex sees the weight Jane carries alone. Watching Jane gradually allow Alex to step in not because she’s weak, but because she chooses to trust him makes their love story feel earned and authentic.

I thought this book was really good. It is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. It is interconnected with the other books in the series but the story is a complete standalone. I loved the characters of Alex and Jane; I thought they paired really well. I thought the plot was well developed and I loved that Alex is everything Jane needed but never knew she wanted. This is a “he falls first” trope; Alex was head over heels without realizing it from the first time they met.

eh…

Okay, I have mixed feelings. Considering I did not review any of the others books should speak for itself. I’m just confused. The MFC was suppose to be this relentless kickass business women but let her family guilt her which caused her mental health to crumble…how? And where did this other brother come from. She had four brothers then at the end another brother just suddenly appears. Seems like someone didn’t do a writing outline. For someone with a PHd she appeared to avoid confrontation in her personal life which makes no sense since she had no problem doing it everywhere else.

This is part of the Billionaire Inheritance Arrangement Group Series and it was Awesome!!!! This time it's all about Alex Westwood. Alex meets Jane Thayer when he grabs a cab that is already taken and jumps in the back not giving any concern to the rider who is already inside. Except she is one of the most beautiful women he has ever seen and she is not afraid to speak her mind.
Jane is from a prominent family whose father ran a very successful steelworks company until he went to prison and her uncle was name CEO of the company literally running it into the ground. She has given every ounce of energy in trying to save the family's business but she is running out of time.
The Westwood's business of acquiring failing businesses on a dime, dissect them and selling them off for parts is what they do. Alex's brother and father are already discussing this option for Thayer Steelworks. The senior Mr. Westwood invite Jane and her mom to a family dinner. Alex sees Jane, the woman from the cab that he never thought he would see again, and is very intrigued as he had no idea who she was. Unknowing to Alex or Jane, a marriage is arranged which would benefit both families and be the answer to many of the existing problems for Jane and Thayer Steelworks. But it's not that easy. What starts as an arranged marriage between the two turn into a heated passion (HOT, HOT, HOT) of desire that neither of them can resist. This book is full of high-stakes power plays by uncle Andrew, a dishonest board of directors, a mother who is emotionally unstable and a love growing so deep between Alex and Jane that you wonder if it can last. Ali has a way of making you feel like you are a part of the story and living every single emotional moment with them. This is a MUST read and will have you on the edge from start to finish. A great read!!!!! 10 stars!

Some romances give you butterflies. This one gives you butterflies, boardroom battles, and a love story that slowly tightens around your heart before you even realize it.

White Knight Husband isn’t just about an arranged marriage — it’s about power, legacy, pride, and two people who never intended to fall in love but couldn’t stop it from happening.

Jane completely stole this story for me. She’s not waiting to be rescued. She’s carrying the weight of a crumbling empire, dealing with family pressure that would break most people, and still standing tall. Her strength isn’t loud — it’s steady, intelligent, and resilient. Watching her navigate corporate chaos while trying to hold onto her identity made her feel incredibly real.

And then there’s Alex. On the surface, he’s controlled, strategic, and raised to treat business like a chessboard. But underneath? He’s observant, protective in a quiet way, and far more emotionally aware than he lets on. What I loved most is that he doesn’t “save” Jane — he stands beside her. He sees her capability first, not her vulnerability. That shift in dynamic made their connection feel mature and earned.

The arranged marriage angle could have felt predictable, but it didn’t. The tension builds slowly — through sharp dialogue, subtle glances, and moments where pride clashes with undeniable chemistry. When the emotional walls start cracking, it feels authentic. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is handed to them easily.

Beyond the romance, the corporate stakes add depth. Family manipulation, hostile intentions, legacy pressure — it all creates this constant undercurrent of intensity that keeps the pages turning.

Ali Parker once again proves she knows how to blend power and passion into something compelling and addictive.

I received an ARC of this book and am sharing my honest opinion.

Jane Thayer carries the weight of her dysfunctional, misogynistic family and attends therapy sessions to improve her confidence in dealing with them. On her way home from one session, she finds herself sharing a cab with an incredibly handsome, green-eyed man named Alex.

