Rhett is definitely going in the top 5 hated MMCs of all time!!!!! Abby deserved better than that piece of shit. I honestly don’t know why she ended with Rhett and not an OM. Honestly she was pathetic. MMC chooses her sister over and over again until the last 10 - 15 pages. I don’t remember the last time I angry cried cause a book pissed me off.
‘Everything’s so fucking messy in my head. But, when I’m with Abby, all I see is her.’
…😑this should’ve been called “the wrong man.” you’re telling me that this man was engaged to her sister, got her pregnant, told her to get lost when she told him about the pregnancy, then strung her along for basically her whole pregnancy (still with her sister, btw), all to be like… “you know what… it’s always been you!” 😒 no thank ya. ✋ if he would’ve gone about it in a different way when she told him, maybe he could’ve grown on me, but sadly, that wasn’t the case. 🥲🙂↔️🙂↔️🫠
i’m all for a forbidden romance but this was all forbidden and barely any romance. it just seems like he was with her because of the baby. 😕
This book is about a cheating male lead, let's start with that. Past me would turn down this book without question; however, current me, was willing to reserve my judgement. Mainly because I was bored and I needed something a lil bit angsty but not too much that I want to blow my head off.
This did it.
I can't point out what about this book that won me over. Our guy was literally juggling two sisters at the same time. BUT, I think I (and our female lead) were just waiting for him to get his head out of his ass, despite his massive stupidity. Something about him made me think, yeah, we're going to work this one out, no problemo.
All in all, I know K. Webster won't stray me wrong. Sometimes she does. But not this time. I really like it.
Genre: Contemporary Romance Type: Standalone book 2 of Taboo Sneaks POV: First person - dual Rating:
Rhett Monahan had his future all mapped out until a single mistake with his girlfriend’s sister, Abby Serengeti, forced him to rethink his priorities. But changing course proves far more complicated than either of them expected.
I loved how Abby chose her on path instead of staying caged by her toxic family. Even with nothing, she found ways to survive. While Rhett was a bit too much of a pushover for my liking, he stepped up when it mattered. Seeing his journey towards becoming a dad was endearing. I also enjoyed the overall story with the contrasting family dynamics.
The Wrong Sister is a story of found family and finding one’s own way. It would appeal to readers who enjoy short forbidden romance.

I love the Secret Pregnancy Trope told in different ways, and K. Webster’s version adds angst, that forbidden line that’s crosssed, and questionable decision-making for both the MMC and FMC. So what makes it a Secret Pregnancy? I should back up because I know I’m going to get asked. Is there cheating? Well, define cheating?
My definition likely doesn’t match most readers. Understand, the cheating trope doesn’t nearly bother me as much as it does most—it truly depends on how this trope is delivered. Abby gets pregnant by her sister’s boyfriend, Rhett. The angst involved—Abby definitely is portrayed as getting the short end of the stick in all aspects of her life. Rhett is torn between doing the right thing, protecting Abby and the baby, and, of course, making sure no one finds out that this happened. So Abby and the pregnancy became a secret.
It did take me a bit to warm up to Rhett, but I did. The Wrong Sister is a fairly short story and reads quickly. Having said that, I still felt the two characters were meant for each other. They ended up making the right decision about her family in the end. I loved the epilogue too!
Thank you to Author K. Webster for the #gifted e-copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
"My mistake is growing inside the wrong sister and there's not a damn thing I can do about it."
To be honest here, I loved Rhett's story more than I liked his father's.... This was a small forbidden bite that I enjoyed very much, even though the hero was stubborn as a mule, whilt the truth was starring him deeply in the eye in every single turn!!! Abby was absolutely adorable and I have loved her so much!!!
"He's still obsessed with his stupid perfect life. Angela fits the mold. I broke it."
Rhett had his life planned out to every single detail!!! Until that fateful drunken night that he slipped up and gave into temptation... His girlfriend's little sister and black sheep of the family!!! Abby had chosen freedom than being a pawn in her family's hands... But that darn forbidden night had changed the unknown course of her life... She is about to become a mother and she needs help from the man that she is avoiding like a plague... And from that moment, things are getting complicated for both of our heroes!!!
"Abby is the polar opposite of my girlfriend. She's all dark edges and spice."
She was the wrong sister, but what she really was was the right one... Only Rhett was refusing to see it, even though he changed everything for her... They were like a married couple all the time, but he was refusing to acknowledge it!!! And it was so darn frustrating!!! Yep, this forbidden apple was delicious and I liked it very much!!! I am really curious about the next taboo snack that Kristy will deliver us!!!
