I am a wife and a mother and a business owner alongside my husband of almost 11 years.

We live in east Texas along with our son and our dog and 2 cats!

We've got a 5 acre plot of land that we've lived in since 2000 and absolutely love it. OK the 800° summers can be a little harsh but the land is beautiful and you just can't beat Texans. We know our neighbors and like them...most of them...and where else can you see a hive of tractors parked on main street and it's actually considered normal.

I've been writing romance since 2008 when I wrote my first novel in 3 months. And it was a 100,000+ word count. Apparently I had a lot to say. I've written four novels to date, several short stories, magazine and newsletter articles and am working on a 7 book series right now. I write contemporary erotic romance. Mostly hetero, some same sex, menage "oh yeah" but all of it HOT!

What started it all was a dream. I think a lot of authors say that and I think if more people would write their dreams down and turn them into stories the world would be a much more interesting place. Two dreams compose two of the biggest scenes of Final Promise. One where Simon is chasing Karley through the park into the locker room, and the other when she has to confront him in the conference room. It's been almost 4 years since I had that dream and I SWEAR I can close my eyes and still see the tears streaking down her face looking out the window. My husband always tells me that I have sci fi dreams and on most nights that is so true. I could fill pages and pages of paranormal scenes with them but those dreams were HOT with a capital Damn!!

Whatever precipitated those dreams I am so thankful for. I LOVE Writing! It is something so incredibly fulfilling to put your thoughts and dreams down on paper and have someone else read it and say, "WOW!" But it's something else entirely to have a writer read your work and say, "Holy WOW!"

Now if I could just find where I misplaced my editor...

This was a perfect for me in every way. Book 1 in the Elite Warrior series. Not an anthology but a 8 novel boxed set for 99P (no longer this price though)

The storyline is based on a top secret unit known as Elite Recon. A deadly group of men and women who infiltrate countries that have remained undetected. Their mission objective was extreme and casualties expected. This mission went wrong - badly and resulted in the survivors being given new identities and an instruction to blend into their new life and remain undetected or else.

For two years later the survivors became different people until they are kidnapped, brought back together by a private backer and no longer under the radar of Uncle Sam. they become Elite Metal.

I loved every one of these stories - all well written bringing together the individual stories of each member of this group and what happened to them when the mission went wrong and how the became "new" people. Dirty talking alphas, some BDSM elements and spanking, insta love and each story has a HEA - well until the final story!

It has also introduced me a new bunch of authors that I havent read before so I will be checking them out. This series ends on a cliffhanger and what a cliffhanger it was (although I am sure a lot of you will guess where this is going ;) not a fan of cliffhangers but book 2 is already out and all I can say what an ending and what a start.

a worthwhile read from a bunch of talented authors. Just my kind of book.

Review of Sterling's Seduction by Sabrina York

ARC copy provided by author for an honest review--Book to be released 2/10/15

Just when I think Sabrina can't write a story hotter than the last, BAM! she goes and writes a hottie military/biker tale! Sterling Teller is part of an Elite Metal secret military black ops team. When he and others in the group head to the local bar, Sterling sets eyes on "Candy", a reporter masquerading as a waitress. Sterling suspects her of investigating Elite Metal, and he must do whatever it takes to keep them safe. Even if that means luring "Candy" back to her room and giving her the BIG "O". He's ready, willing, and ooooo sooooo able to take one for the team! But one taste of "Candy" may never be enough. Turns out she has her own secrets to protect, and Sterling is not sure if he can comply with an order to eliminate the one woman who's haunted his dreams since the first day he saw her.

I can't freaking wait to read the rest of the books in this collection! Each story builds on the next! Gonna be a hawt ride, that I highly recommend!!

Elite Metal is going to be an awesome read, with several authors' writing their part to create an awesome series, but today I am just here to review Sterling's Seduction, by Sabrina York; I received an ARC for an honest review.

Sabrina York really delivers a hot, sexy and adventure packed addition to this series with Sterling's Seduction, and I mean hot! The sex scenes are off the chart and the plot is great, you do not get much better when you are talking military/biker reads than Sabrina York, in my opinion. I also love the well developed character of Sterling and Candy, and the minor characters are good as well. In this story we find the members of Elite Metal visiting a biker bar and then Sterling sees Candy, a new bar waitress and he remembers her from being in Los Angeles where she was a reporter.

What follows will be a hot seduction, and then you will have to see what happens. But things aren't always black and white and sometimes what seems to be the obvious is nothing further from the truth. Take this ride with the author as she reveals secrets on both sides that will affect the outcome for both Sterling and Candy, "the barmaid" in Sterling's Seduction. When you are finished, you will be so glad you read it and got to witness first hand a "black ops" soldier at work!

This is part of the series that you can't afford to miss and the author- true to form, delivers a part that will have you sitting there from the beginning until you finish, because from page 1, she will draw you in!

I gave Sterling's Seduction 5***** Stars!

How many fans of the Avengers out there? *raises hand* Oh yes! Well guess what. Some of my favorite authors have put together the most amazing collection of “avengers.” Okay, so none of them are from another planet. They are all from the good ol’ US of A. None of them have actual “superpowers.” They just have all the best training that can be provided, not to mention natural talents. What they do all have in common though? Loyalty. Honor. Family. And a thirst for vengeance.

Enter the world of Elite Metal. To the outside world they are a Motorcycle club. Little does the world know that they are also the most lethal group of highly skilled former Marines with a driving desire to bring down the forces that almost destroyed them with bad intel and then left them abandoned to a cruel unforgiving world with no past and bleak futures. Meet these down to earth Avengers and the people they love.

Meet Steele – BOUND BY STEELE by Jennifer Kacey & Anna Alexander – one of the tortured, guilt ridden leaders of Elite Recon who made a disastrous decision that destroyed the teams and Alayna, the CIA mole that was fed bad intel. Their coming together lead to healing, forgiveness, and hope that there was still a future.

Co-leader Chrome – CHROME’S SALVATION by Jennifer Kacey – and Cammie. Cammie is so sweet doing all she can to get her young siblings back safe and sound, but she brought Chrome to his knees.

