Crossroads

Daddy's Girl

Rate this book
Wychmere Lane was supposed to feel safe. Jess should’ve known better. Nothing stays safe in a house full of Walkers.

Dating Ben was meant to be the sensible choice.
Then I met his father.

Gage Walker was supposed to be Ben’s safety net, not the man who could undo me with a single look. I shouldn’t have wanted my boyfriend’s father. I shouldn’t have even thought about crossing that line.

But now that Ben and I are over, the line I swore I wouldn't touch is starting to look a lot like an invitation.

At first, everything seemed to be working in my favour… until Ricky Walker walked through the door. Gage’s brother. All charm, danger, and interest I had no business returning.

Turns out the Walkers don’t just share blood. They share appetites. And these men are famished.

As a recipient of an ARC I would like to thank and acknowledge Eleanor for sending me her book to read and review.

I can honestly say hand on heart....I binged this book! My kindle has been stuck to my hand from the minute I started reading it.

I loved how easy it was to start reading and understanding the characters, their backgrounds and history, you got a real look into each one of them.

Without giving too much away, you'll wonder why the 'why choose' isn't a more common and acceptable relationship, we can dream though lol.

Jess is the MFC
Ben is her boyfriend
Gage is Ben's Dad
Ricky is Ben's uncle

Throw a bit of spice in (or I really should say...a heap of spice) and it makes for a very rewarding situation, one that I fully sank my teeth into!

I 100% recommend this book to everyone and I'll be telling all my booktok buddies to get it once it's released.

Congratulations Eleanor 🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊

- Taboo
- Ex boyfriend’s dad and uncle romance
- Why choose
- Age gap
- Spice
- Possessive

Release date - April 1st 📅

“I like believing the world works like that, that every encounter and every wrong turn is nudging you toward something that matters later.”

Do you like a taboo romance..perhaps with your ex’s dad? That not enough? Maybe you want to chuck your ex’s uncle into the mix too? Eleanor’s got you😈

When I say I devoured this book, I literally read it within 24 hours and couldn’t put it down! I was so hooked into the story and really felt the connection with the characters. I have read all of Eleanor’s books and been lucky enough to be part of her ARC team, and I will always leave an honest review on any book but I genuinely cannot say a bad word about Eleanor’s stories/characters, she is gifted and literally one of the best. There is not one book you can read of hers that you won’t like and she caters for all, and I stand by that comment. When I need that escape from reality I can always count on Eleanor🫶🏼🖤

So we have our FMC Jess who is a tattoo artist/dancer who is living with her boyfriend Ben (soon to be ex) in his dads house. Jess isn’t happy in the relationship and Ben ends up going down a dangerous path and ends up leaving Jess in his home and Jess is none the wiser on where he is or if he’s safe and doesn’t hear off him.

Now we have one of our MMCs Gage who is Ben’s father. He’s the quiet man with a private edge and the protector. He is also in an unhappy relationship and ends up leaving Ben’s mother. With Ben and his mother out of the picture this is where Gage and Jess’ relationships blossoms. It’s intense, a slow burn and forbidden and they try to fight the feelings, the looks, the accidental touches that keeps edging😮‍💨

Now sometimes one is not enough and now I introduce to you Ricky, Gage’s brother😈 He’s the bad boy type that you can’t help but love and his wicked ways, and when he wants something he doesn’t stop until he’s got it! Ricky comes onto the scene and Gage owes him one from something in their past and Ricky is cashing in, not expecting to meet Jess alongside it. Ricky is the ultimate player but Jess plays just as well and gets check mate! There is a moment that I was laughing so much at and Jess definitely gives him a run for his money with the games😂 Ricky is out for petty revenge after that. But Ricky has his walls built up though as you learn through the story why, but can Jess bring them down?

Ben brings danger into all their lives so Gage and Ricky need to learn to share their toy and keep Jess safe, can they both find common ground to share and protect Jess?

