Parker Ryan is successful lawyer working at a great firm. What you wouldn't know is, that he is really unhappy. It seems whatever he does is never good enough for his father, more so since the moment he came out to his family as gay. He thinks this might possibly always be the way his life will be. When his car breaks down, he meets Liam Davis, a sexy mechanic that seems to bring out his bad side. Their initial meeting was not very pleasant, but there is something about the enigmatic Liam that has Parker captivated. Liam has a past he wants to forget, one that he had ran away from, and one he wants to keep buried. He doesn't want to like Parker but spending time with him becomes his favourite time of his day. Each day they get closer and the tension between them rises until they can't deny their attraction for each other.

It was not hard to connect or love these characters. Liam was broken from his horrible past that just broke my heart completely for him. Liam was still a kind and sweet man despite it. I was super intrigued by him since we knew so little about him. His heart shone through which is what made me fall for him. And once his past was revealed, I hurt deeply for this man. I was glad he found Parker and also Paulie for giving him a chance.
Parker was the complete opposite to Liam in many ways. But they both shared something in common, they have never felt loved. Parker is an alpha male who was very caring. He protected those he loved. So watching him with Liam made me swoon hard. But Parker was also battling his own demons. He has worked his butt off trying to please and get some sort of acceptance or love from his father. It tore at my heart strings. He soon realizes that it will never happen. Liam provides him the support and acceptance he has never gotten before in his life.

I really enjoyed the book so much. I was not expecting the story to head in the direction that it did, but I am not disappointed at all by it. Sure it may have hurt, but the connection between the characters was really heartwarming. I loved watching both of these characters grow and slowly fall in love with each other. I enjoyed the pace in which everything was developed and revealed. This book hit me in the feels, both bad and good. I just really loved it and I was really happy with the ending. This was my second m/m novel from Melissa Collins and it has only gotten better. I look forward to seeing what other m/m books this author releases.

At first sight Parker Ryan seems to be a man who has everything. He’s a partner in one of New York’s most prestigious law firms, his father's, firm. He has money, he’s good looking, he has a nice apartment and a fancy car. But Ryan is not happy. Despite graduating at the top of his class, Parker never was good enough for his father or for his firm. He’s a good lawyer, a confident man and all his life was determined to prove his father that he’s wrong to think what he thinks about him, to somehow shut him up about what a ‘failure’ he is. Parker is gay, he’s out but his father never really accepted that, hating this fact. He’s not pleased with his life, he hates the cases he works at and the people he works for.
Liam Davis is a tortured soul. For ten years he has been running for his past. When he was just a teenager his innocence was stolen and since then he tried to erase his past hiding who he is and why he’s running. All he could do is start over. With some luck, some help and also some hard work he managed to build a life, a simple life, but a life of his own – with a job as a mechanic and some great, supportive friends. However, his past affected him more than anyone could imagine. He believes he’s not worthy enough to be loved and he believes he doesn’t deserve a family or to be happy.
The two men meet when Parker’s car breaks down and he needs some help. He’s lucky since it happens close to the shop where Parker works. Their first meeting and the interactions between them are not very pleasant. Parker is an a** and at first he doesn’t even know why.
As the story progresses, they start to want more, they become friends and soon after they start falling for each other.
I really enjoyed this one! Emotional and well paced, “Repaired” by Melissa Collins surprised me in a very good way.
Both Parker and Liam felt real to me, relatable and they also were multilayered. I felt for both of them in a different way since they are so different from each other and I’m glad they found each other. Parker is kind of an a**hole at first. Apparently he’s the typical rich, arrogant, confident rich guy, but as the story unfolds we get to see the ‘real’ Parker, his real character. While on the outside he seems like I mentioned above, confident, on the inside he’s hurting. All his life wanted someone to care for him, to support him, to believe in him. His parents treated him all his life like a stranger, refusing to accept that he’s gay and refusing to give him a chance to show how capable he is at his job.
Liam was very easy to like from the start. My heart broke for him. He is so lost, but I’m glad all this time he had his friends who even if they didn’t know everything what happened in the past, they were there for him, caring for him and supporting him. Despite his past, he’s not an angry man. He is sweet and caring and he has a big heart.
I liked how the relationship between these two men progressed. It wasn’t a rushed process and everything felt real and believable, so the frenemies to lovers aspect was done really well IMO. The connection between them was strong and palpable and the author really made me feel that these two men are perfect for each other. In each other they found love and acceptance, supporting and caring for each other in such a lovely way that really warmed my heart. Their romance was so sweet and their passion was fantastically done.
All in all, “Repaired” was a wonderful, heartwarming story with a great storyline, two endearing main characters, a beautiful love story and great writing.

Melissa Collins has without question cemented herself as a 1Click Author as she beautifully writes a tale full of vivid emotion, heart-break and romance. We read with smiles on our faces, our pulses racing as well as tears in our eyes. It was a passionate tale of trauma, angst, second chances, self-discovery and healing as well as a reminder that with love we can overcome anything.