Computer geek, Adamantium –ADAMANTIUM’S ROAR by Anna Alexander – gets smack upside the head by his past when he finds high school crush Beth in need of the kind of help only he and his brothers and sister can provide.

Chameleon, Copper – PURE COPPER by Heather Long – the only female of the group, gets sideswiped by the only person who has ever actually seen HER, former CIA agent Gabriel.

Hot Master Dom Sterling – STERLING’S SEDUCTION – meets his match with reporter Roni when she shows up. She may look like she is only looking for a story, but she just wants her sister back.

PLATINUM’S CHOICE by Rebecca Royce – he just wanted what everyone else wanted. His family to be safe. Hence no-one knew about his son until someone starts taking shots at The Boy and his teacher, Rose.

Heavily scarred Mercury – MERCURY’S POISON by Saranna DeWylde – doesn’t feel he has any redeeming qualities left until Dr. Hazel insists over wise.

Silver – FORGED IN SILVER by Roxie Rivera – the bad boy of the group needs the most forgiveness for his choices. But Poppy, the “liaison” between the team and Warbucks is more than ready to bring this bad boy back to the fold. I was so happy to see Poppy get to find happiness too.

Warbucks? He was the elusive “money man” that – um – initiated these “Avengers” back into the fight against the evils of the world, like Red Wolf. *sigh* Although, I think he needs to get a larger compound. The team keeps acquiring more family.

Let’s not forget the “ghosts” that flitted around each of the stories. Just who are they? Why are they here?

I adored how these authors came together to present this collection of stories about heroes that we all want out there looking out for us, and the extended family that provides them the courage and drive to continue the fight no one else wants to undertake. Each author brought her own voice to this collection but each contributed to the overall theme of loyalty, honor and family. Well done.

I even loved the WTF ending that was lobbed at us. I can’t wait for the next book!

I was provide a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I will start how it ended...WHAT. THE. F***! I have no words to describe how I feel now that I've reached the final page of this lengthy and amazing collection. I really don't. I clicked on it when I was in my military mood and sat on the read for some time. Bad for me...really bad considering that I loved it.

8 novels, each a complete story that leads into the next one and makes you feel like an addict jonesing for the next one. Each story brings to life another member of a now disbanded and supposedly deceased marine unit. My heart broke for the broken men and woman that were left behind. Stubborn, lost and seemingly forgotten they have nothing, not even their own names. But they are still wanting more deep down. Family, revenge and a whole lot more stirs each of them to trust again and hope for redemption and retribution.

Okay, like I said I was hooked from the first story. This collection is HOT! Brave, stubborn and single-minded; each of these team members falls like a domino when they are faced with love. I was in love and sold from the start; STEELE...but...BUT! But I was stopped dead in my tracks with the end. I mean I literally screamed out loud when I reached the end. It just ended...after the wonderful and talented Roxie Rivera dropped the biggest bomb of them ALL!

I'm not one for spoilers, so I won't say what it is but it's a doozy. I hope and pray that there will be more. Please let there be more. I have to know what the heck is going on. Who? Why? How? I'm completely stunned and taken aback by the ending. Please don't let this be the end. Very rarely does a story, let alone a series grab you and hold you like this. I was on the edge of my seat with each member's story and was happy when they found their own HEA, but it wasn't enough.

Well done ladies. Seriously, I'm so happy with the collection that I must insist on MORE! ELITE METAL was worth every penny spent and is a collection that I will surely reread. I hope that when I do reread it will be to refresh my memory for the next installment.

My review will be of Sterling's Seduction by Sabrina York .

4 Stars

Hotness Rating 4 out of 5

I am a huge fan of Sabrina York's writing style. The witty sarcastic charm that her characters exude gets me every time. In Sterling's Seduction we didn't get to see this as much from the main character due to all of his gruff, in-control, surliness. Have no fear. This worked for Sterling in a big way. Can you say hot, dominant, alpha male? Woo-eee! And we get the playful, witty sarcasm from the secondary characters. Win-win!

Sterling is a member of an elite military group pretending to be a motorcycle gang. This kind of deep cover has to be protected at all costs. People could die if this secret got out. That's why when the beautiful "Candy" comes across the team's radar as more than a nosy waitress Sterling will do whatever it takes to protect his team. There's only one problem. "Candy" brings out a side of Sterling that he's never experienced. He's never even imagined trying to protect someone from his team. They've always come first. Not to mention her sexual appetites rival his own.

Roni is a reporter for a gossip magazine posing as a waitress in the middle of nowhere trying to get information about the very protective compound that is stationed there. By all accounts, this compound is owned by a badass motorcycle club. But, Roni's not buying it. Her investigational skills and instincts are top-notch. There is definitely more to the story and everything her gut tells her points to military secrets. Could this be the story that can finally get her what she wants more than anything? She's willing to do anything to finally get out from under her step-father's claws. At least she thought she was until she meets the super sexy and dominant Sterling.

I really, really enjoyed this story and can not wait to read more of this elite team in this boxed set.

I am going to be in the minority here as I was not blown away as all my fellow GR readers.

I LOVED Bound by Steele by Jennifer Kacey and Anna Alexander and Chrome's Salvation also by Jennifer Kacey. I will be looking out for more books by Jennifer Kacey as these two books blew me away. They are worthy of a solid 4* rating.

I loved the banter between the characters esp Steele and Chrome, the heroines where great, the story might have been missing some action though. I would have loved to see them fighting as a unit - that for me was a big part that was missing, otherwise a fantastic read that had me glued to the pages.

And then I moved on to Adamantium's Roar - Anna Alexander, and I just could not like this part of the series. The heroine put me off the story and this was a DNF for me.

I then moved on to Platinum's Choice - Rebecca Royce. Rebecca is one of my favorite authors but again Platinum was not alpha enough for me and I was not feeling this part of the story like Steel's or Chrome's.

Being so disappointed I moved on to Forged in Silver by Roxie Rivera hoping that this part will blow me away, but sadly this was another disappointing read. I needed Silver to be a little more Alpha for Poppy, Poppy was the lead in this romance and I don't like my romances where the hero takes a backseat to the heroine. Again why where they not working as a team - the story would have been great if we could have had that.

Maybe I should not have started to read all the stories one after the other but I was not feeling the love after Chrome's story.

