Not As Dark

Leviathan is the President of the Saints Outlaw MC Pittsburg and after witnessing the abuse his club’s Enforcer doles out to his woman, he makes sure it won’t happen again. Now she is his to protect. Even though I liked this story I usally like my MC’s a little darker and this one didn’t quite hit the mark for me.

This is a Dark MC Romantic Suspense, and this is the first book in the Saint's Outlaws MC: Pittsburgh, PA series. This book has a lot of things in it that could trigger a reader, so please look into trigger warning to make sure that there is not something in the book that could trigger you before picking up this book. This book is dark and not for every reader. I love a good Dark romance, and this book had most of what I love. I loved the mix of romance and MC stuff in this book. There were just a few times that how some events in this book were handled I did not like. Other than that I loved this book. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

Leviathan’s Image is the first book in Ryan Storms’ Saint’s Outlaws MC: Pittsburgh, PA Chapter series, and what an intense introduction it is. Ryan Storms is a new author to me, but MC romance is absolutely not new territory. I am a huge fan of the genre, including the darker, grittier stories, and this book delivered the kind of emotional depth, danger, loyalty, and found-family strength that makes MC romance so addictive.

Storms does an excellent job creating a world that feels rough, lived in, and believable. The Saint’s Outlaws fit naturally within that world, and so do the characters. They are gritty, imperfect, and shaped by the lives they have lived, but there is also a strong code running through the club. They do not hurt women. While it is not stated as directly, I would imagine that protection extends to children as well. That code matters deeply in this story, especially because one of their own violates everything the club should stand for.

That part was hard to read, and it hurt to discover that one of the MC characters was an abuser. It also speaks to the unfair assumptions people often make about those who live the biker lifestyle. Leviathan is proof that the stereotype does not define every man in that world. From the moment he saves Ripley from a brutal beating that could have ended her life, it is clear that he is not a man who stands by while someone vulnerable is being destroyed, even if it breaks protocol.

Ripley’s story is heartbreaking, but important. This book does not soften the impact of domestic abuse or pretend the damage ends with the physical injuries. It shines a light on the emotional and psychological wounds that linger long after the immediate danger has passed. Ripley’s fear, trauma, and struggle to feel safe again are difficult to read at times, but they are also what give the story its emotional power.

What made this book so moving for me was watching Ripley find more than rescue. She finds safety. She finds security. She finds chosen family. She finds people who do not judge her, blame her, or condemn her for what she endured. Instead, they offer care, protection, and a place where she can begin to heal. And in Leviathan, she finds a man who sees her worth, stands beside her, and gives her the kind of love and protection she desperately deserves.

The story also brings plenty of drama, tension, and danger, especially when a corrupt police chief threatens to upend the fragile stability Ripley has finally started to build. Between the murder investigation, the club dynamics, the emotional fallout, and the growing romance, the stakes stay high from beginning to end.

Leviathan’s Image is gritty, emotional, suspenseful, steamy, and deeply engaging. It has high-impact drama, intense action, compelling characters, a protective MC family, and a romance that feels hard-earned and meaningful. I could not put it down. For readers who enjoy darker MC romance with emotional depth, found family, protective heroes, survivor heroines, and a powerful journey from trauma to healing, this is absolutely a book to pick up.

Leviathan's Image by Ryan Storms is the first title I have read by this author and is part of the Saint's Outlaws MC Pittsburgh series.
As a forced proximity, touch her and die, dark MC suspense romance, the plot and storyline had me hooked quickly along with the main characters of Leviathan and Ripley.
Leviathan is the president of the Saint's Outlaws and is cold, calculated and doesn't do soft feelings. He has blood on his hands and needs to keep himself concentrating on running the MC and ensuring nothing threatens the club or its members.
Ripley has been the girlfriend of club enforcer Cain for three years and has systematically lost herself to the controlling and violent biker with no safe way to leave or escape his physical and emotional abuse.
This story covers Leviathan's uncharacteristic actions of stepping in to protect Ripley and the fallout that ensues including stripping Cain of his club patch and saving the club from the war the Chief of Police wages on the MC.
We also follow the growing relationship between Leviathan and Ripley as well as their individual journeys. Ripley rediscovers herself and has the opportunity to finally have something for herself to focus on whilst Leviathan has to navigate new feelings and manage his protective and possessive instincts regarding Ripley all the while balancing the responsibilities needing to be maintained as his role of leader and president of the MC.
There was steam, spice, action, drama and suspense throughout that kept me easily turning the pages to see how everything turns out and it was a pleasure to read Ripley and Leviathan's learning curve to a healthy relationship where trust and support help heal one another.
I look forward to reading other titles by this author.