Repaired has real heart as Liam and Parker are both living with their own demons and trying to find their way in life living with a past nestled on their shoulders. Opposites attract as the saying goes, however, yes the materialistic – the lifestyle may be different but inside the shell lives two equally beautiful and hurting hearts looking for something or someone to find them. Two hearts looking to heal and realise their true desires and dreams. Two hearts not only trying to find themselves but the one that completes them.

Yeah, this book just makes me happy!!
Melissa Collins wrote one awesome book. The characters, the story, the issues, the entire package was BEAUTIFULLY done.
Parker Ryan, living his life to make his father happy and proud of him. While deep down, he knows that will never happen no matter of how much of an amazing lawyer he is. Nothing he does makes his father happy and the fact that Parker is gay makes matters so much worse for their relationship.
"Modeling your own life after someone else’s standards, and constantly seeking their approval, was a swift way to make sure you never learn how to make yourself happy."
As his shitty day gets shittier, Parker damages his car at night. Walking to the nearest garage, he finds Liam Davidson.
Liam, a sexy grease monkey, comes face to face with Parker. The sparks that fly for both men is off the charts but those sparks lead to confusion for Liam and Parker.
Liam has a very sad past that he is trying to keep hidden. No on knows his entire story, as he only gave a few things about himself to a couple really close friends that have helped him survive the life he ran away from so many years ago.
As the two men start with friendship they can't deny the attraction they feel for each other. Liam tries hard to not hold onto Parker, but Parker's persistent attempts to get Liam to let go and trust him go answered with a beautiful tale of trust and honesty.
"Trust me?" Parker's blue eyes stared into mine, begging me to agree.
Letting Parker win didn't mean being defeated. It meant being taken and that was something entirely different. It was something I couldn't wait to be. And based on our kisses, I wouldn't have to wait all that long."
The story of Parker and Liam is fabulous to read because their friendship and love was built over time and actions that are from the heart. But the best part of this story, although sad and a horrible to think how often child molestation happens, makes this book AMAZING.
Those last 20% of this book is with out a doubt one of the best I have ever read. This was truly a heartfelt emotion story that really does show the good guys can finish first!!

There's nothing I like more than when two MC who are complete opposites find love with each other. Melissa Collins gives that to us and more with this wonderful love story in Repaired. The angst is there, but so is all the love and sweetness and the wonderful storytelling we've grown to expect from one of her stories. I hated for the story to end!

Okay, I don't often fangirl over M/M romances, but OMG!!! Melissa Collins has done an amazing job with this book. The characters were amazing, real and very passionate!
Liam is a mechanic with a dark past. Parker is a successful lawyer but constantly overshadowed by his oppressive father. When Parker's car ends up with a flat tyre, Liam is the one who has to fix it.
Not impressed by Parker's stand-offish behavior, he dislikes him but not everything is as it seems.
Beneath his arrogance, Parker is a man wanting to feel loved. When he realizes that Liam is hiding a lot beneath his cool exterior, he makes it his purpose to know the other man's secrets. They are brought closer and the mutual attraction cannot be denied. Lust and passion bloom between them but first, they have demons to fight. Will their love succeed?
What I loved about this book was that the author managed to bring two completely different characters together; the gruff mechanic and the classy lawyer. What I also enjoyed was that both men are very forward about their sexuality. They don't hide, they don't beat about the bush. They are not ashamed of who they are. The result is this amazing tale of love, completion of dreams, forgiveness, family, loyalty and passion. I jut fell in love with Liam (he was my favorite) and I swooned over Parker! Wow.
If you're looking for a steamy yet emotional M/M book, then Repaired is for you. Don't miss it. One of the best M/M romances I've ever read.

I was exited when I started this.
It's good in the beginning, and after 20%, it went down hill.
I was disappointed this was not I expected this story to go.
There's no chemistry between two MC, except the sex. Oh and don't let me start with the sex! There's nothing new, and it was not a good sign when I was skimming the sex scenes.
The story line though, was good. Liam was being irritable until 60%-ish and Parker acted like a nagging girlfriend.
I feel sorry about Liam's past, but it still can't give me a grip. That's why I admit it has a good story line.
I didn't hate the story, maybe it's just me that can't connect with the MCs and the writing style which I found still MF style. Liam and Parker's mind sounds like girls in so many ways.
I dunno, I hope it's just me and my nagging tendencies of a great MM stories.
This one was not an earth shattering one, easily to forget.
There's nothing new that I expected it to happen. Guess, it's just not my cup of tea anyway. Sorry.

Repaired by Melissa Collins was absolutely FABULOUS!! I’m a conservative reader… I read the same type of books over and over. I know what I like. But when I read the synopsis for this one I knew that it was going to be a must read for me. What I didn’t expect, because I wasn’t familiar with Melissa Collins' work, was that I was going to have my heart strings tugged in a way that I can’t even express.