I have read Chrome's Salvation, by Jennifer Kacey and Sterling's Seduction, by Sabrina York.

About Chrome's Salvation :
This is probably the tamest book I've read from Jennifer Kacey. Not the way you think, though...
Of course it was kinky, but it also had a focus on adventure in a way that I had not expected her to do so, seeing that the books I've read from her mainly focus on the BDSM part.
But it was a "good" unexpected and it made me go back and re-read it!!
I loved the path the characters walked through their own issues and how it works out for them.
And of course, I loved how it guides us to the next story!

About Sterling's Seduction :
That was not expected! Ok… maybe it was a bit expected, judging by the lineup of authors, but still….. I would be expecting the story to be more tame!
Nope! That didn’t happen. It was wild and surprising… It didn’t drift the way I expected it to go, but followed a different direction.
Of course Sterling was hot! Of course he can take me to bed whenever he wants! However, he has a team to protect and he will do anything to achieve that!
Candy/Roni has her own secrets and an agenda of her own. Messing with Sterling might not be the solution she wants. And it actually isn’t.
The way the plot twisted in this particular part, had me speechless! I really was waiting for a different way of ending the story, but it didn’t!
Now I need to read the rest of the stories! :p

I received copies of Pure Copper by Heather Long and Mercurys Poison by Saranna DeWylde (two of the stories in this collection) from the authors for an honest review. I LOVED them both and am anxiously awaiting the publication of the book so I can read the rest.

Pure Copper by Heather Long – Copper is hell on wheels. She is the ultimate warrior/spy. (Think Black Widow with attitude). She has intrigued former CIA analyst Gabriel Danvers from the first time he saw her. Now he is out of the game but has popped on the radar of her team and she is sent in to check him out. She wasn’t supposed to fall for him. Love has never been so deadly. This is a fantastic read from first to last. I’ll admit I wasn’t ready to let them go.

Mercurys Poison by Saranna DeWylde – Oh my goodness this one will tear your heart out. Mercury is poison even in small doses which is why Dr. John Thrace uses it for his handle. His face and body bear the scars from when an experiment of his went wrong and seven people lost their lives but most of the scars are in his heart and mind. John has been stalking Dr. Hazel Brewer as she ministers to the homeless and now his enemies have targeted her to get to him. Can he save her and in doing so save himself? This story tore me up. I hurt so much for the both of them. That just made the ending that much sweeter.

Elite Metal

Platinum’s Choice
By Rebecca Royce

Elite Metal is going to be a fantastic series. I have gotten a taste of it through "Platinum's Choice" by Rebecca Royce.

Platinum (Elijah) has had to refurbish his life a few times. The last time, he thought would be "the last time" and decided he could invest himself in a relationship. Well, life loves to throw us curve balls!

Rose loves being a teacher. Helping her kids is her purpose in life, then, see meets Elijah. She knows he is holding back, but thinks they have something special going on. Then, he is gone.

Now Rose is on the run with a child (Kent) that isn't really hers, but she will do what she needs to do, to protect him.

Enter Platinum. Just what is Rose suppose to make of his re-appearance and the fact that Kent and Platinum (Eli) seem to know each other.

Love, betrayal, anger and running for your life. This story says a lot.

Can't wait to read the rest of Elite Metal.

This book was given by author for an honest review.

This is one of the best multi-author continuity bundles I have ever read! The way these authors have been able to put together this collective story is amazing and keeps you reading from one story to the next as fast as you can. Nothing better than hot sexy military men that I can't stop drooling over.

I received this ARC copy from author Rebecca Royce in exchange for an honest review.

In this 8 novella series from multiple authors, we are introduced to 8 Military Heroes who are going through the loss of their teammates when a mission they were all on to eliminate international bad guy "Red Wolf" went horribly wrong. Years later, the 8, known as the Elite Recon Team are brought back together by a mysterious benefactor known only as "Warbucks". Each story reveals a snippet in the life of one of the recovered Marines, now known as Elite Metal. I have reviewed each individual story. The main theme of these stories is finding and believing in true love, but also, finding out who was responsible for their original mission and finally finishing what they had set out to do before it all went to hell.
1) Bound by Steele (four stars)- by Jennifer Kacey and Anna Alexander
The fact that I wanted to go stand outside in subzero temperatures without a coat shows just how HOT this story was. Adam Steele lost his men and his best friend Zinc when a mission went horribly wrong. After having his true identity declared dead and his new persona struggling to get by, he is kidnapped by secret operatives to go undercover and finish his original mission. He is partnered with Alayna Devlin, another person whose true identity is also a mystery.
Pretending to be husband and wife is easier than the self-proclaimed bachelor thought. Especially since Alayna shares Steele's sexual proclivities. When Steele finds disturbing news about Alayna, it almost ruins the mission and Alayna and Steele's future.
I really enjoyed this story. The flow was great, and I read it relatively quickly.

2) Chrome's Salvation (two stars)- by Jennifer Kacey
When Chrome meets Cammie, a single woman with a baby on a flight to Colorado, he feels more for this woman than he has ever felt for anyone before. When the flight ends, Chrome wants to know more about his seat mate. He follows Cammie to her car, but is drugged and kidnapped before he makes contact with her. Brought back into the Elite Metal fold, Chrome meets up with his old friend Steele and learns that he is needed to right wrongs from the man he was supposed to take out when the original mission was compromised and he lost half his team.
When he later finds out that this strange woman is his newest mission- to retrieve her kidnapped twins, he vows to do everything he can to help her. Falling in love was not on that list, but it happened anyway.
While the sex scenes were steamy, I didn't love this story. There were passages that were confusing, wherein words were needed, but had been omitted. Either due to lack of editing, or just a writer who had the words in her head, but never managed to get them on the paper. I also didn't feel the connection between the characters. Cammie seemed to go along with whatever Chrome was doing to her, but not really vocalizing her desire to actually be there. However, the climax of the story was satisfying. Wrapping up Bound by Steele's storyline enough that it can now lead on to the main plot of this multipart story.

