Winter: A Pop-up Book

Rate this book
As day turns to night, bright red cardinals flit from branch to branch, deer paw through the snow, and weasels in their white winter coats frolic among the berry-laden holly. Soon all the animals settle down to sleep. In Winter , simple verse and scenes bring to life the countryside as snow begins to fall. Each spread’s pop-up and lift-up flap reveal the wonders of the season and all the animals as they settle down for the night. Also available by David A A Pop-Up Book .

David Carter is a wiz when it comes to cute pop-up books. He has all the seasons out there and this is his Winter pop-up. I think this is our 4th for the year.

I am amazed that he can make something so simple like snowflakes look so amazing when they pop out. There are 8 pages here. My favorites are the snowflakes and the Tree that grows. They amaze me. The nephew loves the holly tree and all of them really. I love how he can spend about 20 minutes by himself being quite, engaged and interested in a book. There are a few lift the flaps too. Seriously, I get these pop-up books often because I enjoy them - true, but more because my nephew loves to try and figure out how they work. It's great to see him not a zombie in front of the TV or going crazy the rest of the time. He gave it 5 stars. Who knows, maybe one day he'll design these books.

Super cute book, I liked following the weasels in the store. The popups were great but again to delicate for a toddler or less careful child.