On the scale of one to 'God damn it, Melissa, you made me cry again', Repaired rates about an eight. I most definitely felt for these characters as they attempted to make their relationship work despite their less-than-perfect lives. I may not have experienced the brutal ugly cry that Ms. Collins' previous works have wrung from me, but there were times in the second half of this book that I feel it in my gut. It? That sick, sad, hurting feeling that makes you want to wrap the characters up in a big hug and hold tight.
The first half of this book, on the other hand, had me feeling a little detached. As much as I enjoyed the meet-cute for Liam and Parker, as much as I liked the secondary characters that gave support and love where needed (along with some sound advice), it felt a little slow and uneven at times, and didn't give me that overwhelming urge to press on despite time constraints. But press on I did, because I had faith that Ms. Collins would get me there. And she did. I fell in love with Liam and Parker; Parker for his strength, his morals, his faith in his "us" with Liam, and Liam for his bravery in trying to move on and build something real and lasting despite his doubts.
Repaired was, in the end, a book that made me feel the words. Made me feel the past and the pain. Made me feel the heat (whoa, did it ever...!), but it also made me feel that ache inside. Every page that brought me closer to the final one was blessing and a curse -- I was gradually finding the story I had wanted from page one, but I was also getting closer to the end just as I was starting to get attached.
As always, when I finish one of Ms. Collins' books, I'm already chomping at the bit for the next one; another one that'll make it hurt so good, I'd imagine. ~ Beth, 4 stars

There is quite a bit of internal monologue and seemed repetitive and slow in some parts. Even though I was a bit concerned, I knew that if I continued to push through and keep reading, Ms. Collins wouldn't let me down. And I'm damn glad I continued.
Liam and Parker are so wonderful together. Especially once they truly understand where the other one is coming from and just what each of them need. Add in the supporting cast of characters who fully enrich the story and you have a winner! ~ Missy, 4 stars

UGH, I love these damn M/M Romances. I am such a sucker for them. I love the vulnerablilty of the men. This is my favorite book by Mrs. Collins to date. I love the dual POV's. Dialogue here was fantastic, and I will keep saying it, dialogue is my kryptonite. I am just gonna dive into character profiles because I can't even. (I never thought I would say that, like, ever)
Liam: He comes off as rugged and gruff but is really quite sweet and easily hurt. He tends to push away people he is afraid to care about, mistakenly thinking if he doesn't care about someone then he will never get hurt. He is thoughtful and a bit skittish. This man has some serious trauma in his backstory so I will warn you now of triggers if you want to read it. It's quite graphic but then again, all her books are so you should already know.
Parker: I love him! He is confident, articulate, caring and knows how to apologize when he is being a dick. He takes charge and when he cares about someone he isn't afraid of what people will think when he shows it. He isn't agressive in his pursuit, more like passionate in his attempts. He is understanding and can read unspoken signals pretty well.

We both had our issues, but in some crooked way, we'd figured out how to make our present work, despite the hatred we both felt about other parts of our lives. We hadn't talked about the demons we were both trying to keep at bay, yet being together halted their progress.
Liam instantly relaxed at my confession, leaning away from the table. A deep breath filled his hard chest and the anxiety washed away from his face. I couldn't help but wonder if he'd met the same reaction I had so many times. It twisted my stomach to think in this day and age people could be obtuse enough to hate someone based soley on who they slept with.
I would recommend this to anyone who reads M/M romance. I will probably read it again.

Wanted to love this but the emotion just wasn't there for me. Great storyline and some good characters - can't pinpoint what was missing but I just found it difficult to connect emotionally with the MC's.
Found Liam's past hard to read but felt the author rushed trying to tie everything up at the end especially with his family :(

DNF’d at 84%...I tried. I get what was supposed to happen here and what logically I am supposed to feel about these characters at this point but it isn’t happening. Initially I was excited, I felt like Liam had a past that caused him to set up barriers and was at an age where loneliness and meeting (almost said that other dude) Parker was perfect timing. Parker, a lawyer, was used to taking on “tough cases” and was going to be able to alpha lawyer Liam into relationship submission.
Unfortunately I got too much internal drama with Parker working out his shit with his father & something with restoring a car. Liam….I don’t know what to say about this guy. Initially I thought he was going to be this hard guy who overcame a shitty childhood, ran away and made a life. I was all excited….but Liam was kind of….well I’m not sure and that’s the problem. For someone trying so hard to not talk about his past that shit came up a lot!!!
I also needed more interaction between the two MC’s and less with everyone else. I got they were initially attracted to each other but never really got to see a real connection develop between the two. Sure I was told they were all into each other BUT I couldn’t see it. There interactions basically amounted to a lot of dirty talk, sex, restoring a car, someone moved offices, someone fixed a tire….you get my drift.
So yeah…not finishing…

I read this FABULOUS book with my fellow reviewer Lisa. Here is what we have to say about it;
Lisa: Repaired is the newest stand-alone M/M romance by Melissa Collins. I now have a few books by this author under my belt and I readily admit that she is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. Her books are so heartfelt, passionate and real. This latest story is no exception. Both men in this tale are in desperate need of love, understanding and acceptance. Can they find their way to a life of happiness that seems so far out of reach? What are your overall first impressions regarding this book, Mark? I know you love this author as much as I do. :)
Mark: OMG, Lisa! Once again Melissa has pushed all my buttons with this latest addition to her M/M romances and all I can say is, at the end of this book I was left emotionally drained. Melissa for me is a genius. A wordsmith of emotion, with real characters and situations that you connect to immediately. You feel for them, their joys, their lows, their issues, their emotions, their fears and hopes. Her writing flows and reads easily but is never superficial or overly flowery, always letting the reader get to the real emotion driving her characters. Her plots are well paced and thought out, keeping the reader glued to the page. Once again Melissa builds up the dynamics of romance beautifully with her two MCs before they get to the sex, so you have to be patient but when it happens it’s all the more meaningful and poignant because of it, not forgetting hot of course! She took me once again on a roller-coaster ride of indescribable feelings, from despair to exuberance, from anger to love, from anguish to pure joy. Yep, it is little wonder for me that she is a New York Times Best Selling Author. Melissa in my book deserves the Pultizer Prize for Romance. I would buy her books blind. I think that possibly makes me a qualified and certified fan-girl!!! *squeee* - lol! Anyway, time to calm down and talk about the story. Over to you Lisa while I go and fan myself.

