A great romance between two friends of shifters (wolves and bears). This is a story full of action, attraction, amnesia, a protective Irish firefighter, a nurse and her wolf shifter firefighter, twists, second-time romance and love.
When Jess has a bad car accident trying to avoid a huge bear on the road, her crush Finn is one of the firefighters to get her out and to hospital where her friend Tess, a nurse, looks after her. But when she wakes she's lost three months of memory and she doesn't remember the gorgeous Irish redhead who brings her a coffee, though she's more than happy to flirt with him.
"Tessa looked like she was witnessing a car crash in slow motion. Finn looked like he was the car."
When she's released she goes to stay with Tess and her wolf shifter boyfriend Cam to recover but when things get awkward Finn offers to look after her while her memories come back (in wonderfully fun ways). Jess is brilliant, feisty, funny and with no filter while she's recovering she wants to take a chance with Finn who's been falling in love with her for the last three months.
"We'd been circling each other for months, the tension building with every coffee run an every late-night conversation, but neither of us had made a move."
A wonderful fun read with a protective Irish firefighter MMC and a FMC who's hilarious with no filter. There's great world building, plenty of details, multiple POVs, great banter, and some lovely heartwarming moments between the main characters throughout the story. Could be read as a standalone but better if you've read the first in the series "Claimed by the Rogue Shifter" to understand some of the references as Jess' memory comes back.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Jess gets into a bad car accident and looses some of her memories so Tess and Cam take her in while she heals. But she has to leave so Finn offers to take care of her. Meanwhile some of her memories are coming back and she wants to take a chance with him. She is so feisty and funny at the same time. Cam finds the bear pack and has a sit down with the alpha Rowan. Tess decides to be the go between and tells them all what to do and they become a pack. However, after Rowan saves Tessa Cam gets mad and almost lets loose on Rowan before he knows the facts. What will happen next? I love that the characters continue into this book and a few are added. As the new story builds you can't help but be sucked in. Tess is hilarious and the banter between them all is awesome. I couldn't help but smile and laugh through the whole book. I couldn't put it down. Five stars. I can't wait for the next book.
-This was a pleasantly cheerful, laugh-out-loud shifter romance that kept me smiling from start to finish. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts about it.
The humor is effortless, from broken-bone banter to a psychic cat that completely stole scenes. Finn is a protective, charming Irish firefighter, while Jess brings heart and vulnerability through her amnesia. A lighthearted pack/family romance with strong side characters that makes for a genuinely good reading experience.
Jess & Finn - Finding Your Place Romance The story continues, the pack is growing and forgetting a part of your life gives this couple a clean slate to jumpstart their love story. This is a multi-pov book that keeps you engaged and it's easy to follow. I absolutely recommend reading book 1 in order to understand the timeline.
This wasn’t what I expected when I started reading the book, but I loved it. I liked that it had a little different twist on romance and it was awesome. The characters were all interesting. It really kept the story moving. I hope there is another book in this series.
This was a really great story. A mix of amnesia, shifters, and some fun banter, really kept me intrigued. This felt light hearted but a great depth within it. This was really well written and I’m enjoying reading this author. Can’t wait for what comes next.
This was good. Normally I love when writers do the different pov of the main characters. But in the book, there are povs for many of the characters which is awesome. I love getting to see how the other characters think and feel. It makes them more real. And I loved the whole story line.
