I saw the book. I bought the book. I opened he book. I read the book. I put the book down again.
I contemplated my life choices.
If you believe that the above writing style is a prime example of high quality writing then this book is for you !
Because that's exactly what you will get here.
I'm not even going to bother with the absolutely humongous plot holes or the fact that the last 30% of the book were completely unnecessary, made zero sense and weren't even in chronological order.
Also, ever heard of the "Emotional (Wound) Thesaurus" ? It's a tool meant to help writers create believable backstories and emotional motivations for their characters.
This author also used it, which would be a good thing normally. Only they managed to somehow fuck that up as well by directly quoting from it in one of the worst "show don't tell" failures you will ever see.
"The emotional wound thesaurus calls this 'xxx' " is a literal sentence that comes up in this book a dozen times. I can't even begin to describe how completely insane this is (and I don't mean the good insane).
Seriously, don't read this book. You will never get that time back.
