Persistent Heart will have you asking "Dear Lord, I see what you’ve done for others" because, chiiiiiiiile, where is my Lem?!!!! This was such a sexy romance. Nicolette is stuck at the airport in Atlanta on Valentine's Day because of a bad storm. She was headed to Dallas to rekindle her relationship with her ex. Now, if that storm wasn't divine intervention I don't know what is. While she's sitting in a bar contemplating life and why she's still single, in walks Lem in all his BDE glory. Lem pretty much falls instantly in love with Nicolette right there in the bar. After ear hustlin' and listening to her conversation with her BFF, Lem sweettalks himself into sitting with Nicolette and makes his case for her to come home with him to find her passion. The connection these two have was so strong, Nicolette has no problem riskin' it all. Lem is one of those men who can make love to your mind and, honey, he was all up in Nicolette's head with his advanced word play. Over the next 24 hours, these two embark on a journey of deep intense conversation and some really hot sex. Lem backed up everything he said and then some. He lets Nicolette know he doesn't just want her for the night. He expects to have her for a lifetime. Persistent Heart was black romance personified. It will have you asking, can a person fall in love in one night? Lem helped Nicole find her passion so, absolutely!
Whew! 🥰 This short read packed a punch! 😜 Nic is grounded at the airport during an ice storm on Valentine's Day no less. When Lem lays eyes on Nic, his says to himself "mine". He knows nothing about this woman but is certain she is his future. 👀 He is smooth with his approach, but Nic is not buying it. She can sense a player from a mile away, but there is something about him that makes her believe he is sincere.
Chile.... Lem pulled Nic around like a puppet on a string, you hear me? 🤣 He was able to guide her toward his will with little effort, and she had no idea what was happening to her. 🤯 What she did know was that he could please her like she had never been before! 😜🥵 The chemistry and their connection grew by the minute, and before night's end....... You gotta read it for yourself. You won't be disappointed! 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
WHEW!!! Baby y'all just go read the book because I felt every single word. I felt everything Lem told Nic she would feel and experience. This book was MYGOD!!!!!!
You just gotta read it. I can't even say it was too short. Because it gave what it was suppose to give and baby when I say to be a fly on the wall. It was like watching it play out in front of you!!!!!!! A quick read I didn't know I needed. Thank you Mrs. Mills.
I went into this as my first time reading K.C. Mills, and she did not disappoint. For a novella, the plot felt full and thoughtfully developed. Nothing felt rushed or shallow. I understood Nic and Lem, their motives, and the pull between them from the start. The chemistry hits quickly, but it doesn’t feel flimsy. The connection makes sense, and the emotional beats land. And the spice? Visual and very well done. It added to the story instead of overpowering it. A quick read that still feels complete. Definitely a positive four stars for me.
Definitely a whirlwind romance when things took a detour to possibly a forever love. This book reminds those not to settle with history or comfortability but with intuition!
I love this author’s work! Haven’t read a book I didn’t like by her. This book is no different. It’s just that it is so far fetched from reality and thats why I gave it 4 stars. I was trying to get into it but I just felt like no man is gonna want a woman that soon and already discussing babies and marriage. She was so skeptical as she should have been. The way she went from rejecting him to agreeing with what he wanted almost gave me whiplash. It was a good little read but definitely fiction!
Weather conditions were the cause of flights cancellations for Nicolette “Nic”. The last thing she expected was to meet a handsome man who is trying to convince her that he’s the one for her.
I like how Lem instantly fell for Nicolette(Nic) by just hearing her voice and looking at her beautiful face. They shared a connection that was mind blowing to the both of them and the attraction that they had for each other moved them to explore it fully. Some might call it fate but I say it was their destiny.
Nicolette and Lem met at the airport during a flight delay. He overheard her conversation with her girlfriend and was intrigued and instantly attracted. He took a chance and offered to take her to his place until morning and she skeptically agreed. A one night stand turned into something more and they agreed to pursue it beyond the one night.
This was a great book of Destiny. Risky I might add…. I will say, when the license was offered, I definitely would have taken that picture so fast lol. This book proves once again, when a man sees what he wants, he does what’s necessary. Gotta stop wasting our time.
This one was almost five stars for me but the end kinda left me wanting to many things. Other than feeling like a cliff hanger, this novella was good. It was straight to the point with a little spice to reel in the reader.
I enjoy a good instalove from time to time and this did not disappoint. Lem set his sights on Nic and it was a wrap. Sparks, attraction, and a little fun went a long way. His truths and length won him his forever.
short sweet and to the point. Instalove?? Maybe. Def Instant attraction. But wait it was the ex sending her a flight to him and it had a damn layover. that right there was a damn sign.
