Couldn't put it down. This book had and still has me in a chokehold. The gore, the plot, and the idea of having someone so fixated on me makes me want it in real life. Maybe not the unaliving part but ya know what I am saying. I am not into splatterpunk nor did I ever think I would be, but this is the best introduction to splatterpunk in my eyes. Cannot wait for book 2!
Now here me out, I know that there is some things in there that could use more razzle dazzle BUT as a first debut from what I can tell, S.D. Larkin knows what he is doing to get his readers on the edge of their seat whether in pure excitement or in pure horror. Definitely not a read for a queasy stomach ( I plead the fifth) but if you can get past that, you will love this book as much as I do.
tried to read, but it's apart of the CFP. Can't Finish Pile. the bones of the story are there, however they are buried deep under the need for Formatting, Editing, there is no breaks. It is as if the Author sat down, wrote it out, and but did not have any Alpha, or Beta readers. there is Paragraphs so that gets a second star.
I had to dnf this book after reading 3 paragraphs. The formatting had me in shambles before the prologue and there is no page breaks anywhere. the story, from what I read has good bones but it needs a lot of help from the author. going from 1st to 3rd person is making my head swimming. xx