At the Westwood mansion, one of Alex’s brothers brings up the possibility of acquiring Thayer Steelworks that has been floundering after their father’s incarceration for fraud. Since the elder Westwood is familiar with the Thayers, he suggests inviting them to dinner, and when Alex asks Jane in private about considering a deal, her one-word response is “no.” But in the wings, an agreement is reached by controlling parents, and Mr. and Mrs. Westwood emerge from the county courthouse.

Thus begins the enticing, unputdownable saga that confirms Ali Parker as a master storyteller who leaves readers breathless from the fast-paced plot to the details of high stakes acquisitions and luxurious lifestyles.

I absolutely adore Alex, seasoned master of high stakes corporate acquisition with a little known soft heart, and Jane, strong, wicked smart daughter and sister, trying to keep her family afloat. This power couple sets Chicago ablaze by their cunning maneuvers, one of which has them fending off a hostile takeover, as they also find themselves falling deeply in love despite their arranged marriage. White Knight Husband is a must read, so grab a copy, cozy up to your favorite nook, and enjoy this delicious, sizzling romance novel.

Latest in the Westwood and sons series.with arranged marriages as the norm. This is Alex’s story, eldest son of Douglas and CEO of their branch of the family business. On a night of really bad wintry weather he somehow ends up sharing a cab with a gorgeous, fiesty, bossy woman, but does manage to get her details before the cab drops him at his destination.
Jane Thayer is the eldest child in the Thayer family, and the only girl. She expected, after getting her doctorate, she would be put in as CEO of her family’s steel business, when her father went to prison for embezzlement, however the board had different ideas and put her uncle Andrew, who never finished his education, as CEO and she was put in as COO. There are rumours the family business could be broken up and sold off, but without a seat on the board Jane can do nothing to stop this.
Then her mother and Alex’s father come up with a plan, with Alex as a white knight husband riding in to save the business, but can Jane trust him?
As ever this isn’t a straightforward story, an how will it end, can the business be saved and can Alex and Jane have more than just a marriage on paper? Another thoroughly enjoyable read in this series, which can be read alone, but does feature some characters from the other books so would’ve more enjoyable when read as part of the series. I received this as an ARC.

You can never go wrong with a book from Ali Parker. This book is part of the series Billionaire Inheritance Arrangement, but can be read as a standalone. This is about Alex Westwood and Jane Thayer. They meet when Alex jumps in a cab, already occupied by Jane.
Jane has been trying desperately to save her fathers company, since he has been in jail, her uncle has basically destroyed the company.
Alex works with his family business, acquiring failing companies...when his father invites Jane and her mother for a dinner to discuss the take over, he realizes she is the woman from the cab ride he jumped into...
Expect a rollercoaster ride when they find out that they have been put into the situation of an arranged marriage with her families business on the line, a coreupt board of directors and an uncle who does not want to give up his position...I received an ARC copy from the author and freely give my review

Alex Westwood was the next in line to acquire a wife, Jane. His though came with voting rights to his wife’s family company, but if only it was that simple.
Alex and Jane’s first meeting was fun to read, at that stage they didn’t know what they were in for, Alex just knew she was a formidable person.
Two strong characters, Alex from the Westwood family and then Jane who was shoring up her whole family and trying to keep their business afloat, with her father being in prison.
I loved Alex’s strong personality and the way was he was supporting Jane in every step of their journey. Jane with her own brothers still studying was the strength in her family and the emotion was there once she realised she had Alex in her corner to help the fight.
I have enjoyed this series of books especially as the Westwood boys come together to support each other.
Another fantastic book in this series.

White Knight Husband, book six in the Billionaires Inheritance Arrangement Series follows the oldest Westwood son, Alex Westwood, and Jane Thayer. Jane has done everything for her family business, Thayer Steelworks, even gone to school to learn how to one day run the business herself. When her father is arrested and sent to jail for embezzlement, Jane assumes she will become the next CEO but is shocked to learn that her uncle Andrew.. who has no business experience.. will take over instead. Blocked from the boardroom, and hearing of her uncle’s plans to sell off portions of her father’s company, her mother devises a plan for her to marry Alex Westwood and have the Westwood’s take over the company. Can Jane work with Alex to save her family’s business? And will their arrangement turn into something real?

