Zeus: Age-gap Instalove Romance

Rate this book
From Oona Ryda comes a JP/OTT, scorching-hot, age-gap MC romance featuring an obsessed alpha hero, an innocent heroine, found family, instalove, and themes of protection and possessiveness. HEA guaranteed.

London Mitchell has always been told that her bio dad is evil. She's never met the man.
As for her mother and stepfather, they're definitely sadistic. The moment she turns 18, London summons all her courage to escape abuse and show up at the gates of the Renegade Kings Compound hoping to meet a father who doesn't know she exists.

Zeus, the club's road captain, is horrified, confused, appalled (and a whole bunch of other adjectives) when a young woman shows up claiming to be Fiend's daughter. He'd think she was a fraud if it weren't for her eyes. He's only ever seen eyes like that on one other person—his former best friend turned club traitor—and Zeus put a bullet right between them.

This was cute. A solid 3.5 ⭐️. Insta-love, low angst, low action, low-med spice, med emotional depth.

These books are so short it’s hard to dive too deep into the story. I’ve read a couple of hers that have really felt emotional and deep, but for the most part these are pallet cleansers that take a couple hours to read and forget.

London heads to the Kings MC in search of a father she’s never met after escaping her abusive stepfather and addict mother. She finds Zeus, her late father’s ex best friend who killed him when he turned traitor. They’re instantly drawn to each other, chemistry yada yada, but it’s complicated because you know, our MMC killed our FMCs dad and doesn’t know how to tell her.

There’s not much drama, maaayyybbbeee some very slight club bunny drama but not really. There’s tiniest bit of angst as Zeus wrestles their complicated connections and once London finds out what happened she leaves because she fears she’s an embarrassment by proxy and Zeus must despise her. (Ngl I hate when the FMC leaves in the third act as some misguided noble act 🤷🏼‍♀️).

Some mild over-quick drama/action when dear old mom sells London out for her drugs, and Zeus has to save the day. They have a surprisingly mature conversation and a HEA. We never see the step father dealt with, are just told Zeus handles it. It’s totally off page and only mentioned in passing.

All in all this could have used 100 more pages. The potential was there for some really good emotional depth and character arcs given the guilt and themes of addiction, abandonment, self doubt etc. I just don’t think there was enough story to push it over the edge for me.

interesting read

A young woman lives with her mom and stepdad, her mom is a drug addict and the stepdad is abusive to the young woman. Bad things happen and the girl flees to find her birth parent at a biker clubhouse. Her dad is dead. This is a novella, so events happen fast she and her dad’s best friend hit it off. Then she finds out about her dad being a traitor to the club….so off she goes to see her mom. Bad things happen, a rescue is performed and the biker gets her heart forever. Sweet read. HEA, No cheating, no cliffhanger.

Is short but really A sweet read

I love these short stories I can pick up and read in between things I need to do. This book did not disappoint. I enjoyed the characters they were well written unbelievable. The storyline is simple 34 and yet the altar has a way with her words that make sure question if you're gonna get the Correct outcome that you want If you want a quick easy read that will leave you smiling pick up this book and read it.If you want a quick easy read that will leave you smiling pick up this book and read it.

Enjoyable read

This book was well written also good editing. I did enjoy the storyline, the author's writing Drew you into the story. It had a little spice and a little mystery and I do enjoy the Virgin trope. The only thing that I didn't like was it got too corny at the end with the mom and the nursing home. However I will continue to read books from this author and would recommend them.

I loved Zeus and London...

This was cute and a quick read. Some would say it needed more, well honestly, sometimes more is too much. It was a sweet quick read. You get a glimpse of the pain Zeus is in and how he finally found someone to calm the pain and humiliation. You get a wonderful person in London. I really loved it. Sometimes you need low angst and sweetness. I loved it!

⭐️⭐️⭐️

Three stars. The story is good for a quick read, but there’s several continuity errors that are hard to overlook, especially when they’re within a page of eachother. The timeline needs work - the FMC mentions being there for two weeks and then a page later says it’s been 7 days. Otherwise, it’s fine for a quick read.

Saved

Her mom’s in the hospital, her stepdad is brutal. She escapes to the MC her biological dad belongs to. Danger, jealousy, friendship, brotherhood and danger lead to belonging and a wonderful found family. The romantic ending is the best.

Redemption
This book is Zeus's Redemption. I loved every word of it. They are perfect for each other. I remember the Fiend situation from the last book and this was such a nice book to give some peace and happiness to Zeus and Fiends daughter.

Honestly I’m impressed at how these novellas can be such complete stories and not a ridiculous insta-love story that’s incomplete.