He’s allowed only a few people into his inner circle and even they do not know everything that happened to him when he was a young teen. Liam is guarded and firmly believes that love, a family and a happy future are not in his destiny. Who knew it would take a sexy lawyer with some alpha tendencies to tilt Liam’s world off its axis and chip away at his carefully erected walls?
Mark: Liam, oh poor Liam! From the first chapter my heart went out to him. This lost and lonely boy on the run. Trying to escape a past he doesn’t want to remember and with all good reason. However, Melissa doesn’t portray him as some helpless young man, like a puppy looking for love. No, he has real issues that keep him from believing he can ever be happy. He has raw spots that when pressed make him just want to run and hide all over again, where his temper flares up uncontrollably and you’re left thinking, “WTF is his problem?” So as much as I loved him, in real life he would seriously be difficult to handle. Right up until the end, Liam is shrouded in this mystery about his past that he doesn’t want to share. It gives the reader the constant feeling of, “My goodness, what did he suffer as a teenager to make him so mistrustful of people?” - “What is this terrible past that he can’t tell anyone?” However, Melissa’s skilful writing starts to give you the clues hidden within his behaviour of what possibly could have happened, but you never know for sure. At about 50% in I had a pretty good idea of what he could have gone through but not exactly. Even then you push it to the back of your mind as it is one of the unspeakable horrors.
Then at the end of the book when the dam breaks and there is no way out for Liam, he lays it out there for Parker - OMG and HOLY SH**!! It was like being run over by an express train of emotion. I went from despair, anger and being sick to the pit of my stomach (not at Liam but what he experienced in his past), to relief, happiness and an overwhelming joy. Yes, I cried a river for both characters! But most of all for Liam. Nothing gets my tear ducts flowing more than when a broken character finds his closure. You’d better take over Lisa, my monitor is going blurry again with watery eyes just thinking about Liam. Lets change the subject quick. So, what did you think of Parker then?
Lisa: Parker Ryan exudes confidence and is the picture of a successful man all wrapped up in a freshly pressed suit. His life has always been about pleasing his distant and stoic father, who hates the fact that Parker is gay. Rather than accepting that he will never be good enough in his eyes, Parker relentlessly pursues his father’s agenda all the while sacrificing a life that can actually make him happy. He’s a successful lawyer working for his father’s prestigious law firm, engaging in cases he does not believe in and working for individuals who make his skin crawl. Parker comes from money and greed and is unable to grasp his bleak future. It takes one incredibly broken mechanic to challenge him and perhaps set him on a different path.
Mark: Yep, your typical case of on the outside he’s all successful, suave, swimming in money and the occasional asshole. On the inside though he is as emotionally poor and broken as Liam. He really is that child who had no love and affection from his parents. Possibly the only reason his parents ever had him in the first place was to make sure their Law Firm continues in family hands, a child to be used as a means to an end like everything else in their lives. What a shock that must have been when he told his father he was gay. His father never lets him forget it either, that this is one of his biggest disappointments in Parker and has no qualms in telling him. What a bigot of the worst kind. Ooohh, I wanted to give him a mouthful and stand up to him for Parker. But it takes Liam to show that Parker does need to cower to his father, constantly trying to feign his affection like the lost little boy that was never loved. Liam gave him the strength to break away, giving his father a huge one finger salute (YES!! *fist-pump*) and realising that he is loved very much even if it isn’t from his own family. But what about the pair of them together? Two world’s collide, right?
Lisa: Yes, the romance between Liam and Parker was so sweet and passionate. I loved how they both simply fell for one another, something they did not see coming. It was not easy and they both find themselves being thrown off kilter; however, what they shared was beautifully messy, honest and something worth diving into. I think Liam came into Parker’s life at exactly the right moment. It was like Parker had hit a fork in the dark and dismal road he was travelling. He could continue sacrificing his own life and happiness and be the man he thinks his father wants him to be, or he could finally be brave enough to break free and become the man he has always wanted to become. I think Liam and the promise of what they could have were the little push that Parker needed. As their lives intertwined, Liam was someone who brought light and happiness into Parker’s world and it was that beautiful light that was calling him and led him to take the right path.
Mark: Exactly! As broken as Liam was he had admirable qualities that just drew Parker in. They were, for each other, a shining light in their individual, emotional turmoil that promised it could be more. Together they could see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it’s a long journey they have to embark on first. They could heal each other, however as always there are a number of hurdles to be jumped. Coming from two completely different backgrounds as far as social class is concerned, the one common thing they had was that the love of their families were non-existent. So the question was more, could these differences in social class be bridged, even though they are good for each other, can they accept their very different pasts. This is still a difficult thing to escape and Melissa handles this subject beautifully, never saccharine, always realistic and down-to-earth.
Lisa: Parker was also someone that challenged Liam and gave him exactly what he needed. He slowly breaks through his cautiously erected barriers even when Liam tries to push him away. It definitely took time for Liam to trust Parker enough with his past and his secrets, something that did not come easy for him. I simply loved how Parker stepped up to the plate and slowly began to repair all of Liam’s cracks. Just like Liam was slowly repairing all of his. What they gave to one another was nothing short of beautiful.
Mark: Couldn’t agree more Lisa. Parker was exactly the sort of person Liam needed at that time in his life. He breaks down Liam’s defences with an empathy that can only come when two people really understand and love each other. He is supportive when needed, challenging when needed, knowing when to back off when he has gone too far with Liam. You can feel all of this which keeps you willing them on to that light at the end of the tunnel.
Lisa: All in all, Repaired is yet another example of why I love this author and her beautifully intricate romances. Ms. Collins never fails to capture my attention and my heart with her emotional, effortless and poignant writing style. I love how she took these two men from different worlds and showed us how even when our lives seem to be a mess and heading in a direction that you may never have expected, even when there are twists and turns you may not see coming, love can show us the way.