I breeze through this book quickly.
A) is every book in this series about arranged marriage?
B) Huge missed opportunity I was waiting for was Jane wearing Zara’s dress to the benefit? Why wasn’t that in the story?
C) This couple was not spicy, so if you are looking for that this is not the book for you. I was disappointed by how vanilla their relationship was.
D) I honestly can’t keep all of these cousins and brothers straight. Waaaaayyy too many names thrown in. Honestly, don’t even reference the west coast family. It was just too much with all of Jane’s brother’s being introduced.
E) corporate America would never move as fast as Westwood’s company did to acquire Thayer. That was a little over the top.

This was an easy fun read, but I think I want a break from this series if every book is going to be like this one.

Alex & Jane

I LOVED this story!!!

From the first meeting (such a meet cute, even tho it wasn't "cute" per se...) to the way they both handle the arrangement of marriage, their communication, the way Alex takes care of her from the beginning... it's all so much fun to read!

And then there's the business & family drama to add a well-rounded story, too. Also, there is steam, but it's not OTT & it's introduced after they've formed an emotional connection, which I loved.

Jane is brilliant & strong & has had the weight of the world thrust upon her. Alex immediately wants to help carry that weight - not take over, not "rescue" her, exactly, but support her goals & make sure SHE shines. He's powerful & sharp & amazing.

They work so well together & I just highly enjoyed them!!

😍😍😍

Alex & Jane!! Why does this why does the series keep getting better and better? I always look forward to the next book. Alex will move heaven and earth to make Jane’s dreams come through. Their story begins in a shared cab and ends in a HEA. Their relationship starts slow, but it burns hotter once they realize what they want. Jane is so used to being the responsible one in the family-having to take care of everyone until Alex helps her realize she doesn’t have to do it all alone now that he’s her husband. He makes sure she knows she comes first and that he would move heaven and earth for her. As their relationship grows and strengthens, this journey leads to a HEA.

It was also nice to see previous characters. I cannot wait for the next one!

This is the best one yet. I think Jane is the best female character I have read in a while. Alex too. These two from the start just drew me in that I did not want to put this book down. It starts with them in a chance meeting on a cold winter day in Chicago where they share a cab. They go their separate ways. Both have made an impression on each other. Little do they know circumstances and meddling parents would have them in the business end of an arranged marriage to help Jane save the family business. While navigating the obstacles as each one pops up, Jane has to learn that she can rely on someone else. Alex proves himself at every turn. A must read to see how they get to their HEA and if they succeed at saving Jane's company and family legacy.

Prepare to lose a little sleep because once you start reading, you won't be able to put this book down. I read it in one sitting, only getting up to go to the restroom. An arranged marriage between Alex and Jane will grab your heart and it won't take you long to fall in love with them. Emotional and overflowing with angst and family drama. Sabotage, family drama, adultery and more. Alex and Jane were great characters and I loved their family values. My heart broke for Jane and admired what a strong woman she was. I loved how Alex recognized her strength, supported her and fell in love because of it. A slow burn romance with a page turning plot. Well developed characters. An HEA with no cliffhanger, I read a free arc via the author and voluntarily chose to write a review.

With the troubles that have befallen her family all Jane wants is to save the failing family business however she finds herself acing obstacles at every turn. When she is faced with the option of an arranged marriage with Alex or having the company taken over there was no choice to be made.

Alex was intrigued by Jane from their first meeting, so he isn’t deterred by the marriage their families have arranged. The more time they spend together the closer they become and he sees her for the accomplished woman she is and wants to help her save her company.

Jane is stronger than even she knows while Alex will do anything for those she cares about. Family drama, great chemistry and all the feels as they find a love that is meant to last a lifetime.

