I liked the story but felt like I was playing catch up. There are a bunch of other characters that seem like they'd have their own story. I think it'd be worth reading that first if there is one.
There is a cliffhanger but I probably won't bother with the rest of this series. Woody is an ***hole and I don't love the others enough to continue. I absolutely adore the book covers though. They're what drew me in.

2⭐1.5🌶️ format- ebook 📱
It took me a while to get to grips with the writing style of this book, it felt like some parts were written in the past tense while others were in the present tense and I just couldn't get my mind around it (it took me out of the story a lot). I wasn't sure where Sable got her courage from to talk and fight back to someone trying to 🔪 her but not to an abusive husband? The 🍆 scenes felt like a teenager wrote them, and the dialogue felt too young for some of the characters and their professions too.
I liked the premise of this book, and the story showed some promise but nothing was given enough detail, some of the characters fell a bit flat for me and their backgrounds felt unfinished/underdeveloped. The cliffhanger at the end felt like a last ditch attempt to make me read on, but it unfortunately failed. I will try more from this author (in the hopes that this is some early work or a one off) but I won't be continuing the series.

Dead Cute is just that. With the FMC, Sable, being able to verbally spar with someone who is trying to unalive her, you immediately know that this is someone you want to be friends with. The three MMC's are so different and fit each aspect of Sable's personalities/needs. I enjoyed the banter and the spice enhanced the story... so much enhancement. This story includes vigilante justice, groups of people committed to meting it out, and an FMC beginning to do her toe into an entirely different side of life.
AND of course there's a cliff hanger. Running to the next book immediately!

September 19, 2026I hate to give bad reviews but the MMC Forrest creeped me out way too much for me to continue the book.
I did love how strong Sable was after all she had been through and it totally disgusted me that Forrest had one thing and one thing only on his mind that he wanted from her EVEN though he stated it wasn’t (liar liar pants on fire).
Really wish I could have gotten into this but it’s a no for me. I don’t not recommend this read

With the murd£r of her husband having set her free she never could have imagined that his son would come looking for revenge or that unexpectedly she would fall into the hands of three men who are hell bent on doing what the law will not. 5/5 loved this, and if you have read Best Served Cold you will recognize characters.

Cliff hanger...
This read was really funny, it gripped me from the get go.
I really had problems putting it down to sleep, eat and work etc.
Now I'm going to have to wait for the next book to come out... 🥺🥺🥺😭

I like the character and getting to know all of them. I do want to know if more happens with Woody & sable. Is hes cautious of her for a reason?? The ending has me jumping in to book 2!

definitely a lethal read!!!
Could not put this down! Thoroughly enjoyable… between the characters extra curricula activities, the attractions and the comedic banter you will not know who to root for. There’s twists and just when you think alls good….

The storyline was good. The spice was good but definitely needed a little more in the MMMF department. Some of the story was a little corny but that's ok too. I enjoyed it.

Sable, seemed numb to the violence of her life but she can verbally spar like no other. To such great decree she actually convince Woody, her would be life taker, to enjoy sparring with her more. Lol! Forrest, a judge by day and an vigilante by night has set his sights on her and not planning to let go. Leif, designer by day, justice seeker at night is just as enamoured by her.