"Everything's so fucking messy in my head. But, when I'm with Abby, all I see is her."
1.5 stars, rounded. Quick 100-something page read. The premise implied angst, but the short length implied that the angst wouldn’t hit the way I wanted it to. Both Abby and Rhett were annoying…actually all the characters featured in this were annoying. Just a series of bad decisions, and the story was not executed that well.
Honestly, if this was a full-length novel that explored the tension and build-up between Abby and Rhett before their stupidity, it could’ve been interesting. Instead, jumping right into the outcome of those choices and adding even more issues with it made this an unbearable read. Also, the use of “honey” as an endearment is awful to me…it’s extra cringe 😭
I love a good taboo read and this one delivered! Rhett has his perfect county club life all planned out including the "prim and proper" girlfriend, Angela that he will be proposing to. Things go off the rails for him when he gets drunk and sleeps with Angela's sister and she later tells him she is pregnant. The outcast of her family, Abby finds herself pregnant and homeless until Rhett steps up. How long can Rhett keep up this facade? Sooooo good!!!
This book was a slightly different journey for me. As much as I love K. Webster’s writing, this one felt more on the softer, beginner-friendly side. The story was simple, sweet, and honestly very easy to get through. You could finish it in a day if you’re a true bookworm.
The characters really stood out to me. The MMC had this confused, “trying to find what’s right” kind of personality, but at his core, he was gentle and genuinely lovable. He definitely gives future husband material energy, which makes his actions feel even more meaningful.
I think for anyone wanting to step into Webster’s world, this book and the series overall set a really good introduction. It captures her writing style in a more approachable way.
For me, this was more of a lowkey perhaps maybe read, but I still enjoyed every second of it. And as always, you can feel how much care Webster puts into her characters. She writes them with such softness and warmth, not just here, but in all her books.
The FMC was honestly unexpected in the best way, and I found myself really liking her character. And the ending? Adorable and perfectly satisfying, it tied everything together in such a comforting way. Overall, it’s one of those quiet, good reads that may not be overwhelming but still feels good.
I'm so grateful to be chosen as the ARC reader. And to get deeper into her writing world.
I think there’s something wrong with me! *cries* I am just not feeling these Taboo Sneaks that K Webster is putting out.
I have always turned to her for my taboo treats (if you know what I mean) because she has delivered ten-fold in the past but now … I must be broken #sendhelp
Pains me to say this about a K Webster book, but I really disliked this one. Rhett was one of the weakest hero's I have ever read, he was beyond pitiful.
The Wrong Sister is book two in K.Webster’s Taboo Sneaks series and this time we have Owen’s son Rhett Monahan and his forbidden romance with Abby Serengeti. When a mistake could change his life forever, does he choose the perfect life he has planned or give it all up for what could be the right one. When two lines makes him question everything he thought he wanted, he starts to wonder if he has chosen the wrong sister. Could his slip up turn out to be more than he’d ever hoped for.
“The right one has been in front of me the whole time.”
Rhett has created a plan to have the perfect life and once he starts dating Angela, a beauty pageant queen from a wealthy and respected family, everything falls into place. He’s been working hard for the future he wants but his best friend Riko doesn’t like Angela and isn’t happy how she makes him act differently. However, there happens to be another girl in his life. Abby is his Angela’s sister and they are total opposites. Angela is prim and proper whereas Abby has tattoos, piercings and a reputation as a wild girl. Controlled versus chaos. One night after a few drinks, his desire for Abby got too much and he forgot why she was a bad idea. He has tried to put that night out of his mind because he refuses to accept the consequences if anyone found out.
Abby walked away from her family when they didn’t support her after a horrific event. She spiralled down quickly and did some things she regrets but Rhett isn’t one of them. She is now the black sheep of the family. She feels guilty over what they did that night but never expected to end up pregnant. Finding herself homeless and jobless, she has no option but to tell him.
He’s on the verge of proposing to Angela when he gets the call from Abby. He is shocked at the news which could destroy his life but agrees to help her as long as no-one finds out he’s the father. An incident kick starts the change in his attitude towards her and then helping her out added complications he didn’t envisage. I loved all the banter and teasing especially over the baby’s name. Much to Riko’s amusement Rhett quickly becomes very possessive and protective over her.
