I had always prided myself on managing them well. Then one night David Keith inserted himself into my life and everything changed. David was handsome, sexy, powerful.
I was addicted to him. And he was addicted to me.
So my priorities shifted, expanded— and I was more than fine with that. So what was the problem? Nothing except that dating a billionaire comes with… complications.
BLURB: Part I: Samantha Sharp always knew her direction in life. Do well in school, attend a top university, graduate with honors. Having secured a plum gallery job right after graduation, she was well on her way to accomplishing her goals. That is, until a chance meeting with a handsome stranger made her question her life’s entire course.
Billionaire David Keith was sexy, successful, and on the wish list of every woman in San Francisco. Sam knew it was dangerous to hope she was different than all the women David normally dated, but for the first time, success wasn’t the only thing on Samantha’s mind. Would this distraction be her undoing?

Great ending for a wonderful series . I love the right mixture of romance, sex scenes, angst and suspense! I definitely enjoy the rollercoaster ride reading experience! And David.. definitely one of my top favorite hero of all time!
THIS IS SO #highlyrecommended!
PS: Complimentary copy given by the author for an honest revie.
Suspense and intrigue are still a integral part of this story in " Determined to Win" and the electricity between David and Samantha s still High voltage and it is more than evident that they are all in! With the last book Ms . Brown had already set the bait, started reeling me and with this one I was on the boat deck flopping around just dying to see the outcome!
By now you now that Brian has found a way into David's penthouse and is responsible for Samantha finding out about. David's old fiancé' during college, forcing David to expose more of his insecurities to Samantha and it serves to ratchet up David's fear that Brian can ge to her and t is a huge fear the thought of Samantha being hurt or loosing her. Samantha however is facing her own insecurities , especially when David tells her he is going to work and she sees him , with a beautiful blonde, then again later when she goes to surprise him at his office the Blonde is there too and he sends Samantha on her way home, raising her suspicions that she is no enough for him to another level. The danger presented by Brian s far more dangerous and it has moved well past David.s security team handling it alone, the FBI and the police are brought in. Samntha's new employer Gina, and the way her temper can flair has Samantha a little freaked, so at David's suggestion she puts out some resumes just to have a fall back, it is not like she can tell Curtis she is not leaving now he already hired her replacement, but even having her resumes out their causes issues , because Curtis is getting calls for references and finds out the creep Evan Carmichael has been bad mouthing Samantha in the gallery industry! The dangers to David's business , his and Samantha's relationship, Samantha's health and her career keep mounting and when you least expect it the grim reaper makes an appearance !
Have questions ? Bet you do; is it David, is it Samantha, is it family, or freind? What's the blonde's relationship with David? Do they Get Brian? Do Samantha and David get an HEA? I ' ll never tell! Great trilogy, I thought the first two books were hard to put down , this was impossible.
Arc graciously provided by author for an honest review!
3.5 of 5. So this is where it all ends. We were left with questions in our minds with the way book 2 was concluded. WHAT?! How? Why? Who? We get our answers in Determined to Win. I thought that this was a great ending to a first series from a new author. What started out as an okay-read turn into something more!
There were lots of twists in this installment that was missing from the first two books in the series, some that I didn’t even suspect! I guess the author has been holding back on us from the start, eh? ;)
To be honest this particular series isn’t my fancy since I’m so over the billionaire trope ages ago, but this author did a good job with holding my interest (as you can see, I can be a snob – lol) and I managed to get through the entire series in a short time.
I can tell as early as now that Ms Elizabeth Brown has more in store for us and I’d definitely keep a lookout for her future titles!
Well I wanted angst and drama I got that in bucket fulls.
I found the characters likeable and their relationship heart warming. Hot CEO falls for beautiful girl their relationship is realistic has its everyday ups and downs and like all new relationships they can't get enough of each other.
Davids a millionaire or even Billionaire and despite having money to buy anything he's down to earth, they both are making them both identifiable to the reader nothing is over the top or too lavish that you can't visualise and it makes the characters likeable.
Loved the plot the twists and turns the excitement and anticipation it brought and I loved the realistic and humble ending.
Would love to read more from this author as she manages to hit every spot in a good hot romantic read.

