My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First of all, thank you for letting me be part of your ARC team. It’s been a long time since I’ve read a romantasy book, and I have to say I really enjoyed it!

Okay, where do I start with this book…
First things first:
We have our grumpy, brooding knight, Sir Aldric of the Holy Order. Yes, you guessed it right - a high-ranking knight in all his glory. We also have priests and the Holy Order, so poor Aldric really grew up hating and hunting demons!

Aldric is sent to the demon wasteland .. into the endless fog - to slay the beast, better known as a succubus. What he clearly didn’t expect was our beautiful, sassy, and tempting succubus, Seraphae. 💛

With eyes like molten gold and a presence that unravels everything, she is danger wrapped in temptation. [I really have to quote the blurb here because I couldn’t say it better.]

What neither of them expected was the soul bond snapping into place. Fated mates - aww - swooning 💖 We love when that happens.

So they begin to navigate this strange, new connection. Aldric .. of course, the ever-brooding knight 🗡️ tries really hard to resist her. He really tries. And tries some more… but oh, Seraphae - you tempting, walking goddess 💛

I really love the banter between the two, how sassy Rae can be, and how Aldric slowly begins to trust her and let go.

I don’t want to spoil too much, but I really loved how he wanted to choose her freely. He didn’t just accept everything right away. That was something I didn’t expect but really appreciated.

If you want to know what that means .. and whether there’s a HEA for a demon and a knight - I definitely suggest you read this book 💛

This was a fun fantasy read. Seraphae is hilarious and I love the grumpy vs sunshine aspect between her and Aldric. The world building is fantastic. You can truly see the demons and succubi and they are all so different from what I’ve read about before. There is definitely spice but it doesn’t interfere with the world building or plot. It’s a HEA but leaves room open for the story to continue with the ending.

I received this ARC for my honest review.

Can He Resist Her Touch?

Sir Aldric was raised in the Holy Order, educated (one might say indoctrinated), trained, and forged into a weapon to stand against the demons in the cursed land beyond the Endless Fog. The Holy Order is everything. It owns you body and soul. And Aldric is a dutiful knight who does not question. So, when he is ordered into the Endless Fog to hunt and destroy the creature corrupting men’s souls, he goes.

Seraphae is a demon, a succubus to be exact. She is danger wrapped in temptation. Her touch is intoxicating. Her very presence awakens a man’s deepest desires.

Aldric wants to slay her.
Seraphae wants to break him.
The universe throws them a massive curveball with an ancient, forbidden soul-bond. Now, they are irrevocably bound by magic and their world is changing.

I was hooked immediately. There was tension right out of the gate. The foreshadowing is subtle. The writing is clean, tight, efficient. No wasted words, no fluff, no filler. It reads effortlessly. I really liked the moments when Nordmann brought us full circle and I’m dying to find out who the blacksmith really is. I have a few theories.

For me, the best part was Aldric and Seraphae’s character arcs. Watching Aldric question everything he had ever known. Watching Seraphae grow and mature because, up until now, she has lived a self-centered, carefree life with no worries and no responsibilities. They both have to learn how to let someone in, but most importantly, how to give each other the space to make their own choices.

Because if you’re here because you’re prevented from leaving then that’s not really a choice.

Seraphae’s Touch is a striking fusion of the old and the new, a story that melds the grit of medieval intrigue with the neon-lit intensity of cyberpunk and sci-fi romance. A.M. Nordmann crafts a world that feels both familiar and electrifyingly fresh, where sword fights and courtly politics collide with advanced technology and heart-stopping romance.

The aesthetic is one of the book’s strongest draws—the clash of medieval castles with futuristic cities and cybernetic enhancements creates a vivid, unforgettable setting. The romance threads through this world with a pulsing energy, balancing tender moments with high-stakes tension. The characters are compelling and layered, caught between duty, desire, and the pull of a rapidly shifting world.

There were moments where the plot leaned a bit heavily on exposition, and at times the mix of genres felt slightly overwhelming. But the writing is engaging, and the unique blending of eras and styles kept me hooked. The emotional resonance and tension between characters carried the story forward, even when the world-building occasionally pulled the focus.

Seraphae’s Touch is a bold, imaginative read—one that delivers a moody, romantic, and visually striking journey. Its mixture of medieval grit and futuristic allure is unlike anything else, and despite minor pacing hiccups, it’s a story that will linger long after the final page.

I went into Seraphae’s Touch mostly for the concept and it actually ended up pulling me in more than I expected.
The whole succubi x holy knight dynamic was really interesting because Aldric has been raised his entire life to believe everything in the wastelands is evil… and then he ends up directly tied to Rae. That tension carried a lot of the story for me.
I really liked that Rae could feel when he entered her realm, and that he immediately stood out to her as something different. It added this subtle pull between them early on that made their connection feel important from the start.
Aldric’s character was probably my favorite part. He starts off very rigid and stuck in his beliefs, but watching him slowly question everything he’s been taught felt really satisfying. It wasn’t instant, and it made his connection with Rae feel more real because of it.
The bond between them definitely adds some tension (and spice), but it didn’t feel overdone. It fit the story and their situation really well.
Overall, this felt like a solid book one. It sets up the world and their relationship in a way that makes me curious to see where things go next. I’d definitely continue the series.

“He was sent to kill her… but instead, he was bound to her.” That line literally pulled me in..
We follow a devout knight sent on a mission to destroy a so called “demon”… only to find Seraphae and nothing about her is what he was taught to believe. The moment their fates collide, everything shifts. Faith, duty, desire ... all of it starts to blur.
And the bond?? Absolutely unhinged in the best way. Forced, magical, unavoidable… the kind that ties them together whether they like it or not. The tension that comes with that??? Insane.
The romance is so well done ... forbidden, dangerous, and layered with doubt. You can literally feel the internal conflict, especially from him, torn between everything he’s ever believed and what he’s starting to feel.
And Seraphae?? She’s not your typical “demon” character. She’s powerful, mysterious, and there’s this quiet depth to her that makes you question everything alongside him.
The vibes were dark magic, moral conflict, slow burning tension that suddenly turns feral, and that delicious “we shouldn’t want each other but we do” energy.
Overall, it was a great read...

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy for this story & I genuinely enjoyed it. I read this in one day, I feel it’s an easy read and from the beginning I was pulled in.

Her begin a demon and him being this brooding grumpy knight who only ever knew to hate demons is a setup for a great story. lol I loved watching the characters bond and how Aldric kept to his true self and not completely giving into Seraphae’s temptations immediately. I enjoyed watching him try to find himself and realizing things from his past aren’t what they’re cracked up to be, that what he truly wants was always right there in front of him. I’m excited for the next book & how their story will continue ☺️ thank you again!

This is Book 1 of The Golden Bond Trilogy. And a wonderful start it is!

'Because loving her may cost him everything.
And losing her would destroy him.'

The characters were very complex and compelling and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was excellent and impressive. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

3.5⭐'s rounded up

This was such a delightful story. I absolutely loved Seraphae! Her antics had me giggling throughout this book. I almost felt bad for Aldric at times. He tried so hard to resist. The chemistry is hot, angst is strong and the spice is just right. Looking forward to book 2 and where this story will lead.
