ARC review God of Love ✨️

Thank you Maeve and Lena Serathi for the eARC.

From the moment I read the description and saw that this would include Greek mythology, I was so hyped — and it did not disappoint. I immediately fell in love with the writing style; it pulled me in right away.
The story follows 22-year-old Charisma, a mortal labeled an “Error” by the Olympic gods. She is forced to compete in a deadly tournament alongside 12 others to fix the gods’ mistakes. The concept is fresh and gripping, and the mythological elements make the world feel rich and immersive.
I especially loved the interactions between the FMC and MMC. Charisma and Eros had such refreshing chemistry — sweet, tense, and sometimes even humorous. Getting to see the different gods, their personalities, and especially their flaws made the story even more interesting.
The alternating shift between 1st and 3rd person POV added something unique and helped me connect more deeply with both the characters and the dynamics between the gods. While I would have loved a bit more depth in certain parts of the world-building and some side characters, the story kept me fully engaged — especially with that unexpected twist at the end!
Overall, this is a very promising start to the series, and I’m already excited for book two. ✨

Got this book as an ARC which I’m so thankful for!
It was a genuinely amazing read, kept me on my toes literally the ENTIRE time. There wasn’t a single boring moment in this book. In my complete unbiased opinion, you need to get this once its released. I know I will be getting the physical copy because, like I mentioned, I read an ARC copy. If the ARC was as amazing as it was I can’t imagine the finished and released product. 🤩 The ending definitely has me in a chokehold and even though the first is just being released, I already can’t wait for the second.

I will definitely come back and add a more detailed review of the published version once I read it. Amazing job of the two authors who wrote this! Such talent :)

I finally finished a book again...I am in such a reading slump right now :')

I have waited a long time for this book and was really excited to finally read it.
It wasn't necessarily bad, but also not as good as I had anticipated. The concept was intriguing, but the story was a bit incoherent at times. I get that more will be explained in the second book but there were scenes that felt a bit out of place for me personally. That also made it pretty hard for me to built a connection with the characters.
I hope that the next book will help me see the things more clearer.

Excuse me??? Greek mythology, dislike to like and a badass FMC???? Take my money now!!
This book kept me hooked, I’ve read it in a day and I don’t know what to do with my life now.
The fact that Charisma is so brave and fearless and she’s fighting GODS?? I mean babe I can’t love you more already (please let me have Eros thanks).
The end got me crazy and I hope the next books releases like now because that cliffhanger made me question my entire existence.
Loved it! Devoured it!! 🥹
