I’m not okay!
Have Mercy was definitely the treat I needed! Mercy was my shero - a literal man eater who was able to go toe to toe with the best of them. This story had a darkness that piqued my curiosity and kept me engaged the entire story. It was forbidden, cinematic, action packed, full of tense moments and secrets galore. There were a few scenes that made me cringe because of the gore - I was like OH MY! 😬I really liked Caelus and the cat and mouse situations with Mercy - but please believe, the man was in love! It was everything seeing him challenge his own father. Speaking of father, the sadistic man wore me to shreds the whole book! Like, when I thought he couldn’t get worse, he took it there. 😩. Caelus and Mercy were two characters that were very unique; both were members of the Nocturne Directives, trained to unalive, dismantle threats and attack without a conscious. I really enjoy the writing style of Dominique Black because every book is so versatile and the stories are memorable. Very good story! Ends on a HFN!