3) Adamantium's Roar (four stars)- by Anna Alexander
By far, my favorite in the series. Scott Maguire has been in love with Beth since the day he met her, but was too shy to do anything about it. Then his best friend Jason stepped in and married Beth. Scott joined the marines the next day. The night before Scott deployed, Jason drunkenly wrapped his car around a tree, dying instantly, leaving Beth alone.
Cut to years later. Adamantium is at a biker bar with some of his EM crew when he spies Beth being mauled by her new boyfriend. When Ant reveals his former identity to Beth, who he cornered in a bathroom, she is both shocked and dismayed to see him. Shocked that her Scott is still alive, but dismayed that he has to witness her like this-being someone's whore. Jason liked to gamble. When he died, he was deep in debt. Chesterfield (Beth's boyfriend) bought up the rest of Jason's markers and took Beth as Jason's payment.
Taking Beth was Ant's only plan. The events that unfolded after weren't in his plans, but it did lead further into the mystery of Red Wolf.
I loved the backstory here. I loved the characters' insecurity with not only each other, but with themselves. I'm also eager to see how the next "chapter" advances this story forward.

4) Pure Copper (two stars)- by Heather Long
Copper is the mission. Doesn't matter what mission she's on, she is 100% in it, heart, mind and soul. Until she meets her next mission. Gabriel is a man who the EM is looking into as a possible connection to Red Wolf. Attraction crackled at first sight, which then led to a very steamy interlude up against a wall. What Copper failed to realize is that she is dealing with an ex-CIA agent who has no qualms about dealing with people who are after him. Especially one he has been chasing for over two years. When Copper's mission becomes compromised, Gabriel does everything he can to save the woman he is falling in love with.
I have to admit that this was my least favorite, so far. I didn't feel that there was any connection between Copper and Gabriel. The story was also a bit on the confusing side, in that Copper had internal conversations with her dead lover, and, maybe this is because this was an ARC copy, there was no change in font, or anything else to signify between the internal and external conversations, so I had no idea if conversations were taking place in the past and had actually happened, or was in the present and what Copper was imagining would happen.

5) Sterling's Seduction (three stars)- by Sabrina York
When you have a hunch about something, you go after it, whole hog. At least, that's what Roni does when she sets her sights on her next story. Until her "investigative reporting" brings her to Bone Daddy's biker bar in Deep Ellum, Texas, and to the Elite Metal "motorcycle club". Sterling eyes Roni, having seen her years earlier being escorted off the set of a movie where he was running security in his former life. Sterling never forgot her face. Or her body. Or the fact that by snooping around where she shouldn't, might get her killed, or at the very least, handcuffed to his bed.
As much as I love Sabrina York's writing, I felt that there was a lot more telling than showing in this story. Though I did feel the chemistry burning between the characters, this story felt too light and breezy for the subject matter. While it was easy to read and understand, I'm not sure if this story added another layer to the main criminal, or if the point of the series is to pair off the Elite Metal team.

6) Platinum's Choice (three stars)- by Rebecca Royce
Elijah "Platinum" Jones was adjusting to life as a civilian. Finally doing what he always wanted to before military life. Rose Smith is a kindergarten teacher, and, like most teachers, considers her students her kids. Especially one in particular.
Kent was told his military father died before he was born. He lost his mother soon after his birth, and was subsequently raised by his grandmother. Yet Kent still held out hope that his father was alive, and was the man who was footing his private school bill.
Rose and Plat meet by chance and start a year long romance. When Plat disappears, Rose shuts down.
Plat has always kept tabs on his son he found out he had after his original mission failed and he was declared dead. When Kent, his son, goes missing, Plat vows to do anything and everything in his power to find him. Especially when he finds out Rose, his Rose, is with Kent.
I have to say I really enjoyed this story. The characters were well developed and I felt the chemistry between them. My only complaint is that there were a few editing glitches- missing words and punctuation, but the story flowed well enough that this is a minor complaint.

7) Mercury's Poison (three stars)- by Saranna DeWylde
John "Mercury" Thrace blends into the shadows so as not to be seen by anyone, but he never expected Hazel (dubbed Witch Hazel by Copper) to not only see him, but to fall for him. Mercury was badly burned by chemicals and is unable to allow anyone in, except Copper, his closest and oldest friend.
When Hazel gets caught up in a situation beyond her control, Mercury steps in. Both Hazel and Mercury are doctors and specialize in chemical research, a fact that will later save Mercury's life. Mercury keeps pushing Hazel away, claiming he doesn't want her to get hurt. Except that Mercury is the one who winds up hurt.
I really enjoyed this spin on Beauty and the Beast. I also loved the addition of chemical warfare and how this plays into the "Red Wolf" character theme. This was well written, and I loved how the author really dug deep into the character of Mercury, where you felt both his physical and mental pain. A few editing mishaps, but otherwise good.

8) Forged in Silver (three stars)- by Roxie Rivera
Silver left the mess that was EM when their mission blew to hell. Hiding under the radar for years, Silver became an international thief, stealing art, jewelry and intel. When he is captured and hauled back to Elite Metal, he is not welcomed back with open arms. His old team died, and the other teams he fought alongside don't want him because of his "job" after they all parted ways. Silver is sent on solo missions for the team, courtesy of their benefactor, known only as "Warbucks". His only connection to the EM team is Poppy Jones, Warbucks' face and voice for the team. Their back and forth banter through monthly status checks over text is funny and flirtatious. When Warbucks manufactures the pair to tackle the same mission, Silver cannot deny his attraction for Poppy any longer. Poppy, on the other hand, is reluctant to start something, despite her body's reaction to Silver's mere presence. When Poppy finally allows herself to live, their culmination is H*A*W*T! When their mission proves fruitful, the EM team reluctantly accepts Silver back into the fold.

The epilogue of all 8 stories is the reveal of Warbucks and his "ghosts". I was surpsied at the reveal, and I think readers will be too, especially because this ends on one hell of a cliff-hanger! I cannot wait to see how the authors explain this surprise, and to see if Red Wolf is captured once and for all!
Despite a few editing mishaps, this was a great anthology by some really talented authors. I highly recommend this series to anyone who believes in love.