20% in to the book I was already feeling the connection between Gage and Jess, and I was already routing and hoping they get together. They’ve both been dealt shit cards in life and deserve happiness. At the beginning Gage was my favourite - he’s tough when needed and soft when it matters and most definitely a dark horse, don’t let his soft ways fool you😏 He surprised me in all the right ways, and if he asked me to crawl to him I would say thank you 👀 I’ll leave that Easter egg there for you😉

But just when I thought Eleanor had wrote a why choose when I can actually choose a favourite she goes and throws Ricky into the mix, I was all for Gage at the beginning but Ricky got his claws stuck into me and I was putty in his hands, so I am yet to be able to choose a favourite but it’s a why choose so I don’t have too🤪

There is a new fun task shall we say that I haven’t read before, the pump scene! I’ll leave it at that and I know I’ve intrigued you enough up to this point, so make sure to get your copy!

I didn’t just read this — I inhaled it. From the first chapter, I was completely locked in, barely putting my Kindle down until I hit the final page.

The setup pulls you in fast. The characters are introduced in a way that feels natural and layered, so you quickly understand their histories, flaws, and motivations. Nothing feels surface-level; you’re dropped right into their complicated lives.

At the center is Jess — hardworking, stretched thin, and carrying more responsibility than anyone her age should. She juggles multiple jobs to stay afloat while her boyfriend, Ben, coasts through life with little ambition and even less awareness. When Ben’s father, Gage, and his uncle, Ricky, enter the picture more permanently, the entire dynamic shifts.

What unfolds is a slow, simmering unraveling of boundaries.

This isn’t an instant jump into chaos — it’s a gradual build. Lingering glances. Accidental touches. The heavy silence of “this shouldn’t be happening.” The tension inside that house becomes almost unbearable in the best way. Every interaction feels charged, and the anticipation is exquisite.

Jess’s personal life adds emotional weight to the story. Her home situation, especially concerning her young sister, is heartbreaking without feeling exploitative. The sensitive topics are handled with care, adding depth rather than shock value. Watching Gage step up in unexpected ways — creating safety and stability where there hasn’t been much — adds a tenderness that balances the heat.

And yes… there is a lot of heat.

When things finally tip over the edge, it’s intense, bold, and unapologetically spicy. This is very much a “why choose?” romance that makes you question why that dynamic isn’t more widely embraced in fiction. The chemistry between all parties feels intentional rather than gratuitous, and once the lines are crossed, there’s no looking back.

What I appreciated most is that the story doesn’t follow the exact path you think it will. Just when you assume you’ve figured out the direction, it pivots and keeps you on your toes. There’s angst, emotional vulnerability, and moments that will have you grinning one second and fanning yourself the next.

If this is only the beginning of the series, I’m all in. The foundation has been laid for something explosive in the next installment, and I already know I’ll be first in line.

For readers who enjoy slow-burn tension, morally complicated dynamics, high steam, and real emotional stakes — this one delivers. Just be sure to check content notes beforehand.

4.5 ⭐️

3.5/5 🌶️

I am super lucky to have been given this to read pre publication... and THANK YOU! This was sensational

We have 4 characters
Jess FMC
Ben (the boyfriend)
Gage (Bens dad)
Ricky (Gage's brother)

This was a slow burn, and a delicious one at that! The tension, the angst, the little touches and "we shouldn't..." oh my eyeballs were loving life!

Jess works as a tattoo artist and a club worker to help pay the rent. Ben is kinda a bum and does nothing to help her with his parent's house. She has a good night one evening with a group of workers in wanting a booth and extra dances.

Fast forward to Bens parents coming home, realising what a knob their son is and a separation between Gage and Bens mom, we are left with Gage and Jess in the house.... alone 😎

Jess's family home is awful. Her gorgeous little sister who is 4 is left with their mum who is also not that great at being a mum. So Gage and Jess try and have her as much as they can, with Gage transforming their spare room into a room for Jess's sister 🥹

Then suddenly Ricky rocks up at Gage's house cashing in an IOU and ends up staying there too.

The tension in this house becomes unbearable and it's was the best. Ricky doesn't want to keep his hands to himself, neither does Gage and neither does Jess... so only one thing for it... 🌶️

I am SO EXCITED for book 2

Jess is stuck in a dead end relationship with her boyfriend Ben who is unemployed, living in his parents house and drying out her savings. She works two jobs, she cleans, does the washing and funds his next new job idea. While he mooches off everyone around him and gets wasted.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Tropes include:
Age gap
MFM
Brothers
Ex’s dad & uncle
Forced proximity
Erotic dancer
Taboo
Protective / possessive
Spicy
Violence
Slow burn

Jess’ childhood mirrors her relationship and after Ben goes MIA she’s had enough.
Now she’s in a house with his dad, his uncle and enough push and pull tension to cut through with a knife.

