Revolution spreads along the Central American coast. Steam power is reshaping trade. Empires maneuver for control of the isthmus—and the sea lanes that feed it.

When a relic from a long-forgotten wreck surfaces, it brings documents never meant to be found. What was buried at sea now threatens fortunes and the fragile balance of power.

A routine recovery turns into a race across unstable ports and hostile waters. Civil war burns ashore. Armed vessels patrol offshore. In a world where merchants become privateers overnight, no flag guarantees safety.

Every harbor carries risk. Every alliance has a price.

High-seas action and political intrigue drive this installment of Tides of Fortune, where the tide can turn without warning—and survival favors the bold.

Just a Family Man

As always, I raced right through this exciting drama that illustrates the turbulence of the maritime scene in the early to mid-19th Century. The continuing chronicle of a captured child and erstwhile pirate remains an exciting exploration of the activities and politics of the time as he struggles to protect family and crew on his voyages. Go ahead and jump right into the water for the excitement and drama of this story, and then go back and start from the beginning of the series so you can truly enjoy the entire saga!

A high seas adventure with a well written storyline and a great cast of outstanding realistic characters. Contains plenty of high seas action, suspense, and political intrigue. Nick and Shayla keep finding more trouble on their high sea adventure from the Caribbean to New York. A page turning read that I highly recommend. Looking forward to the next adventure with Nick aboard whatever ship he can find.