The idea of this looked interesting. A couple groups of elite soldiers on a mission gone bad are reunited two years later to capture the man they failed to capture on their failed mission. A different author writes each soldier’s story following the main plot. So far, I have read Steele’s story and part of Chrome’s story. I have not greatly enjoyed them like many other reviewers. The first two seem to be written by the same author, though, (I have never read her before) so I have hope for the others and will keep going.

Bound by Steele - Jennifer Kacey and Anna Alexander

2 stars

Adam Steele led the failed mission. He gave the go ahead to make a move on their target even though his CIA contact was MIA. It resulted in many of his fellow soldiers being killed. Two years later, he’s working on an oil rig under a different identity after his family has been told he died. He’s drugged and abducted from the oil rig and taken to a secret compound where he meets Poppy, Alayna and the “ghosts”. The ghosts and Poppy “work for” Warbucks, a secret benefactor who funds the “Elite Metal” team. Alayna has been recruited already and they are trying to recruit Steele. The first mission is “Red Wolf” - the man they were after on the failed mission.

Alayna is “Venus”, the CIA operative Steele used as a contact for the failed mission. He does not know this, though. He’s told Venus is dead, which is good, because he blames the failed mission on her. He thinks she betrayed him and the other soldiers. That’s not the case, though. So, Steele and Alayna go to Las Vegas with a cover of being married and they’ll be going to a BDSM club to capture the CIA handler that gave up Alayna’s identity and caused the failed mission.

So, they’ve known each other less than a day and she’s licking his nipples through his shirt on the plane while he’s cupping her pussy. By that evening, they’re having sex (of course he dominates her). The next day, they’re in the BDSM club and he’s fucking on her while she’s strung from a hook by her bound hands on a stage in the club. By this point, they both think they love the other.

Steele then finds out who Alayna is by reviewing pictures of their mark and noticing she’s very familiar with the Red Wolf. He flips out and makes an asshole comment about putting his dick in the same place a terrorist has. Like he had no idea what her job description entailed when she was a CIA operative. I wanted to kick him in the junk.

It goes on from there.

For being undercover, they barely ever used their undercover names and actually spoke their real names out loud to each other constantly. Alayna had supposedly been moving from shelter to shelter around the country for the two years since the failed mission, but had time to get a Brazilian. Alayna was seriously injured during the failed mission and moved from shelter to shelter afterward to keep herself safe, but who paid for her medical care? Why would they bother with that and then turn her out to live in shelters? Also, I think another proofreader or two could've helped. Blah.

I already have a good idea who the “ghosts” are and a theory about Warbucks, too.

Chrome's Salvation - Jennifer Kacey

2 stars

Chrome is on a flight to Colorado and Cammie is his seat mate. She has a baby with her and the baby will not stop crying. Chrome is super annoyed, but ends up making nice with Cammie. Chrome seems like a decent guy. Cammie seems interesting. Chrome is fascinated with Cammie and follows her in the airport. He’s drugged and abducted in the airport parking lot, though. He’s taken to the secret compound where Steele tries to recruit him. He doesn’t want anything to do with Elite Metal, but they end up blackmailing him with Cammie. She’s the head of a domestic/international adoption agency and her young brother and sister have been kidnapped because she refused to along with an adoption scheme Red Wolf is planning. Chrome becomes her protection until they get the brother and sister back.

Cammie turns in to the most uninteresting doormat once she’s paired with Chrome. She acts like a teenager. A whiny, crying teenager. Definitely NOT the head of an international adoption agency. And, of course, Chrome is a dominant and they’re having sex the first night together at Cammie’s house. They missed the visit to the local BDSM club, but he has a "bag of toys" back home.

They both said "I love you" within 3 or 4 days of meeting. Way too fast for me.

I hope the rest of these are not BDSM stories. While I occasionally choose to read BDSM stories, I’m kind of picky about them.

Adamantium's Roar - Anna Alexander

2 stars

Beth is forced to whore herself out for a bookie named Chesterfield after her husband, Jason, racks up loans in excess of $500K and then dies in a car accident (after getting drunk and screwing around on Beth with two women at a bar). Adamantium was friends with Beth and her husband in college and always had a thing for Beth. He joined the military the day after Beth and Jason announced their engagement. Two years after Jason died in the car accident, he sees Beth in a bar with Chesterfield. She thinks he's dead and is shocked to see him when he follows her to the bathroom. Once he finds out what Beth is doing, he decides to save her. He "kidnaps" her from Chesterfield's house where she does nothing but keep herself in shape and prepared to whore herself out to whoever Chesterfield gives her to next. Ant declares his love for her and he and Beth have sex at the hotel where he stashes her that night. She fakes an orgasm just to get it over with. She needs bondage, etc, to get off. Later, they come across Chrome and Cammie having sex in the woods - Cammie is tied to some trees while Chrome whips her and that's when Ant discovers Beth's needs. They go back to their cabin and have dirty sex where Ant calls her a slut and she goes cold on him. This is where Sterling is introduced. He's apparently a "true dom" and he spanks Beth a few times to convince her she's not a whore, but a slut. Everything ends happily ever after. Gag.

Pure Copper - Heather Long

4 stars

I enjoyed this one so much more than the others. Copper (Sachi) and Gabriel are the main characters. Copper is female and a member of Elite Metal. Gabriel is an ex-CIA operative and he's one of three suspects that Copper has to investigate in relation to the failed mission two years ago. Gabriel recognizes Copper from a couple of incidents prior to the failed mission. Copper is a master at disguise, but he recognizes her walk/stride/sashay and has been trying to locate her. When she's sent to investigate him, he recognizes her and sparks fly. The tension was good and the feelings more believable than in the preceding stories. Also, there wasn't any forced BDSM play, so that was a plus.

Sterling's Seduction - Sabrina York

2 stars

Eh. Too quick. Roni is a reporter for a National Enquirer type rag. She's blackmailed in to it by her step-father. He holds her wheelchair-bound sister "hostage" and he's sent her on a job to investigate the Elite Metal team. Her cover is a waitress in Bone Daddy's (local MC dive) and Sterling recognizes her from the time he was a consultant on movie scripts between the time of the failed mission and joining Elite Metal - she planting recording equipment to dig up dirt on one of the movie's stars. Anyway, Sterling is assigned to figure out what she's up to. They end up having sex that evening and then he kidnaps her back to the Elite Metal compound where she spends the night in a cell. The next day, she tells them she hates her step-father, about her sister and about how dirty her step-father is. She ends up working with them and they let her stay with Sterling in his cabin, where he just happens to have a "play room". They engage in spankings and restraints, etc. He makes her call him "Sir". They've known each other two days. Woo hoo!

