Have you ever read a book whose words felt like a warm hug? Or perhaps a heartfelt letter from a loved one? The Power of Tahajjud by Jawwad Abbasi felt like the Muslim version of Chicken Soup for the Soul — filled with real stories from real people like you and I, struggling with deeply relatable issues: finding love, wading through financial and health hardship, even grappling with faith and not feeling it. That accessibility is its quiet superpower. It meets you wherever you are and gives you a reason to keep turning back to Allah SWT.

What made The Power of Tahajjud even more valuable were the reflections that follow each story. They read like a dose of grounded wisdom — answers to questions many of us carry quietly. That whisper at the back of the mind: isn't it just easier to take the harām route? Abbasi answers it gently but clearly: keep persevering in the halāl, tend to your relationship with Allah, and He will tend to you.

A beautiful, poignant reminder that it's never too late to turn back — even if it's your first prayer in years, even if you can't make sujood the way you once did, even if hope feels very far away. Just take that first step towards Him at night. Walk towards Him, and He will run towards you, giving in ways you never imagined possible, and protecting you from outcomes you never even knew to fear.
A remarkably well-captured and concise book on what it truly means to have tawakkul. One you'll likely return to again and again; in your darkest moments and your lightest ones.

A couple of suggestions for the author in future editions: I wouldn't have minded 300 or 500 pages — keep collecting stories. And perhaps a dedicated section of specific du'as tied to the stories or themes, so readers can make the same supplications themselves. As it stands, The Power of Tahajjud is as beautiful in design as it is in content — inside and out. Allahumma Bārik.
If I could give it more than 10/10, I would. In Shā Allah this book reaches every heart that needs it ❤️

The Power of Tahajjud didn't feel like a book I simply read—it felt like something I experienced quietly, almost like a whisper to my heart when everything else was loud.
This book left me with a strange, beautiful kind of stillness. It reminded me of those moments in life when I felt lost, unheard, or heavy, and then softly told me that there is a time in the night where none of that goes unnoticed. This book felt very personal to me and something about the way the book described Tahajjud stayed with me. It wasn’t presented as something difficult or distant, but as a moment of closeness—like a door that’s always open, just waiting for you to knock. It spoke to my struggles, my silent duas, my unspoken worries. I began to feel like Tahajjud isn’t just a prayer, it’s a safe place. A place where I can be completely vulnerable, where tears are understood without explanation, and where hope quietly rebuilds itself.
There’s a warmth in the way the author writes, as if he truly wants you to find peace, not just knowledge. And somehow, by the time I finished a few pages, I didn’t just understand Tahajjud, I started to long for it.
It’s the kind of book that will not just sit on my shelf afterward—it wil stay with me. In my thoughts, in my prayers, in those late-night moments when my heart feels heavy. And I believe, this book gently changed me without me even noticing.
It didn't demand anything from me. It simply invited me. It changed how I saw Tahajjud. It became something personal—something I knew I could return to whenever life felt too heavy.

This book is more than just stories ,this book will make u fall in love with prayer..n that prayer it feels like a quiet companion for the nights when your heart is heavy and words feel insufficient. it gently reminds you that there is a space in this world where your دعا is always heard, even when everything else feels uncertain.

The lessons after each chapter don’t feel preachy or overwhelming n When you feel like giving up, these stories remind you that people before you have stood in the same silence, made the same دعا, and found their way through. It plants a quiet determination in your heart: to not quit, to keep asking, and to believe that even unseen moments of عبادت
This is not just a book you read once. It’s one you return to, especially on the nights when you need hope the most.

"The Power of Tahajjud" came to me at a time when I truly needed it. It’s a simple yet powerful reminder that not everything is in our control and that’s where faith brings peace. The book beautifully strengthens your connection with Allah (SWT) and inspires you to turn to Tahajjud with hope and trust. A comforting and faith reviving read.