In the final book of the Determined trilogy, we find David and Samantha as content as ever with each other. Their relationship is jovial and easy-going. That is, until Sam is out for a run and sees David exit a building and get into his SUV with an unknown blonde woman (when he was suppose to be at work). Sam also sees the same woman in David's office when she surprises him with coffee.
Thinking about that situation causes Sam to doubt the strength of their relationship. Not to mention the fact that she's having second thoughts about her new job and Brian, David's old college roomie, is still a threat.
When Sam wakes up on the morning that is her last day of work at the art gallery, she doesn't expect the call she receives from Eve. It seems that David has taken things to a much more personal level. So when the FBI asks for her assistance to catch him, Samantha agrees.
In my review of the previous book, I mentioned my suspicions about the neighbor, Greg, and I am pleased to announce that I was semi-right... You have to read the book to find out what Greg's story is (because that would be a really juicy spoiler that I don't want to give away), but it caused me to do a double-take. Like, 'Did I read that right?'. That was certainly a twist!
I think the ending of this book was my favorite part. Samantha is headstrong (she's also worried about what her and David have together)and she sort of messes up David's plans. I thought it was funny how she didn't have any clue what she was talking about and she almost walked away from the surprise.
This is a quick, interesting, and exciting read! A perfect ending to a good trilogy.
Recommended if you have read the other two in the series.
This is the final book in the Determined trilogy. As the romance between Samantha and David continues so does the mystery and intrigue. Danger has begun to follow Samantha around and David is doing everything he can to protect her. Sam and David although totally in love both still have some insecurities which leads to some misunderstandings and separates them and David doesn't help matters when he begins working long hours and weekends without any explanation to Sam as to why he's not paying any attention to her. She also catches him in some lies but she holds on as long as she can and then the final straw breaks the camels back and she wants out. But David can't/won't let her go. He knows he's walking a thin line by keeping so many secrets from Sam but he has his reasons. Eventually he is forced to tell her his secrets or lose her all together. But now that Sam knows what David has been keeping from her is she in more danger than ever? Things get very heavy for a while and we don't know what's going to happen to Sam. This book does have a HEA! I liked the characters, the romance and the intrigue. The writing style is very stiff at times. The writer writes dialogue as if it's a newspaper article and now how people talk in real life. This is not a quote from the book but it will give you an idea of what I'm talking about. "They will take care of everything. They are going to be busy. We will also be busy." Some of the dialogue is very stilted. I use contractions when I talk. Very seldom do I say 'they will', instead I say they'll. Or we're instead we are....etc... There was not enough of this to totally distract me from the book but enough to annoy me on occasion.
Well that was climactic, I had my theories and for the majority they were correct, I guess I am a good judge of fictional character after all ;-) This serial has had me intrigued from start to finish and I loved the relationship between David and Sam. Risks are taken and will they pay off? Will love conquer all or will evil trump good? For a beginner this serial was good, yes there are some little niggles that need ironing out but for a newbie I thoroughly enjoyed it. (full review to come)
I totally loved every. Single. Section of this story. The love of David and Samantha was so very beautiful. I was truly in the dark as to who the real culprit was as well. Read and enjoy!!
This is the final book on the Determined trilogy and what an explosive ending it was!
As Samantha and David are living their love affair and the threat of Brian (David's old college roommate ) is still very real.
I absolutely adore Samantha and her quick wit and sense of humor. She really does give David as much as he tries to give her. His money and power at his own company works nothing to Sam.
With security now much tighter after it was obvious that Brian had got into David's apartment Planting a box of old information regarding the death of David's ex fiancé for college without anyone knowing. so with the extra security comes Elliott Sam own personal detail he is funny, cute and married but that doesn't stop the banter between him and Sam. on a run together she discovers David with a blonde woman while he is supposed to be working. This plants a seed of doubt in her mind and his working non stop and avoidance of Sam she asks herself if David is really the one?
Along with David and his security, Sam is feeling a little on edge with her new boss, Gina especially after over hearing her losing it during a phone call. Add to that Evan whom basically tried to attack her while on a art trip, slagging her off to other gallery owners to try and destroy her.
It is when a phone call comes into Sam early on her last day at the gallery she is given some dreadful news. It is now that she needs David more than ever and his involvement with the FBI age hopes that with their help they can find the one responsible.
Without giving too much away, the FBI take a huge part in finding and taking Brian down along with his co- conspirators which I would never have guessed who it actually was.... Right up to the end of the book I was unsure what was going to happen with David and Sam, I really wanted them to be OK and live happily ever after, but it is to you to find out if they do or don't survive!
Huge hi 5 goes to the author of this great trilogy. Her writing style is what I love and her character descriptions are awesome.
1. There was too much repetition of previous info and events from the prior 2 books. I'm not sure what reader in her right mind would pick up book 3 of a trilogy without reading the first 2. What a waste of space.
2. That she was set up to be kidnapped by both the authorities and approval of her BF and that this is in any way legal or without additional trauma to her is just RIDICULOUS.
3. Also ridiculous was that she was avoiding telling her friends and family that she moved in with him... without the author exploring this at all -- why include this at all?
4. That crappy building and proposal at the end and the presumptions that he knows what's best for her without any sort of discussion? Why we couldn't have another chapter of aftermath from the kidnapping? Everyone she had met LIED to her and she was questioning their relationship all day -- this just gets ignored? That he spent weekends away from her in a relatively new relationship to do what he did seemed weird, out of left field, even for a billionaire.
5. There were plenty of typos, grammar errors and strangely worded sentences.
6. So he wrote her a note after their first fight and she was going to read it later... but she never does! What was the point?
Still not crazy about the name Sam Sharp... she sounds like a PI out of a 1940's murder mystery.

I'm absolutely satisfied with this conclusion of Sam & David. A tailspin romance that seemed to be happenstance, but turns out-- it was orchestrated. The love that you read on these pages feels genuine.
My favorite part of this series is while David Keith is a billionaire and you know it-- the book doesn't reek too much of his money. He isn't controlling, and he actually respects Sam. That made the read enjoyable. The relationship was real (with some arguments that are maturely handled, for the most part) and the book was full of suspense, love, and friendship.
DETERMINED TO WIN is the thrilling conclusion to the DETERMINED series. It's full of action, suspense, romance and drama. Someone from Davi's past is hellbent on destroying him, even if that means hurting the one woman who he loves- Samantha. I found this book to be very hard to put down. I just had to finish it to see what was going to happen. Lots of twists to keep you guessing. Recommended!
Last book in Sam and David's lives and this one is the best. This one has action, suspense and filled with intensity. There are a few surprises although the author and to downplay these it definitely makes the story better. The beginning is again filled with introduction from first book instead of brief comments. Good ending
Yes, soft version of Fifty Shades. No, not as bad written as Fifty Shades. In fact, this was surprisingly good. Fucking perfect, if you ask me. It had so many plot twists, so many moments when I gasped and the ending point just left me "Oh my fucking God, NO!". Great series, great story. Literally. Sweet and funny at points. Pure romance.
I just finished this trilogy which really could have been one book. I didn't really like how Samantha even though she was intelligent was always saying yes. She had thoughts and a mind of her own but she was so blindly attracted to David that whatever he said she just went a long with it.