Platinum's Choice - Rebecca Royce

4 stars

I enjoyed Platinum's story. I liked the back and forth between past and present and that the hero and heroine had that history. It made the relationship so much more believable. I also liked that Platinum was not chatty and open - that he only really opened up with Rose.

Mercury's Poison - Saranna DeWylde

4 stars

I enjoyed Mercury's story. It was a little out there with his mad scientist history, but I liked his heroine and their story.

Forged in Silver - Roxie Rivera

3 stars

I liked this story, also. However, I thought Poppy kind of deviated a lot from how she was presented throughout the other stories. Then again, nothing of personal consequence was presented in the other stories, so that was probably a front. She just seemed a bit too soft here. I liked Silver's playfulness and that he didn't have a need to tie Poppy up and make her call him "Sir".

Can I give 10 stars ??? Wow, wow, wow, I was impressed by this series of stories!!. Elite Metal brings the excitement with classy high quality novellas that grab hold of an great theme and take it the limit. Everything about Elite Metal is well executed. I loved the way each story built on the previous one and moved the tale forward. This anthology reads fast and was easy to get interested in. The stories are well written. The deeply thought-filled characters are superb, and the Elite Metal team is a crew of ex-military friends. These hot alphas the guys and gals, are sizzling with sexy lustiness. Each story leads to the next.

I took the time to write a complete review of each story, because this set is so worth reading, it is very impressive!!

Bound By Steele, is Steele's story and the fated "Operation Phoenix" -Zinc is killed in the betrayal. The mysterious Elite Metal Team owner, the chance to get revenge, the Marines gathered to become Elite Metal, set up the whole anthology.
Big Bad Steele meets Alayna and the sparks fly. They have a mission, bad guys to get to, and in the process, super hot BDSM sex.
=======================
Chrome's Salvation, is Chrome's story. He doesn't know he's being set up, and truly falls for the lady on the plane. Cassie is a key in the bad guy's puzzle. The Team must make sure Cassie and the adoptive kids aren't lured in to the evil plan.
Chrome and Cassie are super hot. I loved him with Cassie in the next story, where he has her tied between two trees, etc. Totally panty melting scene. Each story gets us a new way to get Red Wolf. ENJOY !!
=======================
Adamantium's Roar, Adamantium's story. Beth, from his past, was the love of his life, but she belonged to his best friend. This story was good. "Ant" turns out to be her avenging angel. He kidnaps her from the mean bookie who uses her and has taken her daughter. Beth has issues from being captive so long. She needs the BDSM lifestyle, and Ant must learn it. Great scene with Chrome and Cassie, and then later when a teammate, Sterling, gives Ant and Beth a Dom/s lesson. Ant needs to learn BDSM techniques to be able to help her. They must work together to take down the bad guys. The Elite Metal Team keeps growing and getting farther along towards their goal, nailing Red Wolf.
=======================
Pure Copper, Copper is a female member of the Elite Metal team. Mercury, her "brother" in foster care, still watches over her. Copper is a trained Marine in her own right, has lost a loved one, Brad/Tungsten, and has three targets to find, figure out, and deal with the one who is a dirty operative.
She falls hard for Gabriel, former CIA, and the sex is very emotional and deep. Getting closer to Red Wolf.
=======================
Sterling's Seduction, Sterling is the one who helped Ant and Beth with the tutoring in BDSM. He is an alpha military Marine hottie who captures "Roni's" attention. They each are having the best sex of their lives, and he discovers she is a reporter. She cannot tell the world about the Elite Metal Team. Twists and turns, suspense, deep characters and hot sex make this tale great. She ends up helping the team. The continuing theme of finding the bad guy expands once again. Sterling and Roni are terrific together.
=======================
Platinum's Choice, Platinum's story. Plat is a sniper and in Elite Metal. The have missions and take down anyone in the way. No one knows he has a son, 7yrs. old. Plat didn't know for years either. He has kept watch over him from a distance, sent money, and did the best he could. He met Rose, the teacher while he had hung out watching from afar. Rose and Platinum had a torrid affair, and then, pow, he was taken to be in the EM Team. A year later, he discovers that his boy and Rose have disappeared and a sniper is set on taking them out to get back at him. He rescues them, re-kindles his fire with Rose and meets his son. The team helps, lots of suspense, hot sex, deep devotion, true feelings, and love make this story wonderful. As always, each tale draws the Team closer to the objective, take down the bad guy.
=======================
Mercury's Poison, Mercury's story. He was once handsome, a Doctor who was maimed by his own creation. Others died and he carries the survivor guilt. Then he finds out it wasn't his fault. This tale was a wild, hot ride with fast paced riveting interest, Well written and so engrossing, I couldn't put it down!! I read it in no time. A fascinating doctor named Hazel, helps the homeless. She sees the real "person" within and wants and needs him desperately. Totally hot sex and real emotions draw him. The bad guys are ever close, hurt Hazel, and the Team takes her in as one of their own. I enjoyed this quick flowing story.
========================
I love any Roxie Rivera story. You all should definitely read her Russian Series.

Forged In Silver, Quicksilver's story. Silver has been a thief and riding on the wrong side of the tracks, until he's kidnapped and offered a chance with the EM Team. He has to work alone for a year to prove himself, and his distanced relationship with Poppy has grown. Finally he is assigned a mission in Texas, which happens to be with Poppy. The attraction is mutual. The hints and flirts come full circle. Super hot sexiness with Silver and Poppy. Fast paced as the rest, this story is interesting, emotional, and intriguing. Red Wolf is crumbling. This whole set is fabulously written, and hard to put down. BIG SURPRISE ENDING !! Total happy ending, but with a few questions to keep you thinking !!
(Copper is staring at Brad/Tungsten, who died years ago) !!!

Loved, Loved, Loved this anthology of connected tales. ENJOY !!!!

