Now they face a threat so overwhelming that they must pull teams from across the globe and work with the very monsters they’ve hunted in the past to assist them in saving humanity. As the largest threat to ever rise against mankind prepares its own twisted Apocalypse, the only thing standing in its way is the Monster Squads. I am enjoying the time I spend reading this series. I flew through this book and didn't even realize I was finished until the last page. It was so well written and well edited. Full of action and great characters. I am excited to see what happens next.
Good story and series. Fantastic dynamic characters and unique plot. No graphic sexual content but a lot of vampires dying. I enjoyed it and recommend it.
This book ties up the Sicarii portion of the storyline from books 1-3. The monster squads face the Sicarii's Vampire hoard in the California desert on the secret military base The Monster Squad was given for the task. Vastly outnumbered, they must count on terrain, technology and there own supernatural allies to help them defeat this threat to humanity. Several new characters are introduced, and several old characters will be sent to their eternal reward. The actions sequences are huge and well written, as are the romance scenes this book includes! The open plotlines are tied off, while a new plotline opens at the end to continue the series in interesting new directions. I actually Beta read books 7 and 8, and know where the series is going, and I can recommend this series heartily! Jack Voorhies does a great job narrating, bringing the different characters to life. Any fan of Weston Oche's Seal Team 666 and Evan Curry's Seal Team 13 books should enjoy this series.
I thought there were too many unanswered questions left at the end of this book. It was supposedly the end of this storyline, but it felt incomplete. I did not mind the deaths that occurred, actual found it poetic justice for disloyal lovers and a betraying war buddy. The XO's actions seemed strange based off her actions in earlier books, but I guess they cod have happened.
I am interested to see what the next MS book does, especially in regards to the CO.
I love how book 4 picked up right were book 3 left off. There was a lot going on in book 4 of the Monster Squad teams lots of auction packed lots of monsters getting in on the auction. I am so excited to see were book 5 is going . Heath left book 4 with a few cliff hangers. I really do enjoy how he dose that. Keep up the good work Heath.
Wrapped up the story arc nicely. Kinda wish a few had survived and others had died. But, that's what happens when you get overly invested in the characters.. Great story telling!!
