Callum Johnstone discovered early on that when you’re challenged in the height department, humour is the easiest way to deflect unwanted attention. Working for White Cairns Ski School in Scotland, he's found the love of his life — but she has him placed firmly in the 'friend zone' and it’s easier to make her laugh than risk telling her how he really feels.

Debbie McNeill knows that if she can just pass her instructor exams and lose a few extra pounds of weight, she’s bound to meet her tall, dark and handsome Mr Right — just like in the romance novels she loves to read. But so far, life hasn't emulated fiction and her love-life has been a non-starter.

When a competition gives Callum the chance to shine, he's torn. He has to decide whether to run away and mend his aching heart, or stay and give love one final chance.

"Snow Blind" is the 5th novella from the 'Secrets in the Snow' series about a Scottish snowsports school.

Whilst this is a stand-alone book, you might enjoy reading the series from the first episode, "Winter Arrives". Episodes 1 - 4, and 3 short stories are also available. The series will complete in 2015 with Episode 6.

I love this series and I'm a bit gutted it's nearly over. Maybe there will be a next generation? Or we could follow some of the characters in spin-off episodes?

In this instalment, there are few big surprises that bowled me over - I really wasn't expecting on in particular, and I've got to admit I've rarely felt as much despise for a character as I did for one of the characters in this story.

The romance - is gorgeous. It's sweet, innocent, a little clumsy, realistic.

I'm fully behind Jude now. Can't wait to see what her next move is.

And Spock...interesting times ahead for that young man.

I recommend this fully, but start at the beginning of the series, as the story and the characters develop continuously.

AH! Snow Blind is the best in the White Cairns Secrets in the Snow series yet!

It's quite a bit longer than the other stories so far, and this time we really get into the juicy bits, so to speak, with the characters. There's an accident, an unexpected arrival, and Jude might finally be 'growing a pair'.

I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT WAIT to find out what happens in the final episode - WRITE FASTER, ROZ MARSHALL. You're KILLING me!!

A fabulous little read - probably the best one to read as a stand-alone book, if you're so inclined, too. Great characterisation and action is what Roz Marshall does best - you won't be disappointed.

I purchased Snow Blind by Roz Marshall and this review was given freely.
Another drama packed short story with a cliff hanger ending. Debbie sees Ben in a compromising position. Callum's Saturday secret is finally revealed. Things become interesting between Debbie and Callum. Mike catches Allan being unfaithful, and Jude plans for the off skiing season only to have Allan return.

Short

This one was way too short. It moves the plot along and I think there is only one episode left, but this is work to keep adding all of these to my reader! It would be so much better as a single book!

Return of the husband not HEA

Honey I'm home! Allan is back with no warning, long stories why he couldn't send money. In the first paragraph you know he is nothing but trouble. Now we will see if Jude is strong enough to stand up for h e itself and get heritage

Once again, a 'review' of my own book, to give you some background.

I may have mentioned before that although not every episode so far has been a romance, the overall 'Secrets in the Snow' series will be a romance. But this episode definitely is a romance!

At the beginning of the series, we learn that some of the characters have secrets that they're hiding from those around them. And now, as the series draws to a close (this is the penultimate episode) these secrets are gradually being revealed...

The main characters this time are Callum and Debbie, and we discover more about their backgrounds, and what makes them tick. We also learn more about how Jude and Allan got together, and a little more about Spock and Mike.

This is my longest story so far (30k words/120 pages), and I suspect that the final episode (which I've started writing) will be longer still...

If you decide to read this book, I hope you enjoy it! I had great fun writing it :-)

The Secrets in the Snow series has more twists than a corkscrew! Snow Blind is full of surprises, some of them good and others just horrible. However, as the series is moving towards a climax, decisions are being made and lives being changed. I find it interesting that a book of this nature could draw so many strong emotions from me, from real happiness to fury! One becomes really invested in the characters and I truly hope that as the story winds up that justice will be served. Callum's character is so endearing and as he steps out of his comfort zone, you realise that he has so much more going for him than the joker on the ski slopes. My heart goes out to Jude. With being thrown in the lurch, she has grown into a capable woman, but old habits die hard. I received a free copy of this book from the author, and this is my honest and voluntary review.

This is an interesting and unique story about a group of ski instructors. In this installment we follow Callum's story. After a talent show he realizes this could be his chance for happiness. This is the only mini series I have been able to follow, or found worthy of the readers time. Too many of them don't contain enough to be a story, but this author has perfected the idea of episodes. We also are left with a teaser and wondering where the author is going to go now that one character is back in the story. Excellent read, can't wait for the next installment.