A couple of events change things again for Rhett and make him question if he can keep his two worlds apart and what will be the fallout if he gets found out. His version of doing the right thing becomes more involved and harder to walk away from. They are spending a lot of time together so his feelings for Abby become messy and confusing. Is his plan all pretend and false compared to what he has with Abby which is starting to feel genuine and real.
Abby is determined not to get attached and fall for him but he keeps stepping up for her and the baby. I felt sorry for her when the truth comes out about what happened and her relationship with Angela and her parents. She is sure he doesn’t love Angela so why can’t he love her? He is obsessed with his perfect life and can’t see what’s in front of him so will see his commitment to Angela through? Will his dirty little secret with the wrong sister, turn out to be everything he didn’t know he wanted or desired? Great twists at the end to conclude this couple’s story.
It was fun being back in Moonlit Gables and seeing how everyone is doing especially Owen and Mei with their twins. I liked how Casey and Clara befriended Abby and Riko was brillant. Looking forward to the next book about Rhett’s sister Addison as there were some good teasers about her.
Oh Kristi, how I love your books. I just cannot help but devour them all. And The Wrong Sister, this novella, delivered with a delicious and unexpectedly kind punch. I expected filth, but lately Kristi writes these stunning, kind, open and heartfelt stories. Where it is about the connection between characters instead of just pure chemistry and fire.
Rhett is a hardworking student who has his entire future planned ahead of him. He is dating Angela Serengeti who comes from an affluent family. He cares for her and he likes what she represents and he loves how her parents accept him and want him to do well in life. They have a high place in society and Rhett is starting to find his own place in society.
The big red stain on the Serengeti family is Abby. Angela's wild sister who is living her own life and who doesn't care about high society at all. She is free and she loves standing on her own two feet.
The book starts with Rhett remembering a huge regret. Awhile ago he attended a party which Abby also attended and they ended up having wild sex in the pantry. He regrets it and hopes he can forget it soon.
But Abby isn't able to forget, not feeling-wise, but their rendezvous had consequences. Abby is pregnant, homeless, jobless, hungry and on the run from the police. She has no other option than to call Rhett and Rhett instantly steps up. At first he wants the problem gone. And he is kinda harsh and was like hey man, I don't really like you. But the story quickly evolves and changes.
Rhett is taking full responsibility for Abby and their baby. All while desperately trying to maintain his facade of a perfect life with Angela.
And that is what this stunning story is about. It's about a man who has such a clear picture of the future that he is scared to deviate even one step in the wrong direction. He keeps his mind busy and he keeps telling himself lies. All in order to keep up public appearances.
And Abby? Abby wants nothing more than a solid future for her and her baby. Her heart is open, warm and she knows what she wants.
There is also a lot of humor in this book and I was grinning several times and I enjoyed the fun balance between a growing love and a serious story line. It was well balanced and I really enjoyed this taboo sneak.
It didn't feel really taboo if I am honest. And it's a super sweet story rather than a erotic one. But lord, these two stole my heart and soul. I love how hard they love and how spending time together is what grounds them.
Being misjudged by her family, Abigail “Abby” Serengeti is on her own until she receives certain news that changes everything. Rhett Monahan has his life planned and it doesn’t include an independent, feisty and colorful Abby, yet he cannot let go of one memory.
“Life feels real and not fabricated. But it’s also a secret life. What happens when it’s exposed to the light? Will it look as pretty and shiny?”
Narrated in dual POV, Abby is an admirable and principled character. Even when she is at the end of her options, she finds a way to stay independent of her controlling parents. Though Rhett’s priorities are askew, his true nature guides the path.
Throughout, it was quite endearing how Rhett treated “Buck” and he scored points for rising above the country club mentality. Together, Abby and Rhett shared chemistry and that led to some steamy scenes. As for Abby’s family, they are a piece of work.
The Wrong Sister is about being true to your values and standing up for what is right.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephane's Book Reports.
This is the story of Rhett and Angela oh and Abby. Now I know that a cow is going to be had because there is cheating in this book. However, if you read the description of this book, it is very obvious that this is what you are choosing to read. Rhett is a guy who has a perfect life with a perfect fiancé until one night when he had too much to drink and ends up with the wrong sister. A sister who is the total opposite of the one he is going to marry. He has his life all mapped out. At this point I was all good luck with that buddy. Since we all know that life tends to kick you in the butt and turn your perfect plans upside down all the time. Abby is a girl who had pretty much taken life for the horns and chose the path that she wanted instead of what her toxic family chooses. She basically has nothing yet is surviving just fine. I really loved that about her. Now she needs Rhett to step up. But if he doesn't, she knows that once again she will choose the path and get along just fine. Now Rhett is not going to be your biggest oh I love this guy. I think he had his plan and he was not willing to adapt and at times you are thinking, come one dude, get your head in the game and out of the clouds. I don't want to go on about the story and give something away. These are after all taboo sneaks and in my humble opinion, K Webster writes the best taboo books. I could not put it down. I had to know what was going to happen.
