BOOK 6 in the CROSS ACADEMY AN EPIC CHRISTIAN FANTASYDarkness has spread across the Four Regions, and Cross Academy is no longer the haven it once was. The lines between ally and enemy have blurred. Cities tremble under the shadow of chaos, and only those who cling to God can hope to survive what’s coming.
Kohlannis Hunger now stands against the Cross he once fought to protect. Hunted by former allies and bound by choices he cannot undo, he walks a path few would dare to follow. But is he truly lost, or is he fighting a battle no one else can see?
Fox Fire refuses to give up on him.
Defying the Academy’s orders, Fox sets out to save Kohl and KI, even if it means becoming a traitor herself. As darkness tightens its grip, her faith is tested like never before. She can feel the end drawing near, and she doesn’t know which side of victory she’ll stand on.
Meanwhile, something ancient and terrible has been unleashed in the North. Lord Izzy and Captain Diaz race against time to contain the rising evil, while the Third Birth of Carnage steps onto the battlefield.
As the Four Regions edge toward collapse, every choice carries eternal consequences. The final battle is coming, and when it arrives, faith, not strength, will determine who stands.
SERIES Cross Academy The Howler's Cry The Nine Births of Carnage The Testament Relics Shifting Tides Dark Paths
Reading *Dark Paths* felt deeply personal to me in a way I didn’t expect. From the very beginning of this series, I found myself completely drawn in, and by the time I reached this book, I couldn’t wait to see how everything would unfold. Finishing it felt emotional—not just because the story ended, but because of how much it meant to me along the way.
I especially fell in love with the characters, particularly Seganamé and Talon. Their journeys stayed with me long after I put the book down. There was something powerful about how they were written—flawed, strong, searching—and it made me feel connected to them in a real way. I also loved the bond between Zuriel and KI; it was one of those relationships that felt genuine and meaningful, adding so much heart to the story.
What impacted me the most, though, were the moments when God spoke to the characters. Every time those moments appeared, I felt it deeply. There were times I was brought to tears, not just because of the emotion in the story, but because His words felt so true and powerful. I found myself in awe, reflecting on my own faith and relationship with Him. The way the characters each related to God—similar in some ways, yet still uniquely their own—was beautifully done.
It was also heartbreaking to see that some of the Nine chose to turn away from salvation. Those moments were heavy, but they made the story feel even more real and meaningful. And seeing Noi find and share her voice was incredibly moving—it felt like a reminder of the importance of speaking truth and walking in purpose.
This series has genuinely grown my love for Jesus even more than before. It reminded me that I am His, and that truth stayed with me beyond the pages of the book. I’m so grateful for this story and everything it stirred in my heart.
I can’t wait to see what comes next from this author. Thank you for sharing your light and your message through this series. God bless you.
This is by far my favorite Christian fantasy series because tbh it’s soooooo realistic in many ways. As a Christian we are able to accomplish the impossible because God gave us the power to do so. We don’t fight against flesh and blood but I love the character development all the Christians went through! Because that EXACTLY how we can be in real life. Down to the persecution of one who has done great evil but surrendered to Christ. That’s why I loved Esau and Talon. Especially seeing Talon stand in the heart of darkness as a Warrior for Christ!!! Man…even Foxfire finding her footing as a fully surrendered believer and….this SERIES was EVERYTHING I love to read in fantasy and all the faith and fighting the good fight of faith I love to see. Scriptures all throughout and JESUS saturation!!! You touched a place in my SOUL with this series. I wish there was more Christian adventure fantasy with romance it’s sooo hard to find.
I loved this book. The author did a fantastic job weaving this story together and wrapping everything up in a nice bow. It is layered. It is warm. It is a simply a good read.
