What the actual f***? I read this in one sitting, it was so good. I am a fan of the podcast “Creepcast” and had to stop listening to the episode on this about twenty minutes in because I genuinely loved the writing and wanted to read it myself. I hadn’t for a while and then I saw it was being published as a book and I bought it! I was aware of the reputation this story has and had some vague idea about the ending, but it still messed me up. One thing this story does really well is it does a time skip effectively. Usually, I HATE time skips. But the idyllic, childhood section contrasts the dark rest of the story amazingly. The foreshadowing is brilliant too. A fantastic read, head and shoulders above a lot of internet creepy pastas!
Story still grips you, even after reading the creepy pasta long ago. I enjoy the writing, but dont remember the pacing being this fast. I am relieved the author didn't opt to include part 5 in the actual book.
