“He is the most feared duke in England. She is the only woman unafraid to touch him.”
Five years ago, a fire turned Gideon, Duke of Montrose, into a legend whispered in terror, the Beast of Ironwood. Scarred, reclusive, and ruthlessly cold, he has shut himself away from society… and from desire itself.
Until Seraphina Vance arrives at his door.
Desperate to save her family from ruin, Seraphina makes a dangerous Three months in Ironwood Hall. Three months restoring the duke’s vast, neglected library. In exchange, her brother’s debt is forgiven.
There is only one condition.
She must never touch him.
But rules are fragile things when temptation shares the same roof.
Gideon is darkness, restraint, and barely leashed hunger. Seraphina is warmth, courage, and a defiance that awakens everything he has buried. Every glance lingers. Every almost-touch burns. And every night brings them closer to a line neither can afford to cross.
Because the greatest danger in Ironwood Hall is not the Beast…
…it is the desire he can no longer control.
A scorching Regency romance featuring a scarred duke, forbidden proximity, and slow-burn tension that ignites into irresistible passion.
No cheating. No cliffhangers. Just a deeply satisfying happily ever after.
Tempting the Beast is another entertaining and unputdownable romance by Megan J Walker. I loved Seraphina and Gideon's story. It was romantic and powerful. They went through a lot to be together and their journey was so emotional and sometimes angsty. I just love a story with a mysterious and scarred hero who gets the girl in the end.
A beauty and the beast trope, with some writing flair at times, but I found it to be repetitive and predictable. The instant attraction and instalove was a bit cheesy. Also, I found the author’s use of the language of the aristocracy of the time was a bit overdone, especially when describing intimacy. Ultimately, I DNF’d at 33% having lost interest.
