This book didn’t walk in — it stormed in like a family reunion hosted by the Mafia and said “buckle up, sweetheart.”

This story is dark‑family‑drama crack, the kind where every chapter feels like someone’s about to throw a punch, confess a secret, or emotionally combust. Nicole Craig built this thing like a countdown to disaster, and honestly? I respect the chaos.

We’ve got:
One missing brother (the emotional equivalent of a loose grenade)
Two fugitives who absolutely do not have the chill required for hiding
Three estranged crime‑lord brothers who need therapy, not guns
Four years of chasing a criminal organisation that refuses to die
Five orphaned kids who deserve better than literally everyone in this book
Six men whose revenge issues could power a small city

It’s messy.
It’s violent.
It’s family drama with a body count.

The tension? Chef’s kiss.
The betrayals? Spicy.
The emotional damage? Premium grade.

Craig nails that “we love each other but also we might kill each other” sibling energy. Every scene feels like a group chat where someone typed “we need to talk” and then disappeared for six hours.

And the emotional beats hit — grief, guilt, loyalty, revenge, all tangled up like a Christmas light string no one bothered to untangle for four years. When things finally explode, it feels earned. Messy, but earned.

You land at 4.5 stars because it’s gripping, layered, and full of that deliciously unhinged family‑crime tension. The only reason it’s not a full five is because there are a LOT of moving parts, and occasionally you want name tags and a flowchart. But honestly? The chaos is half the fun.

A violent, emotional, revenge‑soaked family saga where justice, blood, and loyalty collide — and nobody walks away clean, but wow is it satisfying to watch.

All along through this series, I figured Steel was the one who was going to steal my heart the most- no pun intended. And I was right! He has always been the silent and stoic one that quietly urged the others to take their chances at happiness, so I was betting underneath that calm exterior was a storm of emotion, and I am ecstatic to see I was right. What a traumatic and heartbreaking past lay behind him, but what a second chance offered up with Daleyza. Daleyza was the epitome of perfect for him. I still laugh thinking of their bickering and fighting in Spanish that had a certain team member begging for subtitles, but the love and passion and loyalty was out of the park between them as well. So much emotion between them, and I loved how the rest of Tribe didn't hesitate to fight beside her as well. Found family to the core, willing to sacrfice so much, which was heartbreaking in it's own right. And some shocking revelations were unearthed during all the danger and suspense - the way all the things connected was crazy. But Tribe gets their HEAs and that was a chef's kiss ending to the series.

Wow ! There’s so much going on ! From the cover to what’s between the pages had me on tenterhooks 🫣😮

You’ve got to read the previous books though 🥰📚

We’ve got people on the run , a missing person , a criminal organisation being hunted down , orphaned children needing justice and 6 delectable men seeking revenge #whatalotigot#

Steel might be the quiet one of the family but don’t underestimate him . Steel and his wife Daleyza went on the run from their families but now they’ve got to fine together to save the one that saved them and gave them their chance …. Both these people have suffered tremendously and they deserve to find their way back to each other and at a stage you think the hurt runs to deep but love yet again conquers all but what a journey to get there , my nerves and heart is shredded !

All good things come to an end and more often that not something new comes from what has passed, my fingers are crossed that this is the case 😉

Long Enough (The Deadman's Tribe) by Nicole Craig.
5 of 5 Stars.

This is another fast paced and action packed Deadman’s Tribe romantic suspense story. I would recommend reading the previous books as the characters and storyline do crossover. This is a second chance at love for Steel and his estranged wife Daleyza. The storyline includes two fugitives on the run, a missing brother, three estranged brothers who are the head of a criminal empire, six men seeking revenge, and five orphaned children needing justice. I was gripped throughout by this real page turner. The blurb says, “The time has come for it all to end”, but I am sad that this exciting series has come to an end. The mix of danger, drama, and suspense, along with plenty of chemistry between Steel and Daleyza, kept me happily reading way past my bedtime!

"Long Enough" is the 6th and final book in The Deadman's Tribe series, and that makes me sad, as I have enjoyed every single book in the series. This one was another great installment, focusing on Steel this time.
Steel, ex-SEAL and illegitimate son of a cartel boss, who managed to get away from the cartel with his wife, Daleyza. Their marriage was arranged to enforce ties between cartel families, with neither having a choice in the matter, but they soon found a passion for each other before tragedy disrupted their lives. Now, circumstances have provided them with a second chance, but they must be brave enough to admit their true feelings while also confronting the cartel and the shadowy criminal organisation known as The Saleri.
There is action aplenty, in and out of the bedroom, as the Tribe races to save several of their members from harm, but also a lot of emotion.

