Lucy has fled The Light, but her journey toward freedom has only begun. Setting foot in a world she is wholly unprepared for, she's forced to rely on the people who kept Lukas captive for so long.
When the Head Councilman forces Lukas into a Binding with another Vessel, the game changes. Everyone is a pawn and everything is at stake.
No one is safe, and Lucy and Lukas are on opposing teams.
The Light is more than a religion; the future of the world rests in their hands.
Or maybe in the hands of Lucy and Lukas, if they can come together to let their light shine.
Book 2 follows Lucy after she left Lukas to go find help to overrun the Councilmen and Humblemen of the Light. She is going to find Charlie who helped her get to the Light. She fled with Timid and they are both unprepared to live outside in the wild. She is learning more about her own Light and what it can do. Will her and Lukas be enough to right the wrongs of the Light?
I enjoyed Book 2 as much as the first! Lots of action throughout, I couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed seeing Lucy break from her sheltered compound self into someone willing to fight for good.
The action continues in Glimmer after Lucy escapes from the Light and tries to free Lukas. The book was action packed and fast paced and hard to put down. The narrating switched frequently from Lucy to Lukas which built tension and kept the reader engaged. I can't wait to read the final installment in the series, Glow, and see how the story ends.