Who doesn’t love a forbidden, age gap romance that has forced proximity, will they or won’t they vibes with brothers! Chapter 48! Talk about slow burn! The spice is off the charts!

Ricky & Gage have their own issues, past secrets and their personalities are complete opposites. What they have in common is Jess and how she brings out the best of themselves.

When danger comes knocking? The Walker brothers will stop at nothing to make sure she’s safe.

Highly recommend!

Thank you to Eleanor for allowing me to ARC read this book :)

Happy Reading

Book 1 in The Crossroads Trilogy

Ex-boyfriends Dad
Why Choose
Age Gap
Taboo/Forbidden

I've never read the ex-boyfriend's dad trope before, and whoa.. did I have fun with this one!
Eleanor's writing style just sings to me, and I haven't read a book of hers yet that I haven't just DEVOURED!
This one was no different! 🤌🔥
Jess the FMC is relatable, and I love how tough but sweet she is. She's protective of the people she cares about and does what she knows she has to do even if it hurts.
Gage is perfect for her. Strong, secure, protective, and grumpy (just how I like em 🤭). I enjoyed following their story as they navigated the ups and downs of their age gap and discovered more about each other through their struggles. And the spice, as always, NEVER disappoints!
Ricky irritated the sh!t outta me, though, but just like with Jess, he grew on me too. He has his own issues but is determined to work through them to be close to Jess, and I love that for him and her.
I definitely had fun with this story. Well written. Well paced. Loved the characters & as always, left me wanting more!

10/10 recommend! 👏👏👏

ARC-

5⭐️

As soon as I read the tropes I knew this was one I would love and had to apply for an arc. I was hooked on this one and found it hard to put down, after being in quite a slump before this it was sooo needed. I loved the chemistry between all these characters and the push and pull made the ending even more of a reward!

The spice was super hot and the taboo factor definitely added to that. There were toys used that I’ve never read about before so it was a good sexy toy lesson in there too! I love why choose book spice and the sharing was perfect in this 👏.

Ex boyfriend’s dad is one of my favourite tropes but adding the uncle into the mix may have made this my new favourite. Both the men have their own qualities and play off each other which I love, however they’re both protective over the fmc and we all love a man obsessed. This book is quite centred around the spice and tension so the plot didn’t really kick in till later in the book but I still enjoyed the plot and danger the asshole was bringing home for everyone.

Daddy’s Girl by Eleanor Crowe is book 1 in
The Crossroads Trilogy
Release date: 1st April 2026

Jess our FMC is stuck in a dead end relationship with her boyfriend Ben until he disappears leaving her living in his family home with his dad Gage. What starts as stolen looks and forbidden tension quickly turns into a delicious slow burn.

I loved the banter between Jess and her bestie Maddie, Maddies response to the situation being “save a son, ride his dad” 😂😂

Then enter Ricky , Gage’s cocky bad-boy brother. The tension between Ricky & Jess is wild and let’s just say that Jess is well able to handle him..

While this book has a lot of smut we also have plot with Jess’s chaotic home life, the relationship between her and her younger sister and the danger Ben leaves behind!!

If you love a taboo, why-choose, spicy as hell romance with protective MMC’s, you need to add this to your TBR asap!

ARC Review

This book was giving me vibes of Birthday Girl and Older combined. Maybe throw a little Credence in there with keeping things in the family 🤪 This is a very spicy why choose, age gap book but I loved that it actually had a great storyline to it. There was so much going on throughout the story with Jess and her life between Ben, work, her mom and sister. Throwing Gage (Ben’s dad) and then later on Ricky (Ben’s uncle) in was just a hot bonus. I felt the chemistry right away between Gage and Jess. And I really enjoyed their connection and relationship but I kind of feel like Ricky stole the show for me. He knew what he wanted from the beginning and he wasn’t afraid to say it. It took Gage a little bit longer to be on that same page of being open about everything with Jess and I think that’s why I loved Ricky so much more. This is my first book be Eleanor Crowe and it did not disappoint. I can’t wait to see what book 2 will be like!