Steel has kept a secret close to his chest, his marriage to Daleyza. For Daleyza she thinks he died, her sorrow has held strong. When she finds out he is alive, she finds he has been working with a group to take down the Soleri. Can he bring Daleyza into his fold and perhaps find a second chance together.

The story begins with a bang, pedal to the metal fast paced suspense. I enjoyed this, so many facets to the book. You begin to think the story is going one way only to have a twist thrown in. Action packed.

Steel is one of The Tribe.
Daleyza is steel’s wife .

Steel and Daleyza have a past of being forced into an arranged marriage to unite two criminal organizations.
Steel is a stoic and hardened man do to his past upbringing. And Daleyza has suffered thru deep loss.
They finally are reunited and you see the emotional toll it has taken on both Steel and Daleyza.
Can they overcome the obstacles of their past with the help of the tribe and have a Happily Ever After?

The book has edge of your seat suspense, danger, with twists and turns that you do not expect.

Excellent Job. Nicole Craig !!!!

The final piece of this series did not disappoint. Steel and Daleyza book is a high-energy rollercoaster ride of thrills, chills, romance and emotion. Whether your pulse is racing, your heart is breaking or you find yourself short of breath, this story definitely has you firmly in its tight grasp and deeply up into your Feels.

Steel has been holding on to a secret that not even Tribe knew about. And that secret is about to come out. The Soleri, an ancient cult, is behind the trafficking Tribe has been tracking. Working with the Soleri is Steel’s own family, as well as his wife’s family. Together, they travel back to her childhood home to put an end to it all. This was another exciting Deadman’s Tribe book, but it is the last in this series, or so I think. Great book and series, but I’m sad to finish it.

What a perfect ending to an amazing series. I’m in awe of how Nicole writes the characters in these books, and Steele and Leeza are no exception. It’s beautiful to read stories in which people with such tragic pasts have such hopeful futures - and it takes a special author to bring that together in a way where it doesn’t feel cheesy or forced. Nicole is that special author. I can’t wait to continue reading books in this universe- bravo, Nicole. Congrats on finishing the Tribe’s tales.

Awesome!

I know this isn’t the end, just a different continuation of a new series! I hope anyway! I totally love both groups and all that we read about them! You will never be disappointed by Nicole Craig!

Long Enough is the sixth book in The Deadman’s Tribe series by Nicole Craig. This was a bit of a bitter-sweet read for me as I really wanted Steel and Daleyza’s story, but knowing that this was also the final book in the series made me want to savour it, linger in the story, and make it last longer …. But I should have known better, as Ms. Craig did what she always does with each new instalment, by upping the ante and plunging me into a story that snared me and was more like stepping into a high-octane action movie… only with more heart, more heat, and maybe a few more bullets flying past your head. So, there was no slowing down this read – I just hung on for the ride, as Ms. Craig saved the best for last.
As with the other instalments in this series, this is a tense romantic suspense with action, emotion, dramatic developments, danger, mystery, violence, adventure, intrigue, a twisty plot, chemistry, sizzle, tension, and complex characters.
I highly recommend reading the previous books before diving into this one, because even though each book focuses on a different couple, there is interconnected details, a recurring cast, and an overarching storyline that builds with each new instalment – which I think you should know in order to get the full impact of this engrossing series.
Over the course of the series, everything now comes to a head – with a quest for justice, a large serve of revenge on the menu, danger, and a side of chaos – added to the passionate, romantic, second-chance love story that played out amongst it all – made for an unputdownable read!
I don’t know what Ms. Craig has planned for us next, but whatever it is it is bound to be good, and I am down for it all.
Happy Reading…

Steel’s past was both devastating and heart breaking, making his journey compelling but with his wife Daleyza, Steel was given a second chance. Their constant bickering and fiery exchanges in Spanish was engaging and draws you in to there dynamic. Beneath all that banter, though, was an undeniable bond filled with love, passion, and unwavering loyalty.

The emotional depth of their relationship adds an added element to the story and fully engages you into the world. The rest of Tribe immediately rallied beside Daleyza when it comes to the action and show the strength and loyalty they have through all the books in this series.

I think the family dynamic was at the heart of the story, with everyone willing to sacrifice so much for one another—a devotion that was both inspiring and heart-breaking.

I have read all of this series and the underlying theme is loyalty and creation of love through chosen family, which also feel a part of when delving into this world. The story is face paced, with the thrills and twists which have you turning pages and nothing short of taking you on a thrilling ride.

I'm am sad that we will not be in this world again but it has been great to be on the journey.

