Nietzsche: Worldviews

Rate this book
The Birth of Tragedy is the first important work of Nietzsche, he longs to see both the differences that keep the Dionysian as well as the Apollonian views of seeing the world and the similarities that keep them dependent upon one another. Many call it life, but Nieztsche had the confidence to call them an art form that allowed life to be lived. Nietzsche wanted his readers to understand the underpinnings of both the Dionysian and Apollonian tendencies in the works of the Greeks, but in order to do that he had to unravel them to the bone in order to see what made them tick, which he does here in his first book.