Rhett Monahan had his whole future planned out… until one mistake with his girlfriend’s sister changed everything. And honestly? the MESS, the angst, the forbidden tension in this book had me hooked from the start.
Abby absolutely stole this story for me. She spent her whole life trapped under the weight of a toxic family, constantly getting the short end of the stick, yet she still found a way to survive and choose herself. Watching her finally break free and build her own path was probably my favorite part of the entire book.
Now Rhett… he frustrated me at times because he could definitely be a pushover, but seeing him slowly step into the role of protecting Abby and becoming a father ended up being really endearing. The secret pregnancy trope mixed with the “my sister’s boyfriend” situation made EVERYTHING so much messier in the best way possible. The tension, the guilt, the questionable decisions, the secrecy… it was impossible to look away.
And before anyone asks: yes, this book absolutely walks the line of cheating/forbidden romance. Whether you’ll love that really depends on your personal tolerance for morally messy situations. For me, the angst and emotional conflict made it work.
Even though this is a shorter read, I still believed Abby and Rhett belonged together by the end. The found family aspects, the contrasting family dynamics, and Abby finally choosing peace over toxic loyalty made this story hit harder emotionally than I expected.
I love a book with connections and The Wrong Sister had lots of them. Emotional connections, chemistry connections, and all kinds of character connections.🥰
Rhett believes he has his life all mapped out. He's had a crush on the wrong girl before, so this time he's locked down the right one. Polished to the point she may as well be a plastic barbie doll, the exact opposite of her sister, Abby. The woman he slipped up and slept with one drunken night. His sights should be set towards his future except now his thoughts aren't filled with his fiancée, they are filled with the woman carrying his baby.🫢
Rhett’s been popping up in Webster's books for awhile now and I'm so happy he finally got his happily ever after. He deserved the right woman by his side and I loved Abby for him. Abby is a spitfire with a huge heart. The perfect match for Rhett. Especially now that he needed to be pulled out the stuffy façade he thought he needed to live.
I wouldn't classify this book as exactly taboo, but definitely emotional, which points more towards forbidden. It's certainly more about two people finding their person vs. doing what you think society thinks you should do, or what labels have been shoved down your throat vs. what the heart wants 🥰. There are several past characters that have cameos, which I love, and a look at where this world will take take us next. I'm hooked so yes, please.
The characters were what really pulled me in with this one, especially the MMC because he has this confused, trying to do the “right” thing energy but underneath it all he’s so gentle and genuinely lovable, like full future husband material which makes every choice he makes feel heavier, and I liked that this felt like a softer, more approachable way to step into Webster’s world because you can really see how much care she puts into her characters and how she writes them with warmth and emotion, for me it was more of a quiet, lowkey kind of read but I still enjoyed it the whole way through, especially because of the dynamic between Rhett, Angela, and Abby, you’ve got Rhett chasing this perfectly planned life with Angela who fits that image so well, beauty queen, polished, everything in place, but then there’s Abby, her complete opposite, tattoos, chaos, a bit wild and unpredictable, and you can feel that pull between control and something more real and messy, and when that one moment happens where he slips up with Abby it shifts everything and suddenly he’s questioning whether the life he’s been building is actually what he wants or if the right person has been in front of him the whole time, I also really liked the FMC because she wasn’t what I expected in the best way and felt refreshing, and the ending just tied it all together in such a soft, satisfying way, it’s not an overwhelming story but it leaves you with that warm, content feeling that kind of lingers.
The Wrong Sister by K. Webster, provided via Chaotic Creatives, is an emotionally charged romance filled with complicated relationships, family dysfunction, and long-standing feelings that finally surface.
The story follows Abby, who has spent much of her life feeling like the outsider within her own family. Constantly compared to her sister and treated as the “wrong” one, she carries years of emotional isolation and hurt throughout the story.
Rhett’s relationship with Abby becomes increasingly complicated due to his connection to her sister, creating emotional tension and conflict from the very beginning. While Rhett takes time to fully acknowledge his feelings, the progression of the relationship ultimately delivers a satisfying emotional payoff.