Mark: Yep, your typical case of on the outside he’s all successful, suave, swimming in money and the occasional asshole. On the inside though he is as emotionally poor and broken as Liam. He really is that child who had no love and affection from his parents. Possibly the only reason his parents ever had him in the first place was to make sure their Law Firm continues in family hands, a child to be used as a means to an end like everything else in their lives. What a shock that must have been when he told his father he was gay. His father never lets him forget it either, that this is one of his biggest disappointments in Parker and has no qualms in telling him. What a bigot of the worst kind. Ooohh, I wanted to give him a mouthful and stand up to him for Parker. But it takes Liam to show that Parker does need to cower to his father, constantly trying to feign his affection like the lost little boy that was never loved. Liam gave him the strength to break away, giving his father a huge one finger salute (YES!! *fist-pump*) and realising that he is loved very much even if it isn’t from his own family. But what about the pair of them together? Two world’s collide, right?
Lisa: Yes, the romance between Liam and Parker was so sweet and passionate. I loved how they both simply fell for one another, something they did not see coming. It was not easy and they both find themselves being thrown off kilter; however, what they shared was beautifully messy, honest and something worth diving into. I think Liam came into Parker’s life at exactly the right moment. It was like Parker had hit a fork in the dark and dismal road he was travelling. He could continue sacrificing his own life and happiness and be the man he thinks his father wants him to be, or he could finally be brave enough to break free and become the man he has always wanted to become. I think Liam and the promise of what they could have were the little push that Parker needed. As their lives intertwined, Liam was someone who brought light and happiness into Parker’s world and it was that beautiful light that was calling him and led him to take the right path.
Mark: Exactly! As broken as Liam was he had admirable qualities that just drew Parker in. They were, for each other, a shining light in their individual, emotional turmoil that promised it could be more. Together they could see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it’s a long journey they have to embark on first. They could heal each other, however as always there are a number of hurdles to be jumped. Coming from two completely different backgrounds as far as social class is concerned, the one common thing they had was that the love of their families were non-existent. So the question was more, could these differences in social class be bridged, even though they are good for each other, can they accept their very different pasts. This is still a difficult thing to escape and Melissa handles this subject beautifully, never saccharine, always realistic and down-to-earth.
Lisa: Parker was also someone that challenged Liam and gave him exactly what he needed. He slowly breaks through his cautiously erected barriers even when Liam tries to push him away. It definitely took time for Liam to trust Parker enough with his past and his secrets, something that did not come easy for him. I simply loved how Parker stepped up to the plate and slowly began to repair all of Liam’s cracks. Just like Liam was slowly repairing all of his. What they gave to one another was nothing short of beautiful.
Mark: Couldn’t agree more Lisa. Parker was exactly the sort of person Liam needed at that time in his life. He breaks down Liam’s defences with an empathy that can only come when two people really understand and love each other. He is supportive when needed, challenging when needed, knowing when to back off when he has gone too far with Liam. You can feel all of this which keeps you willing them on to that light at the end of the tunnel.
Lisa: All in all, Repaired is yet another example of why I love this author and her beautifully intricate romances. Ms. Collins never fails to capture my attention and my heart with her emotional, effortless and poignant writing style. I love how she took these two men from different worlds and showed us how even when our lives seem to be a mess and heading in a direction that you may never have expected, even when there are twists and turns you may not see coming, love can show us the way.

