The pov kind of threw me but the journey and the end?? I simply need more!! That abrupt end simply couldn’t be all for them, right??

I am obsessed with this book. I’ll be thinking about the intense range of emotions in this novel for weeks. The rich gothic prose made it nearly impossible to put down. To be honest I should probably wait a few days before writing a review because the ending left me so speechless, but I’m simply too eager to share. If you’re a fan of dark romance, sapphic vampires, relationships spanning millennia, and plot twists you will NOT see coming then you need to read this. Thank me later. 🖤
Did Not Finish
August 11, 2026Unfortunately, this felt like a second person POV, which threw me from the beginning. This is purely a preference thing for me, and this took me out of the story.

Hard to put down as you fall in love with the style of writing and the history throughout time. The ending was quite the twist! Very well done!

I will literally read any book centered around vampires and dark Gothic history. This book kept me turning the page from the beginning! The amount of historical detail and emotional depth that went into this book really made it worthwhile.
I will say that going into this book, I did not realize it was written in 3rd person. This might have been why I struggled to finish this book at first because It was a little confusing to keep up with, and I could not connect as deeply.
This is my first Sapphic romance read, and I did like the relationship dynamics between the two main characters. The struggle and growth of the main character were written beautifully, and I loved how real the characters' emotions felt during each major event throughout the book!
In my opinion, I feel like the ending was pretty sudden and left me thinking that something was missing. Overall, it was a good read, and I definitely enjoyed all the magic, angst, romantic tension, and vampire drama!