Ryan storms is a new author to me and I can say I loved this it had hard themes so please check the trigger warnings however it was healing.

This is a book about redemption, healing, learning to feel and learning to put yourself first. It was about fighting for each other and fighting for yourself. Learning to love yourself after trauma. It was heavy but it was also beautiful.

Leviathon is pres of the club, he sees his enforcer hurting his old lady, he puts a stop to it, strips him of his patch.

Ripley is 23 she met cain at 19 when she still had goals and dreams to reach for before he started abusing her and isolating her from everyone, hurting her for 3 years everyone turned a blind eye, but not Levi, Levi noticed her, so when cain has one last go at her she goes to the club house battered, bruised and bleeding. Levi takes her in. Something in her calls to him and he can stand to see her hurt so he goes after cain. So Cain can never hurt anyone again.

He makes it his mission to help her heal, even when the club thinks she's a liability, even when cains dad the chief of police is after them he never turns his back on her and she on him. He helps her become stronger and she helps him be human.

Can they survive all that's happening?

So well written honestly beautiful I loved it.

I picked up this book as an ARC; it's the first time I've read his work, and I really enjoyed it. It was action-packed from the very start, steamy, and the story flowed well.

The book deals with one of Levi's enforcers abusing his partner of three years. When Levi realises that Cain has gone against the code of the club, he takes matters into his own hands. What he doesn't count on is his feelings towards Ripley, Cain's partner. She has his walls crumbling down around him. There is something about her that draws him in.

Ripley turns to Levi and the club when Cain's latest attack is vicious. Can they help and keep her safe? While most of the club is there for Ripley, some are unhappy with the pressure it's bringing from law enforcement.

Levi and Ripley have to deal with new feelings between them. Ripley, especially because of all the emotional and psychological abuse she has suffered from Cain, sometimes finds it hard to accept the love and praise from Levi. But when love comes along that's worth fighting for, Levi will rase everything to the ground to make sure that Ripley is safe.

I loved Ripley & Leviathan’s story!

This was a great story and a very promising first book in the series. Everything was presented perfectly; the intriguing, flowing plot and the well-presented, amazing characters that I couldn’t get enough of. The story was not an easy one – domestic abuse is not an easy topic, but here it was presented in way that showed how a victim can escape, heal and find their strength and themselves again, with the help that people who really care. Ripley was Cain’s, the Enforcer of Saint’s Outlaws MC, girlfriend. Only, he is an abuser. For three years she suffers and loses herself under his complete control. One night, at a clubhouse party, Leviathan, the Prez, witnesses the abuse and takes action. He strips Cain of his patch and outcasts him from the club. When Cain blames and hurts Riley, she finds sanctuary in Leviathan’s club. The attraction was there from the first glace and while they both fight the aftermath of Cain’s actions and the retaliation Leviathan doesn’t hesitate to make, they find that family is everything and strength is always inside us. I loved every line and I can’t wait to read more stories in this world. 5 stars!

This is a powerful and emotional story about survival, healing, and finding the strength to start over.

Riley is trapped in an abusive relationship and doing everything she can just to make it through each day. When Levi, the MC President, catches his own Enforcer abusing her, he steps in and rescues Riley. His decision doesn’t come without consequences, though—his actions cause some of his brothers to question him and bring new danger to both the club and Riley herself.

At its core, the story is about healing from trauma, learning to feel again, and discovering the courage to put yourself first. Riley’s journey is about reclaiming her strength and learning to love herself after everything she has endured, while Levi stands beside her as they fight for each other and for a better future.

The author does an excellent job portraying the realities of an abusive relationship. The fear, confusion, and gaslighting—and the ripple effects it has on everyone involved—feel heartbreakingly real. It adds a layer of authenticity that makes Riley’s path toward healing even more meaningful.

This biker romance is less about the club lifestyle and more about healing from past trauma, especially domestic abuse. While the biker club setting is present, the emotional journey of the female main character takes center stage. I thought the portrayal of her struggle was particularly well done. She knows she needs to leave the abusive relationship, yet keeps falling back into familiar patterns. That push and pull felt very realistic and highlights how difficult it can be for victims to truly break away.
At times, the book has some technical issues that distracted me. Certain conversations appear almost word-for-word more than once, which felt repetitive and a bit frustrating. The leadership style of the club’s president also felt unusual to me, as he comes across more like a dictator than the head of a group where discussion might normally happen.
Despite these points, I still found it an engaging read. The story raises awareness about the complexities of leaving abusive relationships while still delivering a romance that focuses on healing and moving forward.