One of the strongest aspects of the story is Abby’s emotional journey. Her struggle with feeling unwanted and overlooked adds depth to the romance and makes her character easy to empathize with throughout the book.
The emotional push and pull between the characters keeps the story engaging, while lighter moments—such as the ongoing debate surrounding the baby nickname “Buck”—help balance some of the heavier emotional themes.
Overall, The Wrong Sister is a dramatic and emotionally layered romance that explores complicated love, family wounds, and finally being seen for who you truly are.
This is one of those stories where the premise alone tells you it’s going to be messy—but the emotional execution is what really makes it hit.
At its core, the wrong sister is about illusion vs truth. Rhett has built a life that looks perfect from the outside—status, stability, the “right” woman. Angela represents everything safe, expected, and socially approved........and then there’s Abby.
She’s everything that doesn’t fit into his world—unfiltered, emotional, complicated—and that contrast is where the story really shines. Abby isn’t just the “other sister.” She’s the one who sees him without the performance, and that connection grows in a way that feels both inevitable and completely destructive. The secret pregnancy trope raises the stakes immediately, but it’s the forced proximity and hidden relationship that really deepens the tension. Watching him try (and fail) to compartmentalize his life is equal parts frustrating and compelling.
Be warned: Rhett will test your patience!!!! I know he did mine and he did a lot lol. This is not a clean or easy romance—he makes selfish choices, delays the inevitable, and hurts both women but to be honest Angela's hurt you kinda wanna say she deserves it lol.....she is not a nice person, but it makes the payoff feel earned when everything finally unravels.
If you’re into: ✅high angst ✅morally messy situations ✅forbidden relationships with real emotional weight then this delivers exactly what it promises.
ARC REVIEW — The Wrong Sister by K. Webster #2 taboo romance Rate: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spice: 🌶️🌶️ This book is filled with emotion and the difficulty of choosing the right thing. It explores complicated feelings, moral conflict, and relationships that aren’t always easy. If this trope isn’t your cup of tea, you might want to skip it but if you enjoy emotional, character-driven stories, this one delivers. The Wrong Sister by K. Webster was really good. If you’re looking for a simple yet deeply emotional story, this holds the perfect balance. The story has everything emotion, understanding, confusion, and the struggle of doing the right thing even when it’s hard. The FMC was adorable. She showed so much empathy and wasn’t what I initially expected, but I ended up really appreciating her character. She’s a sweetheart who’s been hurt and played, and I found her completely worthy of love. The MMC is a gentleman in his own way. No one is perfect, but his behavior and actions made me adore him. His intentions felt genuine, and he came across as a quiet sweetheart. The spice was good balanced, soft, and sweetly written. It complemented the emotional tone of the story without overpowering it. I just want to say thank you for choosing me to be part of the ARC for this book. I loved the emotion and care K. Webster put into this story.
Overall, I really enjoyed the story. As always, this author delivered a really good product with lots of heart. It didn’t have as many spicy scenes as some of her other books which was a little disappointing to me, but overall I liked the book. It would’ve been five stars but the fact that she tore up the check was insane. I’m sorry when you are raising children that money matters. The fact that she ripped it up and was willing for it to go to Angela? I’m sorry the sister who wanted to physically harm you you rip up a check that was money from a guy who abused you and you’re gonna leave it to your sister when you now have a second child on the way? That is college tuition. It’s a support net. If your kid has a teenage pregnancy it could be money for you to go to college it could be money for your husband to start his own business. I’m sorry the saying to cut off your nose to spite your face is a real thing. That was just a very dumb plot move. Every time an author adds something because they’re like we want to stand on principle you wanna go know in real life principles do matter, but tearing up that check doesn’t hurt the bad people. It only hurts the good ones.
I loved the trope and I had to read it but the H chooses the sister till almost the end of the book. This is what happens at aprox. 90% of the story:
"Abby stiffens. “Angela’s next door?” I cringe and give the barest of nods. A small whining sound escapes Abby as she scrambles away from me and off the couch. Jumping to my feet, I panic and shake my head in warning. “Don’t go over there,” I bark out, sharper than I intend. “Don’t do this to me, Abs. Please.” Her bottom lip trembles and a tear races down her cheek. “Trust me. I have zero desire to go over there and ruin your perfect little life. Just go, Rhett. You know you want to.” I ache to stay with her but she’s now glaring daggers at me, the anger quickly snuffing out her hurt feelings. The last thing I want to do is leave her like this, but I’m afraid if I try to smooth things over with her, Angela will get antsy to see what I’m up to. It’ll all blow up."