Daddy's Girl is the first book from Eleanor Crowe that I have read, and I wasn't disappointed. It's a taboo book filled with drama, pain, getting your happiness late in life, being your true self, lots of spicy moments and two sexy ass men and their bad ass woman.

Gage is the calm and easy guy while his brother Ricky is the flirty bad boy with lots of tattoos and bad history. Jess is a hardworking woman, who will do anything for the people she loves, even when it makes her unhappy (luckily not for long). Their story is worth reading if you're into bondage, sex toys, age gap, anal, double penetration, some spanking and why choose between two hot and dirty men.

Even though the title has daddy in it, there's no daddy dom or any point where she calls them daddy, so if you're looking for that, this will disappoint you.

Read as part of the authors ARC team.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS. I binged this entire book in less than 24 hours! I was reading this book with pure anticipation. From reading the blurb I knew roughly what was going to happen but not knowing when/who/where was gripping at me throughout the first part of the book. I loved Jess’ confident and devilish ways with Ricky and then switch that up to pure lust/yearning for Gage it was the perfect combination.

I found myself constantly switching between feeling sorry for the two MMC’s as you got the know them better and their own internal battles and how they was handling the situation with Jess. By the end I was team BOTH 😂

The spice was spicing, I was the perfect amount of spicy vs plot. By the end of the book I was left wanting the next book! 5/5

I was chosen to be an arc reader for Daddy's Girl, and boy was I chuffed. First time being an arc reader and it may just spoil any other!
I love a book with spice, I'd almost go to the point of saying if it's closed door, I won't read it. But this is 100% NOT closed door. I'd say spice level is 4*/5*, with it getting spicer as the story gets on.
Without giving too much away, our FMC (Jess), falls for her (ex) boyfs dad, and then when the uncle shows up, boy it gets steamy.
But actually, it has a great story line too. I was trying to guess what would happen next and loved the twists in it.
I'd love to hear more about Maddie, and I definitely need to know more about the new neighbours!!
Thanks Eleanor for letting me read this as a arc reader and I can't wait for the next book!

What better way to get over your useless ex boyfriend than to fall for not only his dad but also his dads brother!!

Jess our FMC is working two jobs to keep herself and her boyfriend above water when his parents decide to return home to the house they’re staying in.

Gage (Ben’s dad) is every bit of a grumpy, stubborn man, but once he learns how his son is treating Jess and the path he is going down he has no choice but to step in!

Then we meet Ricky, Gage’s slightly younger brother, he is cocky and has a serious attitude who at first only wants Jess just to stir his brother.

I can’t say anymore without spoiling it, but If you love why choose with plot, spice and a dash of chaos you’re going to love this!

Big thank you to the author for the free ARC in exchange for an honest review!

More complex than I anticipated, but slow at the beginning.

Honestly, I wasn't very thrilled at the beginning. It took a bit longer for the story to start, and I felt like the author was waffling for a bit there. Though I have to give props, I like that it is more than just a smutty book, as there is an actual story, emotions and navigating toxic relationship, as well as a new polyamorous one.

I do feel the beggining of the book could have been more engaging and from the blurb, I expected the three of them to get together much sooner (spoiler alert; it took most of the book while they figured it out). I'm still not sure if I love that the smutty scenes weren't rushed for the sake of the story, or annoyed that it took so long for everything to get settled.

Richie seems so aggravating, and I think I might hate him. I'm definitely not sure what Jess sees in him. Gage, on the other hand, might be a bit too serious, and should learn to relax (though I get it, what with his ex and his son, he kind of had to become like that). Ben's story is confusing. Both Jess and Gage keep saying he hasn't always been like that, and they don't know what happened, but maybe if we could see that instead of it being told to us - maybe in like a prologue with background information on his and Jess' relationship.

I do have to say, the scene where Jess ties Richie up and just leaves him there, it was pure gold. I laughed so hard actual tears were streaking down my face.

Overall, very good book with a good amount of spice. I give it 2.5 for spiciness and 4.25 stars overall rating.

I really enjoyed reading daddy’s girl! It’s a naughty book, it’s slow burn and it’s suspenseful!!
I hated one of the characters but the two MMC’s made up for that lol
While this book holds spice it also has heart wrenching moments and does touch a sensitive topic and my heart hurt for Jess.
As I said it’s slow burn and I was itching for the moment it all went down, but I can safely say it was worth the wait 😮‍💨The two MMC’s are so different from each other offering something for everyone 👹
I cannot wait for the next book in the crossroads trilogy!

