Technical terms are explained too simple for someone new to economics, which makes it harder to keep up in some chapters. Making it through the slow first part of this book rewards you with satisfying moments in the second and third part, where a lot of the concepts come together. Not too informative on general economics but thorough in its dissection of the hyperinflation of the weimar republic.

Short, well structured, well written (read in German) and covering basics. Highly recommend although describing an idea of money which was even outdated at the time. But one has to understand the origin in order to see it’s historic path and future trajectory.