Jane Thayer and Alex Westwood meet when they end up sharing a cab together. Alex was intrigued by Jane right off the bat. Little did either of them know that their paths would cross and they’d end up in an arranged marriage set up by their parents. Alex fell for Jane first and he fell hard. Jane had no intentions of letting go and letting Alex take over and help her with her father’s company. The longer they are together and she sees the real Alex she starts to fall.
Wonderfully written storyline that will have you flipping the pages and fast. Alex was definitely a knight in shining armor and Jane was one lucky lady. I didn’t want this book to end. Ali once again outdone herself.
I was honored to receive an arc copy of this book and I am freely leaving my honest review.

Excellent read

I loved Alex and Jane's story. These two were exactly alike, except Jane had lived through a terrible experience, and Alex had been born into the right family. Jane's father had convicted of embezzlement from his own company. Jane had gone off to school to get her doctorate from Yale. Her only goal was to run the family company, Thayer Steelworks'. She and Alex married so he could gain a vote and a seat on their board. Things did not go as they had hoped. Alex showed up for her, like nobody else in her life ever did. This was a story of hope. If you're looking for your next book boyfriend, Alex is your man. I highly recommend reading this book and the entire series. Great read.

Overall Score: 4/5⭐️
Plot: 4/5⭐️
Overall Enjoyment: 4/5⭐️

This was a great read after constantly reading romantasy books.

I love Jane, she is so strong, intelligent, and witty! Their initial run in inside the cab was hilarious!! What a cute meeting to start an unforgettable love. There's so much layers to Jane's character. You got the her love for her family, her strength to go against her odds at work, her determination to get all her degrees to proof her worth.

Alex is a literal white knight for Jane. Someone who can finally take care of her and knows exactly what she needed even when she doesn't. His belief in her is amazing. He brings out the best.

Alex's family business is to acquire failing businesses and selling them off in parts. His father and brother was discussing this option for Jane's family business. Now there is an arrange marriage that would benefit both families. The marriage is a bit of a problem because feelings is starting to grow. Alex and Jane an unforgettable romance! I so love it! This series in addicting! Alex gets Jane, unlike anyone in her life ever did! I felt so comfortable with all the emotions it brings forward, even the anger, which made me want to throat punch Jane's mom, along with Mallory the mistress ewwww! Two of the most selfish women ever! The other supporting characters in both families and friends are beautiful people inside and out! The natural bond and heat between these two was dreamy! Thank you Ali once again for your gifted ability at storytelling!

Absolutely loved this arranged marriage HEA. Alex and Jane are both strong and powerful business people in their own right, and with different reasons. Neither is interested in marriage, until their thrown together into an impossible situation. Legacy is the word that is constant thru this story...how you build it, how you keep it and how you live it. This was a very well written and engaging story, and Ali draws you in, makes you feel what these characters feel, and had you cheering for them. Well done!

This is Book 6 in the Billionaire Inheritance Arrangement Series by this author, and can be read as a standalone. It is a heartfelt romance between Alex and Jane. These two flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an interesting read. What starts out as a marriage of convenience turns into something more. It is a slow burn love story with drama and steam, sexual tension and chemistry, family dynamic, and twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters. An emotional page turner.

When you don’t know what you need be open to possibilities. Jane loves her family so much she is holding them together with everything she has. Her father was careless and so selfish his family is paying with their way of life and financially. Jane is a brilliant woman in a man’s world. Alex and Jane meet on a stormy Chicago night while sharing a taxi. They soon find out their lives are about to be impacted beyond their wildest thoughts. There is so much yet to come. Enjoy.

Another great addition to the Billionaire Inheritance arrangement series. Alex Westwood is powerful, part of a legacy and must marry Jane Thayer another pillar of a dynasty in dire need of money to keep her family's legacy afloat. These two strong willed characters will butt heads at every turn, she is used to doing everything on her own and soon the weight will be too much for her and she will start to trust Alex to help her keep everything on an even keel. This marriage of convenience will slowly become one of partnership and love. I loved this story from the first to the last page.

Alex Westwood and Jane Thayer meet when they both jump into the same taxicab.  There is instant chemistry between them before they even realize who the other person is.  They meet again when the Westwood empire is trying to acquire the Thayer's failing business.  A deal is struck and both sides are bound to uphold their side of the bargain.  Attaining those goals becomes quite entertaining.  It's a great story with a good HEA.