Repaired by Melissa Collins is a book about two damaged men finding each other by chance and being drawn together -- almost pulled towards each other as they each fulfill a need the other has. While reading this book I quickly fell in love with Liam and connected with Parker -- and I knew that these two men were going to have a powerful story.
Liam Davis is a tortured man with a haunted past that has made him need certain things in his life. He has a close knit group of friends, those who he is closest too..yet they really don't know Liam. Nobody knows Liam. As Liam runs from his past determined to avoid deep connections..and doing just that..he meets Parker Ryan.
Parker Ryan, attorney at law - wealthy and by any onlooker a man with a perfect life. In reality, Parker is viewed as a failure and regret by the one man who should always love him, his Father. Parker tries to do everything he can to gain his father's approval -- yet he continues to come up short. Resolved that this is just how his life will be he has all but accepted that this will be his life, until he meets Liam Davis.
Fate brings them together but a recognition of fractured souls keeps them together as the men complete each other and show each other that there is always a chance to be repaired.
"Sometimes life worked out in the most unlikely ways. Could I have possibly known when I met Liam, demanding that he help me fix my car that we’d be here? If you have not read anything by Melissa Collins then I highly suggest you grab your box of Kleenex and a big glass of wine -- then dive right in to Repaired. Melissa writes stories that draw you in, the characters will capture your heart, you will become invested in their journey as you read her books. Collins' is known for writing characters who are slightly damaged with painful pasts that are able to overcome while building solid, loving, lasting relationships -- even when it's the last thing they are looking for.
While reading Repaired I admit there were moments when I thought, "Okay, Melissa what is going to happen here?" But I knew that Ms. Collins' would soon be delivering a plot twist or character trait that would draw me in because these two characters were just too complex to expect anything less -- let me say, I was right! So if you find yourself wondering, why there is so much back story or something along that thought..have faith and keep reading! In the end, Repaired made me feel...well, repaired. I had felt Liam & Parker's pain,
I had followed through their journey of coming together, and I had witnessed them repairing each other's wounded souls. The way the story was developed literally brings the reader through the journey with the characters -- so have the faith!

This one was an oke read for me. I enjoyed reading it, but it took so long for the story to really progress. Around the half way mark it got better. I liked the heros, but I didn't really feel a bond with them. What happend with Liam was pretty fucked up...and I did feel sorry for him, but for some reason I just had difficulty connecting with the story. Maybe it was just me and it was the wrong time to read this one. 3 stars for me.

Melissa has done it again!! She has written a beautiful and unique love story that hooked me in from the start.
Liam needs to start over and leave his past behind and never look back. He doesn't know where his next meal will come from but he will not give up. He just needs someone to give him a chance so he can prove that he is not just a punk kid but hardworking and trustworthy. Hope was on his side one night when he got that chance. And ten years later he would meet the man that would turn his world upside down...
Parker didn't like where his life was heading. Luck was not on his side one day but when he hit a pothole while out for a drive his life was starting to look up when he had to get it fixed. When he saw Liam, sparks flew but he didn't make the best first impression but was hoping he would get the chance to change it around. Liam thought Parker was another rich asshole but his body was betraying him, it wanted that man but had to get his head in the right space. Once, he needed a chance and now he was giving Parker one and hopefully his gut was right about the sexy man in a three-piece suit.
Parker and Liam are total opposites when it comes to looking at their covers but in between the lines they were the same. They both had pasts they would never want to remember and they didn't know what the future would look like. What they did know was that they wanted to be there together. Before they can do that the past needs to be the past. Liam has his secrets and Parker will not push him to talk. It's his past, his story to tell and Parker would only tell him that he was there to listen when ready. Liam was worried that Parker would leave him if he knew. Will this secret tear them apart? Is there a future for them?
I love Parker and Liam. Hard. Their connection is beautiful. Their chemistry is fucking hot. Liam gets Parker to loosen up and have fun which is not something Parker was used to. It wasn't to get Parker to change but to smile, Liam loved to see him smile. He knew under that suit there was a man that could have fun and get dirty. And Liam loved that Parker was in control, he needed to be dominated in the best way.
Overall...it was a beautiful and heartbreaking story about two men that needed to be repaired. I laughed, got hot and bothered and cried. The best combo!!

Not where I saw this going but was truly NOT disappointed. Melissa embraces romance and it's trials like no other but her spin on an M/M struggle will leave you in awe. Liam and Parker was just two opposites making a perfect whole.
Repaired is gut wrenching and will leave you shivering with a feeling that just can't be put into words. It is about more than the sexual chemistry but the fight that defines their lives as well as change it for the better. I can't wait until the book world get their hands on the beauty.

Przepadłam dla tej książki... Przepadłam dla Liama i Parkera - tych złamanych chłopaków, którzy w sobie nawzajem znaleźli oparcie i siłę, by zacząć sklejać kawałki, które wydawało się, że nigdy już nie będą do siebie pasować i znaleźć te, które uznali już dawno za zagubione i stracone na wieki... Przepadłam dla tej pięknej historii, która momentami łamała serducho, ale która tak naprawdę jest pełna powoli budowanego szczęścia i nadziei, że przyszłość i szczęście jest możliwe, nawet jeżeli wcześniej było się tylko stosem połamanych kawałków 💙💙💙