In the very last pages everything resolves itself and they are happy together. The good part is that he really doesn;t cheat on the h, just is emotionally also here, also there.

Sometimes love is MESSSSSY, and this is definitely one of those times!
Rhett is dating Angela. Perfect, Polished, Country Club Angela. But Rhett has a secret - and gets a surprise. He had a drunken, one-night hookup with Abby, which resulted in Abby getting pregnant. And Abby? She is Angela’s rebellious, tattooed, black sheep sister. Rhett finds himself struggling to balance the pressure from Angela’s dad to propose (going so far as to take Rhett to a jewelry store, and plan the proposal himself), while hiding Abby and her pregnancy on the other side of town.
This was a short, forbidden story. It took me a while to warm up to Rhett. I didn’t like that he kept Abby as his dirty little secret for so long, (but I guess he did the best in a bad situation? IDK?) but he finally made the right decisions.
This wasn’t nearly as dark/forbidden as some other K Webster books I have read, but I did enjoy it. It was a fairly quick read (200 pages), but no actual spice until towards the end.
TW: Cheating, Love Triangle, Mention of previous SA, A-hole parents, See-You-Next-Tuesday Sister!
I beg your fucking pardon!? Is the protectiveness/jealousy in the room with us?
How could one of my fav gulity pleasure author ever created such a dumbass, pos character like Rhett? This mofo uttered some of the most vile things and still chose her sister to the end:
I’m pregnant.” I pause and when he doesn’t respond, I add, “You’re the father, Rhett.” He disconnects the call. Asshole.
“How do I know it’s mine?”
“Get rid of it,” I grit out. “I’ll pay for it. Hell, I’ll even take you to the appointment.” “I’m not killing our baby,” she says, voice shrill. “Are you insane?” Our baby. I’m going to throw up. “I don’t want our baby,” I snap as bile burns the back of my throat. “It’s a mistake just like that night in the pantry.”
"It was the worst mistake of my life.
Absolutely not. This is not the kind of hero I had waited for.
The way I loved these two together… Call me a sucker for a black sheep, but I absolutely adore Abby. How her sister is the ‘favored’ one, I will never know. Why anyone would want a vapid, heartless, mean girl character, I will never understand, but as far as I’m concerned, Rhett dodged a bullet. Abby is feisty, but she’s also sweet and caring and misunderstood. She’s also been let down so many times by the family who should have been there for her, including her jealous sister. Rhett thinks his country club life should look a certain way, and Abby doesn’t really fit that mold, but neither does his BFF Riko, who you should recognize from the Taboo Streets series. Rhett, at heart, is someone who wants to follow his gut, not his head, and his heart keeps leading him back to Abby. Watching them bond over preparing for their baby, and seeing how Rhett naturally gravitates toward Abby and cares for her, solidifies where he should be. Seeing their HEA come together made me smile especially knowing how far he had come from his own TS cameo days.
The Wrong Sister delivered on the taboo, forbidden, and angsty romance vibes you can usually expect from a K Webster novella.
Rhett had a drunken hook up with his girlfriend's sister, Abby. He has a plan for the perfect life with his vapid, socialite girlfriend, but that is all at risk when Abby ends up pregnant. He puts her into hiding in the place next door to his best friend. They spend more time together as they go through the pregnancy together and he is torn between the sisters.
I really enjoyed Abby's character, but it took me a while to warm up to Rhett. I couldn't buy into his obsession with having the perfect fake life with Abby's sister, Angela. She was a horrible human being. I did not love how cruel Abby's family was. Especially with how they treated her after her SA.
I still had a good time with this novella and it had some sweet moments. The epilogue was adorable.
I loved it!!! K Webster may be known for her dark, twisted, forbidden and taboo reads and although this may be forbidden, it was still sweet, emotional and a feel good read - eventually, because obviously we have to experience the angst first!!
The blurb tells you what happens, Rhett is with Angela, the hoity toity plastic sister and yet sleeps with the black sheep sister - oops! I did want to bang his head a few times at the start and it took him a while to grow a set but I still cheered for him! Abby may have been the wild, fun-loving party animal but it just goes to show, nothing is as it seems because that girl has had it tough and needs someone in her corner. Abby and Rhett just fit, it may have started as forbidden but it ends as destined and I loved them. And I loved that she's in Moonlit Gables, that is definitely a place I want to hang out in!!
