My mentor and friend has lived an amazing life—from an unwitting stint in the CIA (!) to the Washington Post as the national desk's competition to Woodward and Bernstein (!!) to I.F. Stone's right-hand man (!!!) to the author of several important pieces of banking legislation and a lot more. And when this narrative sticks to those incredible details, it's great. When it gives a capsule summary of the last 50 years of the left, I'm wanting to get back to that narrative.