Leviathan's Image is the first book in the Saints outlaws MC Book Series. Leviathan is the President of the club and finds himself in a situation where one of his member's is caught abusing his girl. Cain and Ripley have been a couple for several years, but after the new wore off, he began separating her from her friends and family. Began putting her down and also she never knew from moment to moment if she would be on the receiving end of his physical abuse. After one party, where Leviathan catches him physically choking Ripley, he steps in, punishment for this was a de-patching and no longer being apart of the club. Cain doesn't take this well, and takes it out on Ripley later. Ripley shows up at the club house and Leviathan see's red. Cain ultimately pays for this with his life. However, Cain was the son of the town's sheriff who is determined to ruin everyone involved. Ripley and Leviathan become close as he continues to protect her. As President, he is left having to chose whether to help the woman he loves or his brothers? Ultimately he wants both!.

Leviathan's Image is an intriguing and engaging start to the series, drawing readers into a world filled with mystery, tension, and complex characters. The story builds a strong atmosphere from the beginning, gradually revealing layers of intrigue that keep the reader curious about what will happen next.

The characters feel well developed and multifaceted, which adds depth to the unfolding narrative. As the story progresses, the interactions between them create both emotional tension and compelling dynamics that help drive the plot forward.

The pacing allows the mystery and world-building to develop naturally, making the book immersive and thought-provoking. It’s the kind of story that encourages readers to keep turning the pages to uncover more of the secrets within the narrative.

I would recommend Leviathan's Image to readers who enjoy darker fiction, suspenseful storytelling, and character-driven plots with an element of mystery.

Leviathan is the president of his chapter of the Saints Outlaws, and I like his style. He doesn’t put up with the mistreatment of women, first of all. And he’s smart enough to play the long game and strategize when it comes to club business. When it’s personal, he’s a bit more hotheaded. And his feelings for Ripley make it personal.
Elevator pitch: When Ripley’s biker boyfriend, Cain, abuses her on club property, Leviathan intervenes. When Cain takes his anger out on Ripley, Leviathan gives her a place to stay and heal, both physically and emotionally. Events lead to harassment by a vengeful police chief, while in the background, Levi and Ripley are falling in love.

Ripley has been in a toxic, abusive relationship for the last 3 years, it began when she was a naive girl of 19, she started dating the charming biker who made her laugh but it very quickly changed to Cain isolating her from family and friends, putting her down. Destroying her self confidence, her dreams of being a teacher, mentally and physically abusing her, controlling her. The time her is pleasant to her is of her wants something or parading her in front of kid club brothers. One person is suspicious of him, his president Leviathan, he sees how jumpy she is .
Levi and the club rules are against men hitting women and Cain is stripped of his patch and banned from the club and all its properties and businesses. He blames Ripley beating her so badly, she goes to the only place she might be safe, the Saints Outlaws MC club house .
They take her in, feelings develop but Levi takes matters into his own hands causing ripples within the club and a vendetta against the MC

Levi and Ripley’s story starts on a night filled with terror, done to Ripley by someone who swore he loved her, but in truth only wanted to own her. The choice Levi made to end Cain’s reign of terror came back to haunt them. This is the first book I’ve read by this author, they fully understood and wrote about abuse, it’s stranglehold on the person and it’s far reaching affects. They did it in a manner that made reading about it real, but also made it interesting in the way it was handled so the outcome was Ripley standing up for herself and Levi opening up to love. The characters make this book and I hope it’s going to be a series. Tough subject matter, if you have triggers for abuse, partner rape ( not by the MMC), or murder, choose to skip this book. 5✨’s.

He’s the president of his club and he’s been focused on running it. They have rules and standards, especially on how you treat women, but he hasn’t looked behind closed doors. Until the night he sees his enforcer putting hands on his girl. He snapped. He gives her a place to be safe and he takes out her threat. She doesn’t know how she ended up here, but she’s been in too deep for too long. She has become used to living on the edge and trying to make herself small until the night. He stands up for her and it changes everything. He made the decision, but they’re both going to pay the consequences. He’s her hero and saves her from a life she didn’t know how to get out of. They burn hot and spicy with a side of tenderness.

Leviathans Image is the first book in the Saint Outlaw MC series Pittsburgh and its a great start to the series. It features Leviathan and Ripley. Levi is the pres of the mc club, and Ripley is the girlfriend of Cain who is also a member of the mc. They have been together 3 years and over the 3 years he has been isolating and abusing Ripley. Levi sees the abuse one night and decides to strip Cain of his patch. This sends Cain into a spiral and Ripley ends up at the club house bruised and battered. Levi takes her in and decides to stop Cain hurting anyone else. This causes all sorts of trouble for Levi and the club.

This is the first book I have read from this author and it won't be the last. It was so well written, I couldn't put it down. I loved how protective Levi was over Ripley and how by helping each other they become stronger.

