slow burn

This is a slow to practically no burn book. It is cute. There is no drama and not much of a story. Just fun events with the Forresters.

The Forresters are plumb crazy. I say that with great affection. This time, Memphis is in the hot seat when he finds out he fathered a secret child with a married woman.
Oops.
Said married woman is now deceased, and her late husband’s sister has custody of baby Ivy. Cassia has become two-year-old Ivy’s mother, and it is a shock when she and her sister figure out that not only was Ivy not their brother Ivan’s daughter, but that their sister-in-law had given herself a Hall Pass to have a one-hour stand with a famous bassist. Memphis.
Memphis wants to raise his daughter. He pulls a few jerk moves by insisting that either Cassia bring Ivy and move in with him across the country, or that he takes Ivy to move in with him across the country, without Cassia. He also insists that the move takes place in one weeek.
Honestly, these are the only jerky things he does in the whole book. They’re pretty bad, but he is within his legal rights. And he’s so hot earnest that Cassia forgives him.
The extended Forresters come into the story at this point, and they love hard and play hard. One thing I will say is that they make sure that the kids wear helmets. But I can say with certainty that Cassia wouldn’t be the only person concerned that a two-year-old is partaking in activities where she would need protective headgear.
They are hysterically funny, and incredibly endearing. And laid back enough to roll with having a new grandchild/niece/cousin. These are the people we know and love from the first generation. The family has grown into a crazy quilt of loving people, and they are all nuts and all very, very loving.
This is a slow burn romance between Cassia and Memphis. Very slow burn. The story of the family tends to overpower the love story, but I didn’t mind because of the humor in it.

I always think it's fun when new blood is brought into this crazy clan in Rojo. They are so stunned by the adults, then they realize how many there are and how everyone is related. But what really blows their minds is the kids and how feral they are. This one is a bridge of new blood with one of their own. How Ivy is a Forrester is interesting and a little sad. Her history with her family, even more so, but you are also glad that she has Cassia and her sisters. It's also fun to see it when the sisters really "got" where the weird things (to them) that Ivy is into start to make sense.

I felt for Cassia, she was in a horrible situation, her risk of loosing Ivy was real. And while I might not have agreed with how Memphis did things, he never tried to push Cassia out, instead was trying to make room for himself in their lives and give them back a family. It was nice to see how it all worked out.

Oh my, one of the Wild Forrester's

Cassia and her sisters have definitely experienced a lot in life and lost loved ones, and her twin brother sadly died as well. His wife cheated on him with Memphis at a concert and she got pregnant. Cassia has been her guardian since they passed, but the sister Iliana figured out that Ivy was not their brothers baby and while researching found Memphis.
Memphis is part of the band and had no idea about a daughter, until it was brought to his attention.
I'm not going to give away any spoilers, so grab your copy and enjoy because I did.
Highly recommend! Happy reading!

A must read

Another wonderful book from Cee,Memphis belongs to Jamie and Daughtry and the wonderful lady that becomes his is Cassia. An unexpected event brings these two together and while it isn’t exactly smooth sailing from the beginning with the help of all of Memphis’ ginormous family these two get their happily ever after, all the feels are in this book,we are back in Rojo with all the gang and the OG’s are still as fantastic as they used to be,highly recommend this author book and series 🖤❤️

Memphis & Cassia

So good!! I laughed - a lot - and I cried too. It’s always good to be back in Rojo, but being back with the Forresters and family and friends is just the absolute best. In this case, out of tragedy came the most beautiful story possible. Cassia and her sisters couldn’t have landed in a better place. I’m doing a chronological reread from the very beginning so I can’t wait to read this one again! 💜

Another great story by Cee Bowerman. I absolutely love Memphis and Cassia love story. While it may be a little unconventional it is definitely real. There are some ups and downs mixed with Love and a healthy dose of humor.
I love getting more updates on the Forrester family and some we don't always get a lot of updates on like Jamie and Daughtry and that side of the Forrester's.
I can't not wait to see what's in store for us next in Rojo.
Grab your copy and happy reading, It's so worth it!!

Let's hear it for the Rojo Kings!

Adventures abound with the Forrester clan, no doubt about it! Memphis gets the surprise of his life when he learns the truth about a past encounter with a woman he had a fling with. Life really throws you a random key change when you least expect it, but Cassia and Ivy end up creating beautiful harmony that Memphis didn't know he was looking for. What a great love story! Laugh out loud moments and shenanigans abound!

author did it again

I loved this book . It was fun catching up with the Forresters. Memphis Forrester finds out he is a father . The baby’s mother is actually her aunt who took custody when the baby’s parents were killed. Confused yet? Enjoy Memphis and Cassia’s story( and baby Ivy of course) . If you haven’t read this series i highly recommend that you go to the authors reading list and read the series in order. They are highly entertaining and funny as hell.

LOVED IT!

I want to cry! I might need some kind of therapy! When it comes to reading Ms Cee's books, I get so caught up in them and her storytelling, that I'm very sad when the book comes to the end! It's not the story necessarily that makes me sad, it's the fact that I have no more for now! I can't just write her or call her up and tell her " please, more! more! more!" It will make me seem like a crazy person😅 Can't wait for the next book!

Great story

I love this one. I felt the betrayal when Memphis was told about Ivy, the fear of loosing her child by Cassia and the joy them working together with the best interests of Ivy front and center. It was a wonderful story with a great ending. Is a book that I will most likely read more than once.

Perfect 10000 stars

I always enjoy your books! I don't know how they get better and better but I truly enjoy reading them over and over again. Memphis and Cassia were absolutely amazing. Anyone who falls for a Forrester should be given a instruction book, something to sign that protects their mentality and a metal!!
Can't wait to see whose next in Rojo!!

A new favorite!

Each of Cee’s books is better than the last. She does a great job of weaving this one into the timeline of others without repeating things or being confusing. Memphis and Cassia are a wonderful couple. The book had lots of fun sections, as well as sadness, all written superbly.

I absolutely adore and devour everything this author writes. This is booked two in the Memphis Rojo Kings saga. It’s fun getting the stories of some of the grandchildren and how that’s progressing. I was excited about the three new women that are introduced into this series. looking forward to the next book in this particular saga.

It's wild and crazy funny

I liked it, because its real life in many large family's. sense of humor when it comes to relationships. Belly laughed when it came to clit island and G spot rapper. It brought to mind the many shenanigans we did in our youth that now as parents we cringe at what might have happened. Enjoy.

My favorite day of the month didn’t disappoint!

I grew up hearing family isn’t always blood. It’s love and effort. I love the way Cee Bowerman portrays that in her books. I also loved we got to see more of Martha in this book!

The revisiting of the Forester family and cousins was so great. The little Ivy was so engaging and sweet. The 3 sisters and their stories were heartbreaking. The antics were so real and terrifying. Thanks for the visit to Rojo.

Memphis

This was another fun, heartwarming story from Cee Bowerman. The Forresters will forever one of my favorites families and Cassia, Ivy, and her sisters are welcomed into their ranks. Her friend Oksana is a great character that I hope finds her way to Rojo one day.