This story is part of a series that I have enjoyed reading from the first story I picked up. I highly suggest reading all the previous stories in this series to help your enjoyment of this author’s writing skills. This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up as I know what I am in for. I enjoy this author’s creative characters that are written with a lot of heart and soul. I also enjoy their use of details that make this story pop off the pages. This is a story about a missing brother, fugitives on the run and revenge. This is a romance story that has some suspense added to it. The characters are well developed and made me want to know more about what would happen to them. I enjoyed not only watching the growth of the story but also the characters which made the story entertaining to read. This is a fast paced, engaging, and hard to put down story that kept me turning pages to the end. I look forward to seeing what is next for this author. I highly recommend this story.

Long Enough by Nicole Craig is the 6th book in the Dead Man’s Tribe series, and it does not disappoint. This installment focuses on Steel, the quiet, focused member of the tribe, but Steel has secrets. When Steel calls on the tribe to help him, he reveals that he is married. The tribe is shocked, and so is his wife, who believed he was dead. Steel and his wife, Daleyza, have to face their estranged criminal families to rescue one of the tribe, who sacrificed himself so they could escape. This book is about second chances and forgiveness. With that said, this installment is just as action-packed and exciting as the rest of the series. While it can be read as a standalone, reading the other books in the series. There are overarching stories and histories for each of the other members of the tribe, and all the stories are intertwined. I highly recommend this series. It has something for everyone.

So my heart is sad as we have come full circle with this Tribe. It is hard to say goodbye. I enjoyed this one as much as the first in the series. The depth of all of these characters is what makes them so lovable. Steel’s story is full of heartbreak and redemption. I ached for him as the same time I was elated finding out about his secret past. His lady is the perfect compliment to him. All of these characters (meaning all of Tribe and Mythos) play into the whole story with him and his lady. The action is intense as they fight the Saleri close to home. This has a satisfying conclusion and it is a well thought out finale. I am happy all these guys found what they didn't know they were looking for while also a little sad it's over.

I read the acknowledgements and I loved the nod in “The One”. Good to know a fellow crawler :)

Part of me didn’t want to read this book, because I didn’t want the series to be over. The other part of me knew, it’d be an amazing read and I would regret passing it over. Both things are true. Just like the others in this series, you can read it as a standalone and be just fine. However, I would recommend the entire series, because they are each amazing.
Finally getting to know more about Steel was great. Seeing how the team continues to interact and care about one another, as their relationships have changed and more people have been brought in just goes to show that family is often chosen and not only by blood. Daleyza is wonderful and I felt like she brought out parts of Steel that I had been waiting to see.
I really enjoy Nicole Craig’s books and plan to read more because each of them has been absolutely wonderful.

Yep, another book by this author that had me totally hooked in. Nothing better than a second chance story that takes you apart and then carefully puts you back together. Steel is stoic and emotionally checked from his upbringing. Daleyza has persevered through deep loss. Reunited with the man she thought lost was so full of vulnerability mixed with glimpses of hope. Loved her strength, loyalty, feistiness and warrior queen moments. Steel’s inner growth was full of heart. Alongside their emotional journey, there's a thrilling suspense plot, team camaraderie, passion, humorous banter, and edge of your seat moments that kept me turning the pages well into the night. Saying goodbye to a series is always tough but I cannot wait to see where we go next with this talented writer.

Love lost and love found. This is a wonderful second chance romance featuring Steel and Deleysa.

Steel is the strong, silent member of the Dead Man’[s Tribe. His hurts run deep and he focuses on his work. Steel and Deleysa meet up again after many years and the walls start to come down for both.

This is a great final chapter to the Dead Man’s Tribe series. We see how the team is doing with all the changes in their “family” including partners and children! It includes the “no holds barred” sex and saucy language found in the earlier books in this series.

If you like strong, alpha heroes, with women who match them in strength and courage, this is the book for you.

There is a possibility for a second chance at love.

Long enough is the sixth book in the deadmans tribe series. While it is someone else's story, I highly recommend reading the other books first. Not having all the history of the other peoples story did affect my enjoyment of this book, especially in the beginning. If you are someone who doesn't need the other stories in the series to enjoy a story, then go for it without reading the other books first.

That being said, this is a second chance romance. The story is well written. It has action, suspense, twists, and character depth.

Even though I wasn't able to enjoy this story to the fullest, I did enjoy the author's writing style and will most likely be starting the series from the first book and then rereading this one.

Long Enough was my first trip into the Deadman's Tribe world, and now I'm kicking myself for not starting at book one.
Nicole Craig does a great job of pulling readers into the story, even if they haven't read the previous books. The suspense kept me engaged, the characters were easy to connect with, and there was enough emotional depth to make me care about what happened to them. More than once, I found myself wondering about the events that brought these characters to this point.
By the time I finished, I wasn't just satisfied with this story, I was curious about everything I'd missed along the way. That's always a good sign. Any book that sends me looking for the rest of the series has done something right.

