At first, when I started reading this book, I didn't think I would be able to finish it. It started with one of the lead characters finding out that she was dying and nothing could be done to save her. It showed a family clinging on to her so tight that she just felt that she needed to get away so she could just actually live with the time she had left.
Then, Michael, her brother's best friend that she had lived since was 16 showed up and she decided that she had to tell him how she lived him even if he didn't feel the same way; however, Michael had also been in love with her for years.
They get married that night, but afterwards, she has a seizure and forgets the last year of her life, including that she is dying.
Michael decides that he will let her actual enjoy what time she has left and has her family agree not to tell her she is dying.
She had written a bucket list at 16 years old of things she wanted to do before she turned 30 years old and Michael is determined to make them happen.
This is a story of hope, living life to the fullest and a great deep love between two people and a family. This book is about miracles happening time and time again when you don't give up, that there is no failure, except for the purple elephant kind. Even though I didn't know if I could finish this book I'm glad I did. This book is worthy of 10 stars.
It had promise, then fell off after that, quickly. It was very emotional at first, so I settled in for the ride. Well, it was a FMC who was going to die from a brain tumor, goes to Vegas sees her brother’s bff there because he knew she was there. He dumped his fiancé of convenience for her and then convinces FMC to marry him, which she does. But she has a seizure and can’t remember anything for the past year! So everyone decides to lie to her about it, by omission, and things carry on. Of course a miracle saves her and since he’s richer than king Midas they have the perfect ending…just felt too much for me not being as invested in the couple🤷♀️

I really liked this. Stumbled upon it while scrolling through Instagram. A quote from the book intrigued me / tricked me. It was a good read, a great pallet cleanser after reading Haunting and Hunting Adeline (which I loved - wish it was a little less dark dark dark spicy).
Please read, you will enjoy the FMC and MMC. There are love scenes but nothing explicit. It was nice, nothing I would hide my screen and could listen to on audio without being embarrassed.
This was so unexpectedly amazing, from start to finish. Its rare for me to wish for more stars to give, but this book deserves more than a measly five. It grips your emotions with laughter, anticipation, tears and a romance that warms you to the bone. I honestly don't want to give examples - its best to read it for yourself without spoilers. Clear your evening because you won't be able to stop reading.
Michael and Claudette are adorable. The love they have for each other was nice to see. His Grandfather was my favorite person! I love how protective Michael is of her and how everything he did was to protect and prove his love. This is a nice, heartfelt quick read. Interested in the rest of the series.
I'm just going to say if you don't want to cry don't read this book. I cried 75% of the book but it was worth the read. Loved the love story with Michael and Collette and the heartbreaking issue they endured. I can't wait to read the next book .
Claudette and Michael story was nice. The story was somewhat predictable but nice. I had a feeling from the moment I read about Claudette deadly illness that she would somehow survive.
This book will make you feel. This book will make you cry. It’s a story that’s about true love during the hard times. Every women wants to be loved the way Michael loves Skylar. This book will always have a special place in my heart.
Oh I can’t give this story enough stars. It is beautiful, I cried so much. I highly recommend this to everyone who loves a beautiful love story. The main characters are fabulous. I loved your work Cassidy. I’m now on to book two and it looks great. ❤️❤️❤️
If you need a good cry then this is your book. Their journey was so beautiful and heartbreaking. I was worried they wouldn’t get their HEA but love always wins at the end. I was upset they kept it from her but after learning her condition she faced it with grace.
Michael and Claudette’s love story was full of pain and want more time together. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ There was no spice just the close door style and a wonderful HEA.
This was a great series !! Claudette and Micheal’s story was very intense and emotional but so worth it !! This whole series had me reading all night I couldn’t put it down !!
This book was not bad, but I need books that are fast paced and this just didn’t feel that way for me. Other than that good story with an obvious ending and simple read.
Meh, it was okay. Can’t say I was too invested in any of the characters and there were lots of jump scenes and lack of connects to things but it was okay.