Elite Metal is a collection of multiple authors who not only write a fantastic series but they integrate the other authors stories into theirs. These stories are based on an elite group of soldiers (ghosts) that after a mission gone bad & declared dead, then set up with new IDs are reunited two years later, set up a new covert op’s group and work to capture the man responsible for their failed mission.

Sterling’s Seduction by Sabrina York

A story that is very “Sabrina York” in feel, laden with emotion and two characters that are blindsided by the very palpable emotions and connection between them. Holed away at their compound outside of Deep Ellum, Texas, while this super-secret team of Elite Recon special ops soldiers know they aren’t ‘invisible’, they don’t expect that any trails would solid enough to lead to them.

Until Roni, a journalist with a National Enquirer-like ragsheet working under duress for her stepfather, trying to gain custody of her sister, injured in the crash that killed their mother. I liked Roni: determined, driven and intelligent, her connection to Sterling is a huge conflict for her, even as she is 99.9% certain he’s more bluster than action where she is concerned. The outlook for Roni’s safety isn’t good, until she openly shares information with the team about her boss, and her true motives come forward. Roni despises Marcus, chafes at his pulling of her strings as if she was a marionette, and she knows that she is able to outthink, if not necessarily outmaneuver him. But there is Annabelle to think of, her sister, wheelchair bound and under Marcus’ thumb.

Sterling was blessed with a boatload of “I don’t give a F***” that allows him to function and do his job. But Roni’s appearance is like rain in the desert, she gives nourishment to hope and emotions that he thought were long buried and gone. Afraid of emotions that are more tender: Sterling’s life is better for him (he thinks) with clear rules, guidelines and outcomes. While not thrilled with the formation of, and his inclusion in this unit: it is his family, his allegiance and his duty. Roni throws all of that carefully constructed façade out of the window, and has him a bit flummoxed. OK – a LOT flummoxed, and everyone on the team, particularly the leader Steele, sees his confusion. And knows the reason is guilt and hurt, anger and loss, and the leftover fear from not being able to make a difference when it counted. And Sterling can ALWAYS make a difference.

With Roni joining forces with the guys, working as a double agent to help bring down her boss and some really bad characters, and the promise made to free Annabelle from Marcus’ control, the story goes left, right, in circles and left again, with poor Sterling hanging on by his fingertips desperately trying to control, protect and decide the outcome. And guess what? Readers are feeling every bump in the road along with him.

So much fun, so much heat in the connection between Roni and Sterling, and who doesn’t love seeing a man completely flummoxed by the new woman in his life? And poor Sterling is – dancing on the edge of control in every encounter, until they are alone and Roni’s malleable and submissive side emerges. Then he’s in control of her, but not always of his own reactions.

But that’s so completely in keeping with his personality: the all or nothing guy who never found a connection as all-encompassing, and his struggle to deal with it. I can only hope that the other stories in this collection pack such a punch.

I received an eArc copy of the title for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Elite Metal: Eight Novel Cohesive Military Romance Boxed Set" is the introductory collection to the 'Elite Warriors' series. These eight tales are unified by the backstory which involves a group of highly trained operatives who are the survivors of an op that went horribly wrong and decimated their numbers. Relocated, renamed, and disbanded, the survivors have been eking out an existence, only to be thrust back into action by a mysterious figure who has dangled the carrot of revenge in front of them. These stories detail the beginning of their respective recoveries as each spotlighted soldier finds a person who helps them deal with the ever-present darkness that prevents them from beginning to heal from the wounds to their spirits and psyches.

This group of stories will provide hours of entertainment as exciting action and mystery is combined with intensely erotic and sensual interludes. The fascinating melding of various authors' styles with a unifying theme and characters who carry over from one story to the next makes this a delightful concept that I can only hope engenders many more volumes in this series. There is a fun super-hero quality to many of the individuals featured in these stories while the poignancy of the horrific experiences that have shaped them makes one ache for what they have gone through.

I particularly enjoyed Heather Long's "Pure Copper" because I like my heroines to be just as capable as their partners and the back and forth between the very efficient and lethal Copper/Sachi James and the sexy and equally capable Gabriel Danvers reminded me of the movie, "Mr. & Mrs. Smith".

One of my favorite erotic romance authors, Sabrina York, has a delightful story in "Sterling's Seduction" that pits a nosy reporter against a honed killing-machine who unwillingly succumbs to the pigtail-wearing woman. Ms. York provides her trademark quirky visuals with statements such as: "His cock understood it immediately; it perked up like a meerkat on the Serengeti."

Jennifer Kasey's "Bound by Steele" (co-written with Anna Alexander) and "Chrome's Salvation" provide a drool-worthy but gut-wrenching introduction to the men who serve as the leaders to the resurrected group and the rest of the stories do a great job of enhancing the mystique behind this unique group. I look forward to reading even more of their adventures!

I originally received this anthology as a review copy but bought my own to support the authors, can't beat the price!

This is one intense book. You are catapulted into the action from the start and it never lets up. Throw in some sexy marines, compelling stories and some kick ass action and you have one wonderful boxset.

This boxset is amazing. The stories flow from one to the other and read like a well-tuned novel. The authors played so very well together and I couldn’t be more pleased. I can’t even give individual reviews, because I would just be repeating myself over and over.

These warriors were family. One bad mission separated them and then one secret organization brings them back together. The concept is fresh, the names are genius and the stories are great fun.

We start with the heartbreaking tale of what happened to separate the team. The events are so heartbreaking and tragic. What happens to them is devastating and then continues with the cruel dismantling of the group. As the team is slowly brought back together, we see how much pain and sorrow they are fighting through.

This is a brilliant boxset that isn’t just some common stories grouped together. It is well thought out and kept me reading until the very end. I could continue the gush-fest, but I won’t. It would get old quickly and I’m not going to waste your time, when you should just go to your favorite bookseller and get Elite Metal. It is the best deal out there!

