Lots of blocks in different sizes. The straight of grain is marked on all templates. This book is pre- rotary cutter or at least before they were common so there are templates for everything but they are easy to convert to rotary cutting directions.

Judy Martin has included suggested patterns for quilting the blocks.

There are small line drawings of each of the blocks to work out color schemes.

I especially liked the different log cabin blocks.