When you agree to ARC read a taboo romance.

Yes please and thank you.

Devoured in 24hrs and loved every minute. Plot yes 👌🏻and just when you think you know the direction it’s going in, sit back and just enjoy the ride.

This book will have you kicking your feet with glee for the quote moments“ Crawl to me” and blushing for the one handed read chapters 🥵🥵

Check your trigger warnings as this has sensitive subjects included. Not gloried just real and has you feeling for the characters.

If this is the started of the trilogy I can’t wait for book two.

As always a massive thank you to Eleanor for another fantastic read and for what I think might be a reread series.

If you enjoyed Birthday Girl but wanted it to be a “why choose” with more spice than this is your dream come true!

This is an ex-boyfriends dad and uncle scenario that will have you questioning your morals but also staying awake to read more. The spice in this book is top notch and the story line is just engaging enough to keep you hooked.

Gage Walker is giving Pike Lawson vibes while Ricky is a walking red flag that you should avoid but can’t help but drool over. And together? My lord they are perfection.

If you love all things smutty, why choose and/or age gap - this is a MUST read 🖤

This is a taboo romance (ex's dad) - check tropes if you're not sure.

Jess, our FMC, is a tattoo artist and dancer, who finds Gage, one of her MMCs, who is her ex's father. Both have recently left their relationships, and there's a bit of a slow burn with them trying not to admit to their feelings.

Then add in Gage's brother, Ricky, who's a bad boy who brings the chaos. This is a why choose, so Gage and Ricky need to learn to share their new 'forbidden' girl.

This was pure fun with plenty of tension and spice. I enjoyed the surprises throughout and I'm excited for the rest of this series.

I Loved This Book!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you love dark romance with a lot!! of spice you have come to the right place, because you won’t be disappointed.

I don’t want to give too much away because you need to dive into this book and let Gage & Ricky lead the way.

Jess is a strong independent woman who has been through a lot but finally knows her self worth because of Gage.

Gage is just perfection an older man who is protective and knows how to look after what is his.
You are rooting for him because he is such a nice guy and deserves to have his happily ever after.
And what he can do with his hands… he creates some very special items for his very important girls.

Someone else who is good with his hands and he knows it is Ricky. He hits this book with a bang.. literally 😂 He is very self assured and knows what he wants and he has his eyes firmly set on Jess. The mask does slip and you do get to see a softer side which is protective and loving.

4.5 ⭐. Eleanor never fails and I absolutely loved the ride this took me on!
The tension was absolutely scorching between Jess & Gage! I loved the build up and the slow burn because it was all the hotter when it happened! Throw Gage's brother Ricky in the mix and it's a party! 😏
I loved this book! It was amazingly written as always, I lose myself in the way Eleanor writes and nothing is ever as it seems in her books because there's always unexpected twists and turns. It was smoking hot and I was rooting for Jess all the way to get her men! ❤️

Ex boyfriend’s dad and uncle? Yes please! This book follows Jess who has a deadbeat boyfriend, and when his dad moves back in, followed by his uncle, things heat up quick 🤭 I loved this book, Gage and Ricky are absolute opposites but compliment each other so well…Gage is the steady safe one and Ricky the reckless bad boy. With plenty of heat you also get enough plot to break it up, nothing overly deep but it definitely kept me hooked.

Im excited to see what else comes from this trilogy!

Loved this book. Very taboo book about son’s dad and brother. This book had some dark elements to the book that can be triggering for some. I love this author but definitely more on the lighter side than her other books which were darker. The female character Jess is someone who is in a very toxic relationship with Ben. I absolutely hate Ben and I think he got what he deserves in the end which I was happy about. Well Gage and Ricky are brothers and polar opposites from each other but they care about each other in their own way. Such a good book and loved the character development.

I was actually pleasantly surprised reading this book! I will admit I was a bit thrown off by the title and cover thinking it would be cheesy smut only but it actually has a great story!

I like the characters and their development throughout. I definitely would have liked to know more about Ricky and his issues and same with Ben. But overall I would recommend to others and I look forward to the next book