Oh my, what can I say? Buy it, read it, you'll love it. This is a fantastic group of stories linked together like a series.
Bound by Steele by Jennifer Kacey and Anna Alexander gave us the story of Steele. Well written and leading into the intriguing stories that follow, I enjoyed this opening book.
Chrome's Salvation by Jennifer Kacey gives us the story of Chrome, the second team leader who was erased after a mission went bad. Well written story that gives more explanation of why the new team forming has 2 leaders.
Adamantium's Roar by Anna Alexander is a fun read on the character of Adamantium. This book starts rounding out the rest of the new forming team of ex marines and the bonds they are rebuilding.
Pure Copper by Heather Long is the story of the only female being brought back into the team. Another fun read with a sassy female warrior.
Rounding out the cast of characters we meet Sterling in Sabrina York's contribution, Sterling's Seduction. As always Sabrina delivers a well written story with great characters, lots of spice and laced with humor. I loved Sterling and Roni's story.
Platinum's Choice by Rebecca Royce adds the story of Platinum to the team. Well written with wonderful characters, this story is a pleasure to read.
Mercury's Poison by Saranna DeWylde adds another layer of drama with the story of Mercury. I enjoyed Mercury and Hazel's story and was sorry when it came to an end.
To tie up any lose ends Roxie Rivera brought us the story of Silver in Forged In Silver. A fantastic story of Silver and Poppy, this story was well written and funny. A totally fun read, Roxie left us with a not too surprising end, with just enough wiggle room to leave us hoping for another set of Elite Metal books. Dare I say it? Zinc, Tungsten, Tin, Nickel, Thallium, Lithium, Uranium and of course, Titanium. Ladies, fandamntastic job!! I'm hopeful we'll see another action packed, steamy, funny set of books in the future.

Mercury’s Poison by Saranna DeWylde – Oh my goodness this one will tear your heart out.

The book downloaded on my Kindle yesterday and I spent all day reading these fantastic romantic suspense stories. I couldn’t/wouldn’t put it down. The guys and gals in this collection drew me in and wouldn’t let me go until the end and then they hinted that there may be more. I do hope so. These talented authors each wrote a fantastic story about their assigned character, included the other characters and still each story will stand alone. These men and women made me laugh, cry, growl, and sigh.

Before I start let me clarify that I've only read Chrome's book in this box set and this review is only about that book. I will also say that the premise intrigued me enough that I've pre-ordered the book because I want to see what happens to the other team members. Overall I enjoyed Chrome's book, but it didn't grab me and not let go. I wanted to know ultimately what happened, but I would have preferred to read Steele's story first because I feel like I might have gotten a little more background on the team's past. Chrome was an interesting character. He was rugged and tough but clearly has a softer side that even he doesn't know much about. The instant love/lust thing wasn't working for me very well in this book though. I usually prefer my characters to have a little more interaction before deciding they love each other. It's hard for me to feel the love when they hardly know anything about each other. I did however find myself laughing throughout the book and falling for Chrome's bad boy charm a time or two. The BDSM elements were pretty sexy and while it didn't go into what I would consider heavy BDSM territory it was a nice dive into the shallow end (my shallow end may be a bit deeper than yours though lol). The book could have been a little more polished, but the overall plot was there and as I said before I want to read the rest of the books in the box set and see where each person lands.

I have only had the pleasure of reading Sabrina York's Sterling's Seduction in this set. Let me tell you if the rest of this set is as awesomely hot and dramatic as Sterling's story then you are in for one really steaming hot treat.

Sterling and his team are enjoying an evening out when they encounter someone Sterling is sure he has seen before. He sets out to use his powers of seduction to find out who she is and what she wants.

"Candy" has a few powers of seduction of her own. When these two set out to seduce each other, oh my look out. Things quickly turn HOT and a little spicy as well.

I don't want to tell you too much about the story because you are going to want to enjoy the fine details yourself when you read this great set. I will tell you that I loved the team work of the Elite Metal group. These guys and their gals have a pattern of working together to get what needs done accomplished quickly and efficiently.

Sabrina York has once again created wonderful characters that have a lot of charisma, passion, and a storyline with plenty of drama and suspense.

This series is set up so that each story connection to each other. I can't wait to read the whole set so I can see what happens to each of the team members.

I was given the opportunity to read this story so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you on Sterling Seduction.

Eight connected books by eight authors. I'll do a short review on each book as I go along.

Book one - Bound by Steele - 3* stars

Good start to the series, although I'm not a fan of BDSM. Book had a few editing issues, and I would have liked more information on where/how the team all came to have metal related nicknames.

All in all though it was enough to keep me interested and wanting to read the next one.

Book Two - Chrome's Salvation - 3*

I see a theme starting to happen here. Apart from the same kind of editing issues as in the first book, the BDSM type book with an alpha male carries on. A case of Insta-love between Chrome And Cammie. Still waiting to hear more about the team, but things are starting to move along.

Book Three - Adamantium's Roar - 3 1/2*

Beth and Ant knew each other from high school and college. Beth was married to Ant's former best friend. They haven't seen each other for many years when Ant bumps into Beth at a bar. Things move swiftly from there. It still has the BDSM theme and Insta-love, only this time Ant has no clue what he is supposed to do with a submissive and brings in one of the other guys to help. While I liked the general plot of this one better, I'm still not comfortable with bringing another guy in. Problem is - now I want to know what happens, how it all wraps up and who the ghosts are and who Warbucks is.

>Review - Elite Metal -

>I received this anthology from the authors and from Paranormal Romance and Authors that Rock. I am an independent reviewer. This is the first book in the Elite Warrior Series and ends in a cliffhanger.

>This anthology consists of 8 stories that flow one from the other. Each of the stories are written by different authors yet are equally entertaining. The anthology begins with the introduction to the team commander, Steele. His story is also the backstory into what happened to 3 covert special ops teams when a Russian op goes bad.

>A mysterious wealthy benefactor brings the surviving members back together in order to right the wrongs done to them in the past. Each story stars a different member and is equally hot, intense and suspenseful. These members are damaged and ready for revenge on the man responsible for their Russian op going sideways, Red Wolf.

>The best thing about this series is not the overload of Alpha males, but the fact that the females are Alpha as well. Each Elite Op member meets their perfect match. Having a true Alpha pair makes for a truly refreshing read. Lovers of all things sexy, military, suspenseful and alpha will LOVE this anthology. I cannot wait for more.

> This book is for an adult audience. Many of the stories involve aspects of BDSM.
