He towered over her, but if she felt intimidated, she didn’t show it. “And who exactly are you?” William snapped. Pretty or not, her presence—and her input—were unwelcome.

This book has so much depth - from the storyline to the description of each character. It points to the things that happen in life, going through the worst parts of life, but coming back around and see that God may not have done things the way you wanted, the way you expected to happen, but didn’t. It’s such a wonderful story of heartbreak, and finding that no matter what, God has always had you.
A good and inspiring read of a widower with children married a young woman in a marriage of convenience and they fell in love and weathered adversity together and found happiness
