Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him, Isaiah 30:18.
After experiencing a blind betrayal, Judiah Walters returns to his hometown of Virginia to start over. He planned to keep his focus on his family and his healing, but when he’s sent to pick up cupcakes, a chance encounter shifts everything.
Bellami Bennett isn’t looking for love. Between running her family’s bakery and navigating an ocean of grief, she’s learned how to keep busy to escape reality. Though her faith has always anchored her, finding the patience to allow God to heal her has proven harder than she expected.
Through grief and growth, Judiah and Bellami discover that God’s silence isn’t absence but preparation. A Love Worth Waiting For is a heartfelt story of patience and the kind of love that only comes when you seek the Kingdom first and trust God to add the rest.
I first want to congratulate Shari on converting from an urban author to a Christian author. Recently, the Holy Spirit spoke to me and told me to stop reading non Christian books so I’m very excited that we’re on this journey together. This book was very inspirational, encouraging, and uplifting and I really enjoyed reading about Judiah and Bellami’s love journey while not compromising following the Word of God. The prayers and scriptures were really on point and showed Shari’s love for Jesus Christ. I like the fact that they set boundaries that they didn’t cross so they wouldn’t fall into temptation. Judiah and Bellami first started off as friends getting to know one another before they actually started dating which Loren was so jealous of. I so liked when Bellami told Loren that even if Judiah and her wasn’t dating that it still wouldn’t have been her because Judiah wasn’t willing to compromise his relationship with God anymore like he did with Sade. Janelle was that “Bout It Bout It” Christian that wasn’t shy about using them hands and I really feel like Bellami, Shay, nor Janelle should’ve went to that party knowing that they were in a weird place with Loren. I liked the strong bond and sisterhood that Janelle, Shay, and Bellami had. I liked Josiah, Shay, and Joi together and that Joi’s heart condition was managed and didn’t stop her from being an active little girl. I hope we get another book from this crew with Janelle husband finding her.
This story really makes you believe in the power of patience and prayer. Bellami had suffered a loss that would break anyone’s spirit and keep them closed off. She still wakes up and gets through it showing up for her ppl and herself. Judiah was just what she needed and I’m glad he took his time and was attentive and patient with her. They definitely are the definition of what God is like when you follow his word and heed his warnings to wait on the person he has for you. Janelle and Shayla were definitely the best friends she could ever have now that darn Lo was an enemy masquerading as a friend and I’m glad Bell finally saw it clearly. This was a great introduction to the Christian genre for me and I will definitely be reading more. Wanna know all of what this story had to offer pick up good amazing read by my boo Shari B. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
I am so in love with this book! Truly, if someone wanted to write my story, it would probably feel a lot like this. I felt incredibly seen while reading it. Every page resonated in such a real and honest way.
Thank you for writing something so beautifully vulnerable. My grief has been especially heavy lately, and this book honestly opened the floodgates for me (in the best way). It allowed me to sit with emotions I didn’t even realize I had been holding in.
The writing is beautiful, thoughtful, and deeply moving. I especially appreciated how naturally and powerfully faith is woven throughout the story. It felt genuine, comforting, and grounding.
This is the kind of book you could easily finish in a day, but I intentionally stretched it out because I didn’t want it to end. That’s how special it is. And it has the “Daughter of the King” starter kit lol.
This book was amazing. Shari you did your thing with this book. I am so happy you said yes to God. This book was everything I needed in my walk with God. You open my eyes to everything that I have been praying for from God in terms of finding a God fearing man. Now I have to go back to God because I have to tell him sorry I am patiently waiting for him to assign me my person like Ju waited for Bell. Amazing love story it was worth the wait. You have to know what you want from in a man or woman and make intentional dates. I love the way Ju listened to Bell he knew what she needed and when she needed it. God is funny like that both of their exes winded up with each other. Amazing book 20/10.
I thoroughly appreciated this book. The narrator delivered an outstanding performance, bringing the characters to life with remarkable realism. The narrative and the execution of the story were captivating, offering a fresh perspective on life, along with inspiration, hope, and faith. This book illustrated God's love, the consequences of sin, the strength of forgiveness, and the reality of moving forward. The writing is well-crafted, occasionally humorous, and concludes with a beautiful fairy-tale ending!
Shari B, what a great read. Thank you for following the path. I enjoyed seeing faith over fear, I enjoyed seeing unhappiness and sorrow become joyful and trusting. True love when we realize God is our everything. Although we are human we move differently with God in the front of us. You already know I would love to see Janelle journey. I'm just saying. Great job!!! 🤗🤗👍👍👍
I love how spiritual both were an wanted each other the right way... I cant believe the hating friend like she was a joke an Belliami should have gave her a peice of her mind but I understand she was trying to be Godly but baby Loren needed them hands lol.... I love how the the other friends was really true friends to Bellami... I love ju an joi relationship so cute...
I loved everything about this book. The characters were realistic, the language wasn’t corny, the storyline was bland and hokey, and God got the glory. It wasn’t preachy. It allowed one to see that receiving God doesn’t mean there won’t be trials, but tjat God will be with you through them and you’ll be stronger once you go through. I look forward to reading more from this author. She gained a fan in me
Such an inspiring read. I cried reading and that let me know the author did her thang. The way Ju let God use him to do right for all the right reasons to get the woman that was made for him. Bell busied herself and her patience was key. We all need a Judiah in our lives. A GOD FEARING MAN/LEADER
This is a beautiful story of God's timing. It deals with grief, jealousy, love, and relationships. It shows what happens when you have a good foundation built on Jesus and staying in alignment with Him. It makes you laugh, cry, and join in with gathering someone together. I love the family unity and sense of community throughout. I enjoyed this story and I recommend that you read it too.
I really enjoyed reading something about God without profanity and sex every five pages!! We still have some good males and females that believe in following God’s word and this story was a great example of a true Believer as well as strong faith!! Keep them coming!! 😊
I enjoyed the book from beginning to end. As a matter of fact, I wish I could have given it more stars. Continue writing on this new path you're walking. I'm from the 804 so many places/locations I'm very familiar with. Great job!!
This was a really good book so glad bellemi was able ro find Judith and he gave her what she needed in life especially since she lost her parents he was really a awesome guy for her from beginning to the end
Great writing skills. Telling the story and the reader connecting with the character and not leaving out any detail. I love how these people built their relationship.
