A break from work means lounging in her pajamas and eating her weight in chips for Harper Sinclair. That is, until her best friend unexpectedly moves up the date of her wedding. Now Harper has seven days to put her maid of honour skills to the test. And try not to strangle the best man in the process.
Beau VanCamp has been in love with his little sister's best friend for years. Too bad she hates his guts, and he has no idea why. Because once upon a time, he thought maybe she loved him, too. But lucky for him, he has a week full of wedding errands to get to the bottom of it and worm his way back into her heart.
Forced to cooperate for the sake of their friends, Harper does her best to keep her guard up. After all, hurt her once, shame on you. But hurt her twice... The only problem is that Beau doesn't know when to quit. And Harper is having a little trouble forgetting what happened between them in that photo booth last year.
Between a disastrous cake tasting and a city-wide ice storm knocking out the power, that should be enough of a sign Harper and Beau don't work together. But maybe she was wrong about what she heard all those years ago. And maybe—just maybe—Beau has been hers all along.

This was a super cute valentines read, eek, Beau was such a dreamboat, Bobbi really knows how to write an obsessed man!
Beau and Harper were once friends, until she overhears a conversation that she got wrong and they haven't spoken in years, until they're forced to plan a wedding together last minute.
I also really like their email exchanges, and how Beau signed them off to Harper.
Short, sweet, and very much a “wait, we’re already at the ending?” kind of novella. The best friend’s older brother trope worked for me and the yearning was there, even if I wanted more of it before everything suddenly clicked into place. The conflict wrapped up fast, but the characters were so likable that I mostly just wished this had been a full-length novel instead. Cute, easy, and left me wanting more time with them.
I loved this surprise little Valentine's day second chance, dual POV romance novella that has the maid of honor and the best man forced to help plan a wedding for their friend/sister in a week. I really enjoyed the tension of not knowing what caused the break in Harper and Beau's friendship. This was a fast read with great chemistry, a bit of misunderstanding, flashbacks and some great spice. Fun, flirty and just the perfect little Valentine's Day snack! 10/10 recommend! Bonus the author is a Canadian indie author I love!