I'm a sucker for a good book and Nicole Craig knows how to write a really good one!!! This is the sixth book in the Deadman's Tribe Series. While you can read this one by itself, I think in order to get the best experience, that the whole series needs to be read. You get Steele's story here. He's always been the strong silent type in my opinion. And Daleyza's character is such a strong person with so much sacrifice. I don't want to give anything away as I think it's best to go into this story blind without any spoilers but I will say that there's a serious surprise when it comes to this story (at least I was surprised). There's so much suspense and it's such a fast paced story but the ride was so worth it!!! The funny banter is great too. I definitely recommend you read this!

As the final book in the series, I was excited to start reading this one but I knew, before I picked it up, that I really wouldn’t want it to end. As expected, I was pulled straight into the story, in particular the characters who fell in love with immediately. They were not only the perfect way to end this series but they were absolutely perfect for each other. Their connection, their chemistry was so good to read about, I found myself engaging with them with ease.
The story is everything I have come to expect from this series, and this author. It was a gripping read from start to finish – fast paced, exciting. It is the kind of book that you can’t put down because you have to know what is going to happen next. This was a brilliant book that I loved from page 1.

Long Enough (The Deadman's Tribe Book 6)

I have followed this series from the very beginning and have love each of the guys for a variety of reasons, though I still think Nemo is my favorite of them all. His humor was just obnoxious enough for me to love.

Steel's story is quite heartbreaking. We finally get to truly know how and all of the secrets he has been hiding over the years.

All of the storylines are tied up neatly and for once I don't have questions about the guys. Ms. Craig did a superb job cleaning up.

I have already started her 2nd series and looking forward to the next book and anything else she writes.

I recommend you getting started on this series sooner rather than later.

Great book really! I enjoyed the complicated relationship between Steel and Daleyza and how they make it back to each other.

With a history of being bought up in the Cartel but escaped, Steel is found and bribed to come back when his wife Daleyza and mother are put at risk.

Complex and dangerous, suspense and drama rock this romantic suspense book. Daleyza is volatile and fiesty and Steel knows he has a lot to make up for. But their fire in the relationship is still there.

So well done. It took a moment to get into few story but soon was involved and loving it. Great book!!

Steel, we know he's the one that keeps his emotions in check and often never shows any. What we didn't know is his story. I knew that it was going to be a good one, but I didn't have any clue how much emotion was going to be in this one! If child loss is trigger for you for this one might be a little sensitive. Steel finally gets a HEA and we get to understand what made him into the man we know. Timing is everything and getting a second chance at love is perfection. Steel needed a strong woman to keep him in check, and he met his match a long time ago! The way this team pulled together to protect their own is what found family is all about, but it also breaks your heart a little.

I knew Steel’s story would be good, but I wasn’t prepared for the sheer amount of emotion in this one. As the stoic, guarded member of the team, seeing his walls finally crumble for a second chance at love was incredibly moving. Daleyza is a true warrior queen—strong, feisty, and the perfect match to keep him in check.

Their journey from deep loss to a hard-won HEA is beautifully written, blending heartbreaking vulnerability with edge-of-your-seat suspense. The "found family" camaraderie is as strong as ever, though it definitely tugs at the heartstrings. I’m sad to say goodbye to this series, but this was a phenomenal way to wrap it up. Total page-turner!

This is the sixth book in this series and just as good as the rest of the books. This can be read as a standalone but it is my suggestion that you read them all so you have more backstories of the characters that are all intertwined. This book is full of action, danger, suspense, romance, great characters, twists and turns. This book kept me turning pages and going through so many emotions. I didn't want to put it down once I started, because the author drew me in with creating such a great story. I have loved every book I have read by this author and I can't wait to see what's in store for us next. I highly recommend this book.

Long Enough was an intense and emotionally charged thriller that kept me hooked from start to finish. Even with the short synopsis, the story delivered a strong sense of urgency, revenge, and high stakes that made it hard to put down. I really enjoyed the complicated family dynamics and the way the different characters’ paths seemed to collide in such a dramatic way. The pacing felt fast and cinematic, with plenty of suspense and tension throughout, but there were also emotional moments that gave the story extra depth. Overall, it was a gripping read with action, mystery, and just the right amount of emotional payoff.

Steel and Deleysa

I loved this book! I had been in a book hangover and this sparked my reading again. Steel knew Deleysa so well, even after 10 years, he was able to tell the team what to expect from her. After a tragic loss, Steel kept watch on his wife and mother from a distance until the past came back to haunt them. Leeza is no slouch and she fits right in with the team as she helps them, thanks to Steel teaching her while he was undercover at his father compound. Full of adventure and great banter, this book pleased my military-style romantic heart.