I do love M/M books and I can’t for the life of me remember why I was so apprehensive when I dived into my first many moons ago. There is something about the connection in these books that melts my heart, everything is more intense and it is for this reason that I am an M/M addict. This was another one of those reads, that intense connection, it gave me the flutters and once again I was championing these two men.
Liam and Parker were as opposite as opposite can be, but then we all know that saying how opposites attract...even though their first meeting was far from smooth, even then I felt that sizzle, saw them fireworks and you just knew that if these two ever got together it would be intense and I was so right, this was intense.
Liam was a runaway and throughout the book you are trying to figure out why and what he was running from, you have an idea but nothing is truly revealed until a pivotal moment and the build up to this stopped my heart. It was heart breaking. Liam was lucky, he was found, starving, dirty and desperate and was taken in by a man that had the hugest heart and became Liam’s one and only friend. He gave Liam a job and a job that Liam has remained in for over ten years. Their friendship is strong and he is the father type figure that Liam never had.
Parker is a lawyer, a lawyer that is a partner in his father’s firm. A man he doesn’t get on with, a man who hardly recognises him, a man who really despises him, a man who just sees him as a regret as a mistake. Parker tries so hard to make his father love him, respect him, it is heart breaking and when the real feelings finally come out, it was truly devastating.
Both of these men crave acceptance, they each have their issues, Liam more so than Parker but Liam is reserved, he is a hard nut to crack, he requires perseverance and thank god that Parker had the patience of a saint. Parker, in the beginning came across as the cocky, arrogant arse that you would expect from a lawyer, he does himself no favours, but underneath that false bravado is an extremely endearing man. Liam himself has a façade to break down and once Liam and Parker find the men underneath, sparks fly and they were truly amazing together. Sometimes you can just tell, you know that moment when you know they are “the one.” This really came across in this story; you knew this was the be all and end all for these two. Neither were looking for it, but it hit them over the head and in the heart anyways and while they have their issues to work through, they both took the time.
I loved how these two discover each other, the time they take to “find” each other, that voyage of discovery. It is slow; it is intense and was truly beautiful. Issues that take time to break down, deal with and finally put away, that giving and receiving of complete trust, that handing yourself over, mind, body and soul. It was real, it was tangible, I felt every brick come down and with every one your heart beats that bit quicker. I was willing these two on, I wanted them to succeed.
We have dark pasts that are dealt with sympathetically and empathetically, men that have never felt loved, never felt wanted and at times this was heart-breaking. This book may contain triggers for some but as I said above, it was not done for gratification, it felt like a real story, panning out before your eyes. My only little critique was that I felt one piece of the puzzle fell a little too conveniently, but overall this was an extremely addictive read. A book that once I started, I couldn’t stop until the last word was read. I had tears and I had smiles but at the end I knew that I read a great book, a story that I will remember and one that I loved wholeheartedly. I highlighted so much of this book; I love this author’s voice.

What do you get when you have one seriously hot and frustrated alpha male lawyer and one devastatingly broken and beautiful mechanic?? One hell of a story....
Repaired by Melissa Collins is the third book I have read from her. I am enamored by her free flowing and effortless writing style. Her stories are always emotional, witty and seductive. I love that she writes about the lost and defeated people. She creates unique characters the you can't help but fall for. The boys in Repaired, Parker and Liam are the epitome of opposite, but they compliment each other so well. Both providing exactly what the other needs. Two people who are so broken for very different reasons. Even with all their cracks they are perfect for each other. Theirs is a love story based on trust and devotion.
Liam is sweet, oppressed and in desperate need of love and acceptance. He's honest and real. He comes from nothing.
He's running from his past....
Parker exudes confidence but always seeks approval. He's a take charge alpha male, who is also a care giver with an abundance of compassion. He comes from money and greed.
He can't see his future...
Put these two together sparks fly, friendship blooms and love soars, but can they get the life they deserve? Or will they allow their demons to rule them?
Both have had it hard, but their hearts and souls remained true and sincere. Not letting there situations define them. It's another inspirational story of hope, love and salvation.
There are a few twists and turns, I did not see coming. As well as, some very interesting and charming characters, that I would like to know more about.... hint hint :)
Once again, I have fallen madly in love with Melissa's boys!! I must thank her for giving them to me. My only wish is for everyone to take a chance on Melissa's M/M books. Repaired by Melissa Collins is the third book I have read from her. I am enamored by her free flowing and effortless writing style. Her stories are always emotional, witty and seductive. I love that she writes about the lost and defeated people. She creates unique characters the you can't help but fall for. The boys in Repaired, Parker and Liam are the epitome of opposite, but they compliment each other so well. Both providing exactly what the other needs. Two people who are so broken for very different reasons. Even with all their cracks they are perfect for each other. Theirs is a love story based on trust and devotion.
Liam is sweet, oppressed and in desperate need of love and acceptance. He's honest and real. He comes from nothing.
He's running from his past....
Parker exudes confidence but always seeks approval. He's a take charge alpha male, who is also a care giver with an abundance of compassion. He comes from money and greed.
He can't see his future...
Put these two together sparks fly, friendship blooms and love soars, but can they get the life they deserve? Or will they allow their demons to rule them?
Both have had it hard, but their hearts and souls remained true and sincere. Not letting there situations define them. It's another inspirational story of hope, love and salvation.
There are a few twists and turns, I did not see coming. As well as, some very interesting and charming characters, that I would like to know more about.... hint hint :)
Once again, I have fallen madly in love with Melissa's boys!! I must thank her for giving them to me. My only wish is for everyone to take a chance on Melissa's M/M books. Double the cocks, double the deliciousness. That may be my new life mantra. oh, also, this is a fantastic love story.
Parker and Liam are completely different from each other but they’re both looking to be repaired (even if they don’t think so). When they meet its like a flame ignites from the hole in each of their souls, desperate to get them (and keep them) together. Each of them struggle with how to find themselves and Melissa does a great job of identifying the weak parts of each men when outwardly they both appear to be so strong.
Parker is having a shittastic day. He’s an attorney, working for his father, and finds himself in the depths of work hell. I loved him instantly. He’s overly harsh, overly assholey, and overly entitled. But I loved him. When his terrible day ends in a flat tire, he’s about ready to tear someone’s head of. You’d think that meeting Liam at the repair shop would quell that desire, but no – he’s shocked at the need that flares up in him when they meet and his jerkfaceness only ratchets up another notch. WELL DONE, PARK.
Liam has had a completely different upbringing than Parker. He’s not intimidated by his money, but hates how he doesn’t put a value on it either. Liam isn’t sure why he wants to keep talking to Parker but he’s drawn to him. However, he’s not sure he can be with him the way that he wants. He’s not sure he can even have a relationship after his past.
The growth that both of these characters experience is fantastic. Between every searing kiss and intimate fuck, there’s a real relationship that is building brick by brick allowing them to separate from their pasts and build their future. The book then takes a twist that I wasn’t expecting at all that had me flipping the pages and staying up way too late to find out what happens. I loved this book – 4.5 stars.