We follow Leviathan, Ripley, and Cain. Leviathan is the president of his Saints Outlaw MC, and Ripley is someone he has feelings for but didn't act on because she is Cain's girlfriend and he is the club's enforcer. What he didn't know at first was that Cain beats Ripley behind closed doors and that she is a victim of domestic violence. Everything changes when, one evening, he sees Cain hitting her and nearly strangling her. He decides to intervene because he is violating and breaking the club's rules. He removes his Patch, kills him, and makes him disappear. With a gentle hand, and with much patience and support, Ripley is able to slowly put it behind her and finally become the woman she was meant to be, with a voice and her own choices.

Leviathan is the President of the MC. Ripley is the girlfriend of their Enforcer, Cain. Unbeknownst to everyone Ripley is living a life walking on eggshells waiting for Cain mode to flip and tempers to flair. Her savior comes in the form of the MC president walking in on a moment when Cain thought no one else was around and he could treat Ripley like he always does behind closed doors. Leviathan won’t stand for that behavior and takes him upon himself to correct it. This was a sad and sweet story, with a Happy Ending of course. We get to see the broken parts of Ripley and then we get to see how with Leviathan’s help she rebuilds herself again.

This is an emotional story with a lot packed into the pages. When Leviathan finally steps in to protect Ripley, he realizes he should have done it much sooner. When she suffers the consequences from his actions a week later, he realizes he owes her safety and protection and vows to always keep her safe. As they grow closer together, his journey to feeling and love is well written and you see his struggle to remain alone so he can keep everyone safe versus letting himself love and be loved, making him a stronger and better leader for his men. A little dark, a lot of love, found family in the brothers of the MC, and a HEA make this a great intro to the new series.

This is Book 1 of the series. And a FANrastic start it is! Look forward to more from this world.

'They say I'm obsessed. Possessive. That she's got me twisted up and stupid.
They're right.
She's mine, and I keep what belongs to me.
Forever.'

The characters drove the storyline and they were very compelling and complex and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was excellent and solidly drawn. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

But Cain’s father is the town’s Chief of Police, and he wants answers. Determined to uncover the truth, he’s willing to do whatever it takes to get them.

This was a fantastic story from start to finish and I couldn’t put it down. I’m really looking forward to reading more from this series.

This is the first book in the series and is a quick, easy, enjoyable read. However, it isn't as action-packed or dark as most MC books.
Leviathan is the President of SOMC: Pittsburg, PA and when he catches his Enforcer abusing his wife, Riley, he steps in and rescues Riley. Now Riley is his to protect and love quickly blooms between them. Riley's problems aren't over as her husband wants her back and will go to extremes to make it happen.

Awesome

Ripley’s old man is a controlling abusive member of the MC. She’s tried to leave numerous times but he won’t let her go, Leviathan catches him abusing her one day and he helps her. Cain takes out his anger on Ripley and she shows up at the MC clubhouse asking for help. Leviathan says yes but then develops feelings for her. The police start a harassment campaign against the club and they have to join forces to beat them. This is a fantastic start to the series and I eagerly await the next books.

Leviathan's world changes the day that he sees Riley. The things that he thought he would never have come to the front of his mind.
Riley, has a world of trouble backing her thanks to her ex. From a broken body to broken heart she rebuilds her life with the help of Leviathan.
I loved the way that this couple started. the way that they built each other up and found the ways to survive together.
This is a new to me author and I wasn't sure what to expect from her books. I found that I loved this book and can't wait for the others to come in this Saint's Outlaws MC Series.

This was my first book from this author and I greatly enjoyed it. Leviathan is very rough around the edges and doesn’t get involved in his members’ personal lives, however when one member takes things too far he has no choice but to step in. Once he decides to step in, Leviathan & Riley embark on a journey that opens both their eyes. Her ex’s dad isn’t going to turn a blind eye to what happened to his son but Leviathan isn’t going to turn a blind eye to what his son did to Riley.

Great start to a new series and chapter and I’m definitely intrigued for the remaining men.

Even though this is labeled as dark romance, it didnt quiet hit my version of dark romance, but it was still enjoyable. This story was more focused of survival and healing from past trauma. If you have ever had first hand experience with some of the situations this book has, I believe the story resignates with you on a deeper level. Overall I believe that the characters were well written and the narrative depth had many layers that just worked together.

You know from reading the book synopsis that Leviathan, president of the Saints Outlaw Pittsburgh chapter, permanently removes his Enforcer for how he treats his (Cain the enforcer) woman, Riley. This action triggers other events. There were a thing or two I was not expecting and I so enjoyed that! I do encourage people to give this story a try!.
