This book is a MFMMM why choose. This book has a double omega dynamic to it, but the male omega is not with the alphas in the main story. It can be read as a standalone but exists in the larger PoisonVerse Universe!

The paperback colours are different than the ebook so it can be just as bright in real life (purple doesn't always print as well).

About the author

A British-Canadian writer, artist, and ex nurse currently living in BC, Canada. All the art-from the cover, to the illustrations within the pages-are her own.

I'm a self-proclaimed angst queen, and I write omegaverse and fantasy romance, most often with many lovers per lady. I have a strong preference toward enemies to lovers, bully, and dark romance.

The voices I bring to the paper draw from the distinct social settings in which I have lived, the many places I have travelled, and from my time in health care.

I maintain a commitment not to write pregnancy in my books (including epilogues). While I have nothing against the beauty of babies, my leading ladies find HEAs outside of children <3

Interesting world, violent and dangerous, told from all POV. I liked the FMC, her innocence was endearing and protected by her pack. Sin was not the typical male omega and the way he interacted with his alpha’s was purely platonic. The storyline was griping and perfectly paced. Can’t wait for another installment from the world of Anarchy.

I am often disappointed by mind numbingly stupid and selfish main characters. Making her read fast doesn't make her smart. If anything, it just proves she really isn't that bright, since you'd think reading a lot would give her some ability to reason. I know it's aiming to make her seem naive and cute like a hyperactive dog, always running everywhere and stealing the neighbor's undies, haha, how adorable, good thing doing that won't kill us all! but I don't really feel a thrill of romance in that scenario.

Good thing Crescent isn't really the main character! Sin is the the main character. All the tension, all the power dynamics, all the real plot revolves entirely around him.
Buuuuttt he doesn't fuck his packmates, so if you're thinking, that's cool, I don't mind a pack where the male omega is the center, let's go! Just be prepared, because aside from him repeatedly robbing his male packmates of body autonomy (for no reason except... spite? I think? Cruelty for cruelties sake? Because it's supposed to be hot and it totally makes sense that all these feral alphas are cool with someone randomly making them kneel for an hour on concrete?) there's no MM. I'm not even really into MM and I still think it's weird this book had none. If I was into it I would be annoyed.

There's also 0% romantic tension with the fmc because they match immediately and then treat her like a miracle angel made of sugar no matter what she does... kind of like you would with a pet dog.
Which, you know, sweet fluffy books with no tension or conflict between love interests are fine, but if I'm gonna pick up a gritty prison OV with one female omega thrown into a prison with 1000 male alphas, I'm not reading it for super tender romance and half the alphas not even getting laid until the last few chapters. I know there was a ton of grit and violence outside the pack, but, like... eating a burrito with layers up the length of it isn't great, you know? I want my grit mixed into the romance, not a big bite of sour cream at the top, then some lettuce, then a bite of only meat, then more lettuce.

The lettuce is the disappointing romance. The sour cream is obviously the violence.

So yeah, not my kinda book, but it's well written so I'm sure someone will enjoy it.

This book starts at a phrenic pace and it never stops.
This is such a great story about how poor Crescent was dropped in what was similar to a battle ground and had to find a way to survive.
I love how, even though everything is an uphill battle, she manages to develop and expand her character and learn new things. Some things are interesting and others are very naughty!
The males in the story range from morally grey to pitch black. I love Sin as he is not what you think and he manages to bring humour to the story, even if it is unintentional. I love the scenes with Karma and Phantom and how Sin tortures them. So funny! Whilst, Vandle is a different beast entirely and I love the turnaround from total psycho to pack lead.
The best bit about this story is the fact that you think you know what his happening, but the story goes in a completely different direction and that twist, what a treat!
This is a great story and I would love to read more books in this series!

Everything she writes is amazing. Love her work. Ok, so this one was a little more complex we have the FMC in a jail. The only female omega mind you. How we meet all the males in her pack *wink* *wink* And then how she slowly breaks out of the cycle that she started with 😂(ifykyk). The veryyyyyy long 10 hardest days, of their lives, that feels like it's an entire lifetime. Chapter 1 intrigued, next thing you know your 50% in and need to leave for work in a couple hours, so you reluctantly put the book down and start getting ready.

I hope we get about a million more of these set in Anarchy. The real dream here is that we get to see an older (maybe, gasp, 30 year old... and maybe even not tiny!?) omega matched with one of the other bad guy packs. Hope springs eternal.

That being said, I also hope we see a shift to Marie Mackay's usual writing style. The characters and dialogue were way flatter than any of her previous books.

A HUGE missing component was the tension that is usually built through the slow burn. The insta-love just didn't land with the same intensity.

I'm wondering if it is due to the collaboration?

I'd love to see more of the omega's from the convent sent to anarchy but that's more about the potential of the ideas than the quality of this specific story

The giggling and kicking of feet I had in this book, man, my blanket is in a knot. So much fun, I love crescent and her … proclivities 😂 I’m not sure if touch-starved is a common omegaverse thing, or specific to these authors, but it was my first time coming across it and it was perfect for this story and our fmc, a great foundation.

The pacing was a bit off in the middle and then rushed in the end, and I do have a couple superrrrrrr minor plot hole questions, but over all I love it and will definitely be picking up carnage when it comes out!

Another incredible addition to the poisonverse. This one had me at the edge of my seat the entire time. Crescent was a beautiful innocent omega trying her best. I loved how she interacted with the mayhem around her. And Sin!?! The introduction of a sigma designation! I am here for it. Can’t wait for more stories out of anarchy!

shes a sheltered omega. gets dropped into prison hole full of alphas. a smaller group of 4 then 5 decide shes theirs. they're scheduled for parole in 10 days. they just have to survive, like the whole prison trying to k1ll them.

I've not read a Marie Mackay book that I didn't enjoy. She writes fantastic omegaverse, with sweet and slightly damaged omegas, and equally damanged alphas. Some tasty crossovers/nods to her other books in there, for the discerning reader to appreciate. scrummy yummy, ate it up...

Crescent is a gold pack omega, brainwashed by the convent (horrible place) and thrown into Anarchy - an underground floor beneath the prison the feral Alpha’s where if they spend 3 years there (no laws, no guards, staff or cameras) they can appeal for their freedom.

Phantom, Karma, Sin and Vandle have 10 days left till their appeal - Anarchy never gets sent female omegas but when Crescent gets sent and they realise she’s their scent match, they try and survive the prison and other packs till they can be free.

The convent really fucked her up and I felt so bad for her, how naive she was but the guys did their best at reassuring and taking care of her. I loved her relationship with all of them - Marie writes them all so different and you get to learn about their pasts.

She’s obsessed with keys and I loved it. 🔑

My least favourite of the series but I still loved it! HEA 🫶🏼🖤