I want to start this out with thanking Melissa Collins so much for not ending the book in a cliffhanger. I think I would have died. She has a way of grabbing you and throwing you in the book. Making you feel the love, hurt, pain and happiness. I can't get enough of her work.
At about 35% of the book you get the first kiss scene. This scene was so hot and sexy I had to stop and make a Goodreads update.

That kiss scene has seriously topped all others that I have read. I think my heart stopped as I slowly read each work not once but three times. There were so many emotions behind that first kiss. Took my breath away.
Liam is one damaged man. Slowly learning his pain almost ripped my heart out. The progress you get of him turning his life around is amazing. How he slowly comes into the man he is meant to be. And all that thanks to Parker. I wasn't sure about Parker at first. He was a bit of a prick. But as I got to know more about him and read their interactions together I fell in love with him. These two as a couple are the perfect fit. They compliment each other, help each other. I loved these two together. I worried through half of the book that something would break them apart but the love they shared and their different strengths kept them together. Not to mention some persistence on Parker's part helped too.
I loved everything about this book and the characters in it. Another amazing book by a very talented author. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

"I never quite understood how who you loved made a difference in the person you were..." I love this quote early on in Repaired. In my opinion it sets the tone for Melissa Collins latest release. I finished this book a few days ago and have been trying to figure out how to express how amazing this book is in my review. I have read every book Melissa Collins has written. I know every time I review them I say she can't possibly make me love the characters more than the last ones. Once again, I was wrong. Repaired is the story of Liam and Parker. Two really hot guys who have little in common, but seem destined for each other. Liam was a teenage runaway with big secrets, but finds his place while Parker had everything money could buy except the love he deserved.
"Have you ever felt as if the life you're living is supposed to be so much more than it actually is?" A chance encounter over a flat tire is how Liam and Parker meet. While an attraction is there, it isn't smooth sailing for these two. Life differences, expectations, and secrets affect the budding relationship. I didn't see the last 15% of the book coming, but that is all I am going to say about it. I do not want to give too much away. You need to read it.
"All we'd ever wanted was to feel repaired enough to find happiness in the simplest moments of life." This was a very happy moment reading and finishing this book. Well done Melissa!!

Melissa's best work yet!
When I read the Prologue, I knew it was going to be an amazing read!!
What do you get when you have 2 men who are total opposites and meet by chance? You get one hell of a story that will have you feeling so many emotions. Liam is running away from his past and Parker wants a better future. Their first initial meeting wasn't great but as they got to know each other, their friendship grew. They are dealing with some issues and at one point I was on the verge of crying because of things that happened. That/s how you know you are emotionally invested in the story. If an author can do that to me, I am hooked!
We go along their journey to finding forgiveness, finding love, being accepted and and just being. Sometimes, you meet someone and they come into your life for a reason. For these two., they both needed to be repaired in some way and this was an amazing story showing just that!! I have been a fan of Melissa's from day 1 and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next.
This is one book, you don't want to miss out on!! Pick up your copy today and enjoy Liam and Parker's journey! <3

I felt a little sickened after reading this book, because there was too much of everything.
I skipped almost all the sex scenes because they were repetitive and boring.
And that sort of insta-love felt too forced and unrealistic to me, so I was reading about this love, but I wasn't feeling it.
And then, how it's possible that a book about a delicate theme like is so gushing?
I'm sorry, but I think that the author treated that theme with too little sensitivity and with too much superficiality.
And the brother thing?
The ideology behind this book is agreeable, but the book misses finesse, and real sensitivity.
